The absolute worst customer service ever. I could sort of deal with the horrendous customer service but when I started getting notices that my taxes were not paid and penalty notices from the state that is where I draw the line. I called and tried to speak with someone. I got told two different things on different occasions. First was that the reports were submitted and that paycor would appeal on my behalf. Weeks later now I am being told that could take 2-3 months to handle. I explained I received another notice with a fine. They said I could handle it myself locally. I came to find out right now that they also didn't file my actual tax reporting and I am being fined 500.00 for that. I have to call the state department of revenue to handle this. I am paying them to do a job and apparently there is no one competent to do it. This is not one or two people. This is dozens of people I have spoke with. I actually got hung up on by one of the "customer service" reps and apparently they don't have supervisors. The tax people do have supervisors but it take 24-48 hours for a call back. Stay far far away from Paycor. I regret ever switching back. I lasted 4 months and going back to *******. Paycor is the absolute worst company I have ever dealt with and that is not an exaggeration.

What a joke. This company has the worst customer service and ethics I have ever seen. I closed my account however I apparently did it incorrectly. However when I originally signed up I was told by the sales person if I didnt run payroll I wouldnt be charged. I came to find out that since I stopped processing payroll with them in June 2023 I have been charged over 400 a month for nothing. I tried to call to get a refund and rectify the situation and I was promised a lot of empty promises of phone calls back. Most recently today I spoke with a woman ******* who stated since I threatened legal action her supervisor couldnt call me back and that their legal team would reach out. I asked for the legal teams number and they apparently dont have one. When I had their services I paid for a dedicated payroll specialist which I had for a month then she quit. After that I had nothing but on occasion belligerent reps and people from a different country. If they promise you dedicated payroll reps they are lying. I pray people will read this so that they know what a scam this company is. The best was because I didnt give 30 days notice they were going to give me an early termination fee. Its laughable so now I have to pay an additional month for services I am not receiving. I do hope their legal team calls. I am pretty certain the only way this company stays in business is with amazing sales people who dupe people into believing the lies they spew and then hold them hostage afterwards. Run away from Paycor. They are the absolute worst payroll company that is out there.

When their services worked, they worked. But as soon as there were any technical issues it was nearly impossible to get support on the phone. Im talking hours! We could no longer gather our payroll reports and could not get the issue resolved. We were forced to change companies so people could get paid and taxes could get filed. Then at the end of the year Paycor submitted incorrect filings to the government making our return correct. It took months of battling with them to try to receive credit for months of service that wasnt functional. They refused to provide reports after contract was terminated. Terrible company.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We sincerely apologize for the challenges you faced while using our services. Our primary goal is to ensure that our clients have a seamless experience, and we regret falling short of that expectation in your case.In relation to your request for reports post-contract termination, we understand the importance of these reports to businesses. We do provide these reports to former clients, but there's a nominal fee associated with this service. This is to cover the administrative costs involved in retrieving and processing this data securely. Offering reports without a charge post-contract isn't standard procedure, and we apologize for any confusion this may have caused. We value the time and trust you placed in our services and are committed to learning from our clients' experiences. If you wish to procure the reports or have any other concerns, please reach out, and we'd be happy to assist further.

I was unable to get the reports even when I was paying for services. I have recently attempted to gain access to these reports through email support as no one was willing to help me by phone. A fee was not mentioned. I was told I could be given temporary access at no charge yet I have been asked to jump through unreasonable hoops to gain access. Im attempting to gain access for my father whom I was business partners with until he retired and I took over the account. My father is unable to use email/text communication due to physical and mental limitations. I requested a phone call if you needed info directly from him. I am simply trying to put this to rest but find my self an ANOTHER battle with Paycor.

DO NOT USE!! I AM WARNING YOU.The list goes on and on, but here are a few.-Lack of communication when there is an issue. You get no direct communication with any "departments"-We were promised services (I have them in my email) and were not given them which got us behind on 401K deposits. -Reports were filed incorrectly and still have not been fixed and we are two quarters in. They proceed to blame it on us when I have emails proving otherwise.I wish the BBB would close them down or do an audit, because I can assure you the business is not being run correctly. I wish I could do more to get some of the money that we lost with them back, but I'm done dealing with this company. If I could give negative reviews I would. STAY AWAY!!!!

