  Case managers do not respond. If you have a question, need an update or just want your unrecoverable drives back - good luck! They do not respond.

  If I could give 0 Stars I would. Absolutely the worst experience I have had with a business such as this in the 20 years of my business. We own a wedding photography studio and unfortunately had an issue with one of our drives. We took the drive to a local partner of Salvage Data (we thought it was done there locally, but no it is sent out somewhere else). We were told we would have an assessment within 24-48 hrs that would give us insight into if and what would be recoverable. It was 2 weeks later before we heard anything it was only a quote that was ASTRONOMICAL. The quote we were given was 3X - 4X what we were quoted from other companies in the past. Upon speaking with our representative he offered a lower price solution that would result in a slightly slower turnaround. We were told 3 weeks. Fast forward 6-8 weeks later and it was finally finished and only a fraction of the data was recovered. We were then told we had to pay 2x the retail cost of the "cheap" drive they would be putting the recovered data on. We felt throughout this process we were being held hostage. Aside from all of this there is a MAJOR issue with communication. You are assigned a case manager, and if you think they are going to respond to your emails...think again! Avoid SavageData like the plague!!!

  Wes was awesome! My data was recovered within the promised timeframe and all details communicated up front. So psyched to have my family photos recovered and will definitely recommend SalvageData to others.

  SalvageData surpassed all of my expectations and was a safe and secure want to restore my data. I worked with Chris who kept in contact with me via Email, Text and Voice calls during the entire restorative process. Chris remained in contact with me even after the process was completed and assisted me during the final payment process. Awesome company and service!

  SalvageData recovered nearly two terabytes of lost and corrupted family archive files. These are photos, videos and recordings that I could never have replaced. Stephen was fantastic throughout. He walked me through the process and the fees, past some technical difficulties I encountered with the replacement drive, and was responsive to my questions and concerns. The culprit was a manufacturing issue with Western Digital external drive I was using. SalvageData's quote came in below that of the companies Western Digital listed on their support site. I highly recommend this company.

  I had a faulty thumb drive that they were able to recover. The process took a little longer than I expected but I am overall very happy with the results.

  I used Salvage Data to try to get some files back from a flash drive. They did state that they would be able to recover the files, and provided a file list for me to review. The files they provided once the list was approved were corrupted. When I asked for my money back they requested that I use team viewer to verify the location of the files. I am totally blind and use a screen reader and when the agent discovered this she stated that remote team viewer was no longer an option rather than offering a video conference where she or another engineer might assist me with clicking on the correct field. Failing to provide services in an accessible format is discrimination. I informed them of this, no response.
  I asked for a refund as I have had enough of slow service and misleading advertising.

  I made a huge mistake and had only one hard drive to keep all of my writing, video files and artwork, etc. on. It stopped working. No one else was able to recover the data. Salvage Data was able to restore about 500 GB of data.
  Chris M, the agent I worked with, was great. Very efficient.
  He sent me the files on a new ******* ****** 1TB drive. I had to pay for the drive.
  I hated that the recovery process cost so much, but it was my fault, and I needed this done.
  I immediately backed up my files on another ******* ****** 2TB drive that I bought for that purpose.
  I feel a lot better about my files now!
