      I have been working with PAYCHEX to do a reduction of wages for salary optimization for a company I work with. In order to do this, we used paychecks as a service since we were using them for payroll, and we asked them to reduce shareholder wages. The furthest email I could track back was dated December 20 as when we requested this work to be done. It is now May 12 and the work is still not done during this process. we had to work one on one directly reviewing work at every step of this journey every step we've had to correct their work. We have been in zoom meetings and endless endless, endless emails and endless wasted time going over their incorrect work. Nobody takes responsibility for anything that they do nobody acknowledges that they don't review any of their work and again no apologies. We have clearly directed them to do everything through corrections and they can't even manage our corrections. We have to correct corrections of our corrections. That is absolutely ridiculous. Please never work with this company and if you are working with them, you should leave. It's not worth the time and effort and energy. They are an incompetent company who do not know what they're doing. They rely entirely on software have no working papers or tie outs and Who do not review their work or look at anything that they do and nor do they care they pass blame and do not have ownership of anything that they do. It's always someone else's fault , they also have agents who are not knowledgeable enough to help us otherwise they would have asked for help from their own team nor us, we have done every correction for them in this process because their work was wrong, all of their work since day one has been wrong, stay away from paychecks.

      I am no longer with paychex, which I clearly noted back in January 2024. I am still being billed by Paychex with automatic withdrawals from my bank account. This is unacceptable, as are the many problems I have had with Paychex from the start.
      I never was able to reach my "account manager." Every employee I spoke to gave me a different answer to the same question.
      They didn't pay my payroll taxes to which I received a Seizure letter from the IRS. I have to pay the penalties and interest because no one in Paychex will respond.
      I have been a small business owner for 35 years and NEVER had the IRS send me a seizure letter. I am overly diligent with paying my taxes on time.
      It is impossible, and I mean impossible to cancel services with them. I have to now open a new bank account, close my old account which I held for 15 years that I have the account number memorized, so that Paychex doesn't have access to my money. They are predators.
      DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY ACCESS TO YOUR BANK ACCOUNT. If you must use them, first off, I'm sorry and second, have anyone else within your company sign your check or disperse the funds. You don't know these people and they are predators.

      I wish I had had the where with all to investigate this terrible operation before I invested funds into a 401K after a recommendation my trusted CPA gave me! Wow...I implore you. Do NOT even consider sending your payroll or retirement funds to these people. It shocks and amazes me they are a national presence for these services and are still in operation. ZERO ranking is more accurate than a one star. I could go on and on and on...I won't bore you. I've been self employed and in business for forty years and never have I come across a nationally recognized brand with such poor operations, customer service and value for dollar. RIP OFF is a more accurate way to describe these losers. Run for the hills the opposite direction from any business with the word Paychex in it.

      ZERO! ABSOLUTELY THE WORST CUSTOMERS SERVICE! I had taken hardship loan. I started the process on March 7th. I waited 10 days.Nothing. I called.they said 'what process"?
      I didn't recieve docusign. It got lost ,sorry. I called back hold for 20 minutes. It's now March 26. She stated the check will be mailed to you. I asked why can't I have it direct deposit? you need to send a check. You deposit my paycheck & 401K. I had a Stroke,I can't drive it was" It's our policy. I stated you have my info. The check will be there April 4th! April 4th,NO CHECKS! I have no money,I'm not working.I called again we just mailed them they will be there 4/10 ! April 10th comes I'm now way Overdrafted in my account.No checks! So I call again. Another excuse well it can take 10 business days.You can void them.I did. I asked when my checks will be here ? They stated we have to void those checks that takes 20 days. Again I tell them I'm way overdrafted because you told 4 different dates. I'm tired of being lied to. She said she will have them overnight them. I said ok what's the tracking number I don't have that information but soon. I hang up I call back again sit on hold for 45 minutes! I get a wonderful woman named Josephine who is actually helpful. She stated the way the last person who wrote the email you wouldnt get it for another 20 days. Now I'm really pissed but Josephine fixed the issue she said next week.It's April 15.3 days USPS shows up I lost them. I deposit the checks. I call Paychex, Don't send new checks!Don't void them! She stated ok I emailed that department it "WON'T HAPPEN" 2 days later I'm shopping and my card is declined. So I walk of shame happens. PC voids the checks! Overdrafted 5,000! I call PC."SUPERVISOR NOW! I Want my money in my account you overdrafted me. Sorry no Supervisors work after 1? She states I have a tracking number. I asked what it was since I NEVER had it.They refused direct deposit.bank is reluctant to deposit. 26 April I begged my bank deposit.

      If you’re an employer my advice is to look elsewhere for a payroll provider.
      They are without question devoid of good business practices and simply made a mess of my company’s payroll by not filing with my state to pay unemployment.
      Try getting in touch with anyone by email or any other form of communication as you will find yourself getting NO RESPONSE WHATSOEVER.
      They simply dont care and even closing my accounts is a deliberate attempt to slow the process to a halt.
      Paychex’s inability to even answer a customer’s calls is appalling.
      Try any other payroll company and stay away from Paychex likes it’s the newest form of Covid.

      I'd give them zero stars if possible. The support from them has always been lacking but the last 4 - 6 months it's become absolutely horrible. The customer service from the assigned payroll specialist and anyone else who answers the phone is non-existent. They ignore emails and don't answer the question or address the issues when they do reply. When pushed they get flippant. If you have an issue and they tell you that they will check into the problem and call you back, expect to be waiting for a call back 4-6 weeks later after following up multiple times. I could continue.

      Quite possibly the worst employee customer service I have ever come across. I was using the live chat on the website and the live employees just log out when they feel like it. They ask if "you have any other questions" then log out as soon as they send this message. Three times I had to go through the automated system to get to a live person because they kept logging me out before helping me or even attempting to. Also, I would state my issue and they would say they understand and then proceed to ask me for information I just stated was my issue. If I could give them a negative or zero star I would. They haven't resolved my issue and have logged me out again. I barely got in a sentence worth of concern in before being logged out each time.

      It would appear the rating does not match the reviews, nor the service.
      The company replies to every complaint, but the complaints do not all show as resolved, nor do they appear resolved.
      We are leaving paychex due to the lack of communication and commitment to service.
      They have severly declined in the last 5 years. Between overcharged taxes,no communication from the insurance / brokerage side, investing 401Ks without authorization, and mis-taxing employees, we've had quite enough, and cannot urge you more to pick a different company.

      Paychex decided that they weren't going to Direct Deposit my employees this pay period. I had to write all my payroll checks 3 days late!
      When looking for answers as to why this happened.. I have received.. a number that was just a busy signal. A new number that nobody answers. When I finally got through, I was told they couldn't answer my question and I had to talk to someone else. I then waited 45 mins on hold and finally gave up. THIS WAS UNFAIR TO MY EMPLOYEES! I WILL NEVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN!

      HORRIBLE company. My 401k rollover check was lost, no one got back to me for weeks, their customer service is a JOKE, if I could sue them I would.
      They also messed up paychecks and taxation and resulted in everyone OWING taxes. I am hoping there is legal action taken against them.