I was a previous customer of Paycor, which did my payroll for my restaurant for over 5 years until I finally lost the business in the Pandemic. For months, I've been hounding them for my last quarterly payroll reports for a filing by my accountant. Paycor has a new procedure for past customers. They won't answer the phone and you can only reach out to them with an email that starts with Deactivation. I did what was explained to me and they responded that a team member would be back in touch with me for a "quote," In other words they will charge me now for any reports that I need. So once you lose your business, they are no longer interested in providing customer support. I've sent more than 10 follow up emails and finally called the sales department. The sales department explained that the only way to reach them is to send to the Deactivation email which I've done about one dozen times. This is a serious problem and I discourange anyone from using the services of this company. They don't help customers who lost their business. They only want new customers.

I understand your frustration and the challenges you've faced, especially after such a long-standing partnership. However, there are certain protocols and costs associated with retrieving and processing past reports, especially after an account has been deactivated. That said, if you need the quarterly payroll reports, we did provide a quote for these services. We urge you to respond to that quote if you'd like to proceed. While we value our past relationship, we cannot provide these services for free, particularly when you are no longer an active client.I apologize for the inconvenience this may cause, and I hope we can find a resolution. Please let us know how you wish to proceed with the provided quote.

Inconsistent customer service. Seems like training and leadership are not strong. They certainly have invested a lot into their executives but apparently not on the foundation of the company, the forward facing customer service department. We have been a customer for many years. We use them for 5 businesses. Their communication is poor at best. Doesn't seem like there is a leadership structure in place to assist with issues. Yesterday, we did not receive our checks for one of our restaurants. I had to call in four times with no communication back nor any action taken. They really just didn't care. I suggested several alternatives but they only wanted me to handle the issue alone. They did not take any accountability for the issue or help problem solve the issue. Not too long ago they choose to use *** for their deliveries. I am sure they did that due to costs. All the while they charge us exorbitant fees with no real partnership. I do not recommend. Way too many companies out there trying to gain our business. As of right now, I have 26 people that will not be getting their well deserved checks and the money is already taken out of our account from ********************. We run restaurants and the majority of the people live pay check to paycheck. The rating here supports the service they provide.

Our experience with Paycor started strong but has been a worsening disaster since implementation. We had multiple issues with the time entry portal and identified a bug that the product team was unaware of. We were promised a "2-week sprint" solution in November 2022. Our issue was added to the bug board and despite working directly with the product team, it was never fixed. I have had multiple small issues as an HR manager and company administrator and in many cases, I submit cases that magically disappear. Our sales team was great and has even tried to help us navigate our issues. When we hit a wall, he and his boss have stepped in to push internally. When they do that, we get a new "client experience" rep who has no clue what is going on, so I have to re-explain everything that has happened only to then have the ball dropped again. Also, my salesperson told me with absolute certainty that all customer service was US-based. That seemed to be the case up until January 2023. We had catastrophic issues with our W-2s and we could not get representatives on the phone that could understand the issue. They declined to say where they were based but I am 100% sure they were not US-based. My salesperson had to be our advocate and it was very difficult to get anything fixed. We have given Paycor every opportunity to recover the relationship but customer service has been consistently poor. We will be looking for a new provider now. I would not recommend Paycor.

Customer Service might as well be nonexistent. Customer service agents just record a "case," and no one will reply. Paycor now tops ******* for the worst customer service in the US. We have nine companies set up and many open cases -- most over three months old. So frustrating. If you want to raise your blood pressure, sign up with Paycor.

We bought hardware from them(time clocks) and after we sent them back they did not refund our money for both of them, even though I was told that it would be deposited back into our account( I was specific about getting the cash back, not having a credit. The one they did refund us was applied as a credit after they assured me it would be deposited).
They updated their system in the last year or so, and I would stay away from them. It is not worth the energy anymore so this is my last straw to let them know that they kept $1,170 from us on hardware we sent back.

Thank you for your review and for bringing this to our attention. We value your feedback as it helps us to continually improve our service.
I’ve personally taken a look into the situation you've outlined. We deeply regret any miscommunication and the inconvenience you've experienced as a result. I can confirm that a credit has been agreed upon and has been applied to your next bill.
However, I understand from your message that you were expecting a direct deposit refund. I apologize for this misunderstanding and acknowledge your preference for a direct cash refund over a bill credit.
To address this in detail, I've created an escalation with our customer service team. They will be reaching out to you shortly to discuss this matter more thoroughly. We're dedicated to finding a resolution that meets your expectations.
We regret that our recent system update has caused you some dissatisfaction. We assure you that our main goal with system improvements is to better serve our customers, and we're sorry to hear that in your case, this hasn't been your experience.
I hope that we can turn this situation around and continue our relationship. Once again, thank you for your patience and understanding as we work to resolve this.
