I started receiving calls about a Check N Go debt.
I haven’t used these types of services for over 10 years. Now it showed up on my credit report.
It cannot be valid. I would like some help to see what exactly this is.

I think that this is completely unsatisfactory because of the length of time they are requesting.
This collection is on my credit report causing my credit score to decrease and making my history more derogatory.
They obviously had the means to initiate this collection, so I expect a more swift resolution.

I used Check N Go's services in March of 2022, I resolved my owed balance on April 4th of 2022. The local branch in ****** ****** did not apply the funds to my account, this caused Check N Go to send me to collections. I provided proof of paying my owed funds to both the local Check N Go Branch as well as their Coorperate Office, I am now being told that my settled debt was sent to a third party collection company in error and that they are attempting to collect a debt a second time and are refusing my proof of my account being Settle. Check N Go has yet to provide any solutions for the debt that has been settle that was sold to another party on 04/04/2023. I have attempted several times to provide proof of the settlement and they state I should hire an attorney to resolve it for me.Business Response

September 2022 I took out a $1,500 loan with check n go
Since it's now December of 2023 i called to check to see how many months the loan term is and how much i still have on the loan.
I was told I still have 1,000 to 1,300 to pay and 3 more months to go. But I was also told i have a 15 month loan contract, and now i'm being told there is no exact term end months Meaning the contract was not for 6 month 12 month ETC but it can go up to 24 months but nothing is in stone.
I told them usually when i take out a loan there's a certain amount of months the loan is for and I was told mines is a 15 month loan.
They said there is no specific contract term month end date that will be 6 months 15 months or so on.

understand that there is some confusion with the terms and conditions of her
loan, and appreciate the chance to provide a response.We completed an investigation into the matter and can confirm the Loan Agreement *** ******* signed disclosed an accurate payment schedule associated with her loan. Our Loan Agreements disclose the number of "installments" that will be required to pay off the loan, rather than disclosing the number of "months" the loan will remain open. The payment schedule disclosed on *** *******' Loan Agreement reflects 38 bi-weekly payments in the amount of 226.58. It advises those payments began on 10/14/2022 and also discloses a final payment of $226.09 which is tentatively set for 3/15/2024. If *** ******* continues to successfully make her installment payments on time (which she has) her loan will be closed out after the final payment is made on 3/15/2024. It is important to note that that if a payment is missed or returned by her bank, *** *******' loan will remain open past 3/15/2024 in order to recoup any returned installment payments and daily interest accrued as a result. We have attached a copy of her loan agreement for her to reference if needed.
*** ******* is more than welcome to pay off her loan early to save on additional daily interest. If she would like to request an updated payoff amount, we encourage her to contact our Customer Support team at ###-###-#### and one of our agents will be happy to assist her.

I received a call from a man who stated he was from MRS and was attempting to collect a debt for Check-N-Go. I have not used this company’s services and stated so.

This is maybe the third time that this has happened. I don't know why this company keeps reporting back that I have my Credit file frozen. I do not. When I call customer service to see why the site keeps denying me I was told first that my phone number was incorrect and my email had to match up just a lot of different stuff just to get me off the phone. I have sent in a copy of my drivers license to correct my last name that still hasn't been done. I don't understand the purpose of asking me for my drivers license, and the account was never going to be updated. Then I asked for a supervisor, because usually the supervisor can hit a few keys and fix the issue. Today the gentleman hung up the phone in my face Because I asked for a supervisor. Another one lied to me told me to wait 15 minutes and everything will be fine once my phone number updates. I don't understand what is the issue With my account why does it keep saying that my Credit file is locked and it's not. I wait at least 30 minutes after I unblock my credit then I apply then I lock it back. Maybe my name keeps getting hung up somewhere in the system. The customer service is nonexistent. No one knows anything and when they don't know they hang up the phone in customer faces. My credit is not blocked, so what could be wrong?Business Response

investigated *** ****** claims and have provided a detailed response on multiple occasions. Our records indicate *** **** has submitted twelve applications in the month of December alone, all of which were denied. Per the Statement of Credit Denial associated with each application, the applications are being denied because we are unable to verify *** ****** credit history due to a credit freeze in place on her consumer credit profile. We have attached the most recent Statement of Credit Denial to this response for reference.Within her complaint, *** **** references the process of unlocking and re-locking her credit freeze when submitting applications. We would recommend contacting the credit bureaus directly to discuss the proper procedures needed to submit a loan application in conjunction with a credit freeze. She can contact the bureaus using the information we provided on the Statement of Credit Denials she is receiving. Among many potential root causes, it is possible that *** ****** credit freeze needs to remain unlocked for a greater period of time before re-locking- in order to allow the application to be properly processed and evaluated by underwriting. The evaluation and underwriting of a credit application is not an automatic process and often requires more time to complete than the thirty minutes *** **** leaves her credit un-frozen.
We are more than happy to work with *** **** in an attempt to fix this issue, however our options are limited when there is a credit freeze in place on a customer's credit profile. While *** **** has provided screenshots showing her credit profile was unfrozen for a period of time, we have previously advised her account may need to remain unfrozen for a longer period of time in order to allow her applications to be processed and properly reviewed by our underwriting team. This review process can sometimes take a few days to complete. If *** **** reinstates the credit freeze on her account prior to the underwriting decision being made, the application will likely continue to be denied due to a credit freeze. We would encourage *** **** to discuss these concerns with the credit bureaus directly so they can help her determine an appropriate amount of time to wait before re-freezing her credit.*** **** advises she has requested for her name to be changed within her account, and states she has provided the appropriate documentation. Utah Chartered bank, located in Provo Utah, Member FDIC. We have reviewed the complaint and appreciate

an investigation into the matter, we can confirm that Ms. ******** obtained an
**** loan on 11/13/2021 in the amount of $1,000.00. According to the loan agreement she signed, her
loan contained an APR of ********** Finance Charges of $2,282.06 and a Total of
Payments amounting to $3,282.06. Her payment
schedule consisted of 17 monthly payments of $193.05 which began on 12/19/2021
and a final payment of $376.75.The first
two installment payments were successfully made; however, the third installment
payment was returned by Ms. ********** bank on 2/19/2022 for insufficient funds
and her account was never brought current.
Our records indicate the loan then defaulted and was sold to Huntington
Debt Holdings, LLC on 12/18/2022 with a balance of $1,772.96. Unfortunately, we would have no additional
information to offer as we are not the current owner of her debt and have not
contacted her since she requested we cease all contact with her on 3/11/2022.Although

They keep sending me stuff that says I’m pre-approved for a loan and says if I want to opt out call a number and when I call it asks for my social security number. I feel afraid to give this information and feel I shouldn’t have to. I want this to stop before someone else gets this letter and uses it and then I’m responsible for it.Business Response
