The creditor that sold it to them I have never done business with and I was never contacted by. I was also NEVER contacted by Torres Credit Services. This is fraud and unethical. I have filed a report with my local law enforcement agency and also with the **** I want the collection removed from the credit agencies immediately. The account number for the collection on my ********************** report is ******X.

In May 2024, my credit report was affected due to Torres Credit Services reporting a "new collection account" to my report. I have not been contacted by the company nor was I aware of any such attempt. AFTER doing my own investigation, I saw that TCS "opened" an account and then did a collection account and reported both to my report. While I understand my particular situation may not pertain to others, the company is to reach out in an attempt to collect this debt if not through call then through notice via mail. None of that has taken place and I am requesting that they remove their accounts off my report.

It is a electric bill that I had already been trying to take care of. The electric company filed their own status on my credit report. This company did not contact me to advise that they were retained to collect funds. I just saw it appear on my report and now it shows 2 times.

I am writing to file a formal complaint against Torres Credit Services, Inc. for their unethical and unjustified actions regarding my credit report. The following details outline the issues I have encountered:No Prior Relationship or Documentation: I have never done business with Torres Credit Services, Inc., nor have I had any accounts or financial dealings with them. I have not received any documentation or communication from them regarding the alleged debt they claim I owe. Their actions are based on an account that is completely unfamiliar to me, and no information has been provided to validate the existence or nature of this debt.Lack of Communication: Torres Credit Services, Inc. failed to contact me before reporting the alleged debt to the credit bureaus. According to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) and other relevant consumer protection laws, I should have received a phone call or a letter by mail prior to any negative reporting. This disregard for due process and failure to provide proper notice is a violation of the FDCPA.Continual Updates: Torres Credit Services, Inc. has continued to update this entry on my credit report to make it appear more recent. This manipulation is intended to amplify the negative impact on my credit score, which is both deceptive and harmful. In light of these concerns, I kindly request that the Better Business Bureau conduct a thorough investigation into the practices of Torres Credit Services, Inc. Their actions not only violate fair debt collection practices but also reflect deceptive practices that can severely harm consumers. Please note that I am prepared to pursue legal action if this matter is not resolved promptly and satisfactorily.Thank you for your attention to this serious matter. I look forward to your prompt response and resolution.Sincerely,*******************************

Per the ****** a debt collector has the right to communicate with a consumer between the hours of 8am to 9pm, local time to the consumers location. The area code for the phone number ************ which UGI had provided to us as contact phone number for you, is an East Coast area code. The address on the account is in the Eastern Standard Time zone. We dial Phone numbers according to the area code that they are in. We were not notified that the phone number was in a different time zone.
