I took a loan from check n go and now they are trying to pursue legal action. I am a single mom with zero help and I just lost my job. I don't own a home or a car and am unable to resolve this issue and they are threatening legal action on me. I contacted the 3rd party that called me about it and they weren't any help. I am writing to file a complaint regarding my AXCSSFN/CNGO account (Account #: ******XX, Date Opened: 12/11/2019). There is incorrect information associated with this account that is negatively impacting my credit report.
I have made timely payments and followed all account guidelines, yet despite my efforts to resolve the issue directly with AXCSSFN/CNGO, the inaccuracies remain. This error is unfairly affecting my credit score, causing financial hardship.

*** called trying to collect on a pay day loan from 2018 that has been resolved for over 10 years. I worked for **** county court system and my car was broken into and my day planner was stolen that resulted in numerous fraud accounts being opened this being one of them. A police report was filed right after the issue in 2018. *** also contacted my exe of 30 years making thre*** to my exe this time. I have given this story to over four collection companies even giving them police report for the incident. This is not my debt or my loan I was told by transwest credit union to shut my account due to the fraud linked to it. They are stating they want to garnish my wages. I took out an installment loan from this business a year ago. Every paycheck they took 163 out. It was a 1375.00 loan. I made consistent payments though I will admit I had missed two this year. However, I paid them both off and got my account up to date. I called to verify this before my last payment and the employee I spoke to over the phone confirmed that I only had one payment left of 163.27. I check my account after paying that August 28th and it now says I owe the full balance of my loan and to call them. It called the hotline and it said I owed around $800 on the loan. It’s outside of business hours so I can’t get this resolved with an employee just yet but I’m making this complaint anyway because even with the two missed payments it would’ve been mathematically impossible for that much interest to accumulate on them before I caught them up. I’ve put it into multiple calculators and have crunched the numbers myself as well to make sure. I’ve seen online that many other people have experienced predatory business practices with this lender and I will be calling in the morning to get this resolved. If it does not get resolved I will be taking legal action.Business Response

We want to thank *** ********* ****** for contacting Check 'n Go regarding her past due account. We understand that there is some confusion with the terms and conditions of her loan. We completed an investigation into the matter and advise *** ******'s loan was taken on 9/15/2023 in the amount of $1375. The first 5 payments were made on time, but the 6th payment on 12/05/2023 was returned. Regular payments then continued for payments 7- 15. Payment 16 from 4/23/2024 was also returned. Payment 17 was then made on time. Payment 18 from 5/21/2024 was then returned. Payments 19-24 were made on time. On 8/22/2024 *** ****** did pay the 3 returned payments but when each payment was returned it accrued daily interest until paid. The full balance remaining on the loan is $848.48. This balance would need to be paid for the loan to be closed as paid in full.

Back in late 2016, I took a small loan and waiting for my accident settlement to come in to pay the load off. I paid it entirely off in 2017. Now, I just was contacted that Check n Go currier told me Check n Go is threatening me for non payment and they want me to pay them $3509.58 to settle. I was never contacted by anyone that I owed any money and I moved into a new home 3 years ago and still have never been contacted. I want this removed as I do not owe them anything!! I do not have any of the records as they were thrown away during my move as I did not think they would come back several years later trying to collect from me again. I need help!Business Response

I entered the business with intents to be approved for a loan. I've been diagnosed as legally blind, so my spouse ******* Filled out all pertinent information with all id's and income proof I was told that they don't accept chime, so I ripped up my application I'd traveled 8 blocks to the nearest location to hopefully get approved, I decided to look up information that states that chime isn't a qualifying bank .I was told that wasn't true. I have had to many issues like this to not complain. It's bad quality assurance. Previously, I've been treated unfairly by this same business on several occasions through the years. I got a loan through our loal check n go here in **** ******. I have gotten loans and paid them off and was in good standing. upon asking for the remaining loan amount recently after a portion had already been taken from my bank i was denied and not given a valid reason as to why i was unable to get the remaining portion of my loan which was capped at $2500. I had up to that point only got $1500 with the remaining balance being denied to me. Michelle the store manager of the check n go location here in Hays was confused and she wasnt even given a clear reason to my denial. I had then been directed to cooperate and spoke once to April N*******. Since i have had to file a complaint prior to this for misconduct and now dishonesty. This professional "April" has access to my bank information and all my personal information and has been dishonest i am very concerned about this and would like someone to look into this.Business Response
