      Had the absolute worst experience ever with their company. Almost every payroll has an issue. The customer service is where the issue lies. There is no follow up, no real concern when you are having problems etc. I ended my service agreement with them and went to ***….STILL HAVENT GOTTWN ANY W2s and although I spoke to someone last week and asked for a follow up phone call as she had no definitive answers to give me…..still no communication

      Zero stars! The first problem was that they registered me as self-employed and not as an S-Corp. I don’t think their sales rep asked me the right questions. As a new customer I was offered no support around taxes or regulatory authorities. When I switched employees from 1099s to W-2s, there was no guidance about this transition. Payroll representatives cycled through regularly. They were hard to reach. No institutional knowledge about my business. Responses from reps were inconsistent, even with payroll. I was sold their HR Pro plan. I was assigned to one of their HR specialist do-nothings. She met with me once, sent me a packet and then disappeared. A corporate bobblehead tried to orient me to their timekeeping system which we never implemented. Then, registering on tax pay was a problem. I was on their tax pay services and still accumulated interest and penalties. I spent the last year trying to add an out-of-state tax to my account and it never happened, so I had to pay directly, myself. Don’t bother sending tax notices to “PAC”, their dedicated tax team, they will always find a way to tell you it’s your fault and your responsibility to correct it. I finally fired Paychex in 2024. There is a $1500.00 fee to transfer your retirement, I agreed to rid myself of this awful company, but they repeatedly debited the fee from my personal checking account … which was only provided to them for personal retirement contributions. I finally resorted to blocking them from my bank. In review, they have been debiting business fees from my personal checking for the last year, no advance warning. This organization is terrible, not reliable, not supportive of small business. Last year a customer service rep was assigned to me to resolve challenges. We started off strong, then she quit and encouraged me to do the same. Oh. I forgot! One time I sent payroll in, and they paid the wrong person! They did not seem to care. DO NOT sign up for their services!

      Paychex is horrible company. STAY AWAY FROM them! Late filing, wrong tax rate always deducting money from your account. NO customer service. Horrible horrible company.

      Paychex took over the payroll services for my employer in 2024. For the 1st 3 paychecks of the year they withheld money from my paycheck to transfer to my HSA. The transfer never took place. I've worked through my HR department and we keep getting told it has been resolved but it has not. I tried calling customer service directly and was told a supervisor would call me back as soon as they got out of their meeting, another lie because that never happened.

      Our small family business was offered a flat $33/month service all inclusive by their sales rep. At the end of the year we were charged a surprise over $100 for W2 and year end reports processing. Talking to our rep led to no resolution. Talking to the manager resulted in one time credit only. The following year in 2023 they started charging $85/month until we noticed and contacted them. The new rep. (they always change) promised to look into it; in trying to follow up the answer was "I applied for an adjustment", but after several attempts to follow up she just stopped answering, no credit was issued. Eventually we quit them and received a call from their "retention specialist" who could not help with the past charges, but offered future discounts. They keep trying to process ACH payments 2 months after quitting, good we notified our bank to ignore the attempts. What a mess, would never expect this from a US based company.

      I have filed a complaint with the state attorney general's office asking for a criminal investigation for multiple unauthorized debits from our bank account. This company has been one of the worst companies of any kind I have ever dealt with. They ought to be closed down.

      I received a W2 from this company. I never worked for them. Obviously they gave someone my social security number so they could work for someone. Fraud!!

      Besides their customer service representatives being patient and respectful through our absolute mess, i'd give them 0 stars. After finding out that a different company had payments being applied to our business account with the IRS, i came to find out that Paychex had mistyped 1 number in their clients EIN and was incorrectly applying payments to the IRS. We had $$$$ of dollars to our business and this poor gal's money was missing from hers. Now we are THOUSANDS of dollars in debt to the IRS due to our account sitting in a FALSE fully paid status for over a year. All due to the 1 number mixup. Why this took so long to be fixed after it being brought to their attention is beyond me. It is very sad that i had to hear about this company from this horrible and stressful experience yet no apologies or "we will make it right" has been offered or given. Horrible company to manage your money.

      The company we've dealt with for payroll services has been the most challenging to work with. We're planning to switch as soon as we can, despite being with Paychex for less than 6 months. Our primary issue revolves around difficulties in reaching our assigned specialist. Each time we call, we end up leaving a voicemail, and unfortunately, they don't respond promptly. Moreover, there's a sense of rudeness, as if I should already know the answers to my questions, making the overall experience less than satisfactory.

      Stay far away from this company. They overcharge, Underpromise and when you cancel they continue to take money and you have to fight to get only half back. Please read the reviews here and take extreme caution.
