For the last week I keep getting calls from ###-###-####. A lady calls and asks me to confirm my name. I asked where she was calling from and wouldn’t state where (which is illegal). I looked the number up and it’s to a check n go. I have never used their services, no desire them. I only get loans from my banking institution. I would kindly like for them to stop calling since I have no clue where they would have gotten my information, and I have never utilized their services. I don’t believe in high interest loans. When I ask to be removed from their list, the lady gets rude, I’m not sure what this is all about but needs to stop. Probably a scam. This happens daily now at different times in the day. Whatever they are selling, I’m not buying.Business Response

This company, Check N Go, has hired several scam debt collectors that are calling me several times a day on my landline phone number and my mobile phone number. They are trying to reach my mother. When I inform them that I am her daughter and that they are calling the wrong numbers, they still continue harassing me on the phone. One man named Michael, who claimed he was calling from a company called “******** ********”, even threatened me and was telling me all kinds of private information he knows about me, such as my social security number, the length of time I have been a court reporter, my driver’s license information, and other very personal and private information about me. He is obviously looking me up on the internet or getting my private information by some other means. Again, I am not even the person they are trying to reach and they have my mother’s mobile phone number, but they prefer to harass me, the daughter, on a daily basis, even saying derogatory things about me, et al. I know it is illegal to harass a debtor’s family members who have nothing to do with whatever debt it is. I have called two law offices today about this issue, so I would advise Check N Go to cease and desist from calling MY phone numbers — ###-###-#### and ###-###-####…!!!Business Response

I had a payment due on the 10th of February and I still haven't received my paycheck yet and I just so happen to check my account and I see that there was a payment withdrawn out of my account without my consent because I did not sign up for auto withdrawal or auto pay. I contacted the feedback hotline, and they told me to reach out to the store I reached out to the store, and they told me to reach out to the feedback hotline. I do not appreciate them going into my account to begin with knowingly that I never miss a payment and I don't appreciate the fact that I am getting bounced around without a resolution. I would like for that to be refunded back to my account and the autopay removed from that account because I can make my payments on my own. Ever since I opened this loan it has been nothing but bad customer service and headaches.Business Response

When I asked her to stop she started to shove the papers in an very nasty way. Once she put my information in and determined that she was not going to give me service , which was fine she stated your loan was decline. I was fine with that and I asked her to return my personal info she stated NO, Im keeping . I asked again nice, and she said No. The lady and I did not hit it off, my personal info was left in her hands . Bank Acct, address, job, phone, I am very fearful of this lady doing harm to me. My husband was trying to get his credit started. He we to these people to take out a small loan. This company promised him this would help build his credit up. So he got a $1,500 dollar loan. It was a 20 month loan to be paid back at $151.00 dollars every two weeks. In December 2022 he was told that it was completely paid off. Then at the end of January 2023 he received a letter in the mail stating that he still owed $1,000 dollars. He has called this place over and over again just to be rudely told by their employees he still owes more money!! We’ve tried to get a contact number for a home office over these people, but they say there’s not one. Then they say here’s a feedback number for you to call. We’ve called that 5 different times thinking a person higher up might call us back. Well this morning February 7, 2023 my husband received an email from this business home office with a number to call (FINALLY)! My husband (politely) called to talk to them about this nightmare of a situation. Only to deal with rude employees (once again) telling him that he owes $1,500 hundred dollars again!! Doesn’t matter how he explained that was wrong, the proof he tried to provide to show them, or even just explaining everything to this company. They just refuse to listen to what’s said, refuse to receive any kind of documentation to show it’s been paid, and refuse to let anyone speak to a person who could actually do something about the amount that’s wrong! Someone in there company has messed up majorly!! Not sure if their employee done this on purpose trying to make money for themselves, or they hired somebody who can’t add/subtract on a computer!! All I know is something is going on to triple a customer’s loan with no remorse for hurting anyone!! Someone needs to get to the bottom of this situation cause we’re not paying another dime to this money laundering company!! Obviously we can’t get anything from them no matter what we do! Check N Go needs to be shutdown completely!!Business Response

The store manager didnt tell me they would be pulling a hard credit inquiry, i take this seriously. He had made mistakes on tax form by having someone else be sure i made the money, i made. Its great to got the extra spending. But, mr. ronald also tried to cut me off on the phone. You need to be honest and able to work in this industry, i will be fighting this inquiry! Regards, Your employee needs to take responsibility and admit they were wrong. They didnt even know where the number line was for the income. I will know from here and out when i refinance a loan, i will have my credit pulled. I just received a call from check n go again and this lady said that I owed them money even though I paid a settlement amount to them and she threatened me and was very rude to me and called me a lier about the loan. I told that I had two incomes at the time I took this loan andi also brought up the fact I came into check n go in 2021 to refinance the loan and they told me I was a day to late to refinance this loan. Then I was making payments to them what I could afford and then they kept calling me and harassing me. And they took money out of my checking account without me knowing about it. Then I finally called them and made a settlement with them and after that they told me the settlement was not paid in time. And I told that all I could give them. Then today it started all over again. I'm not putting up with these living people.Business Response

I received a threatening letter from a Check N Go or should I say their attorneys at Fidelity Group claiming fraud on my part from a 2015 instillation loan with threats of a lawsuit and civil complaint. The letter I received was dated January 2023. I previously disputed this claim that the debt was satisfied and was sent a letter from the credit bureau that after an investigation they could not validate their claim and erased it from my bureau.
The file # is ********* with an amount of 4,070.72. The address on the letter states
Fidelity Group 700 E. Main St #********** ******** , VA ****** I am disabled and on social security with no assets. This scare tactic is stressful and also past the statue of limitations of four years for collection.
