      This company is a joke. The first time they did our payroll, they somehow managed to enter the wrong account number for 2 of the 3 employees. The mistake was corrected within 2 days. Second week doing our payroll, everything was correct. Then, the third week before we had even submitted any info for them, they widthdrew the exact amount of their first mistake.
      Too many mistakes, and especially in such a short period of time. Our rep tried to fix the problem but the people in the financial department were no help.
      She is currently working with our bank manager to correct the mistake. And in the meantime we are missing over $3000 that no one at Paychex seems to be able to find or even knows why it was taken out on our account. Atleast the bank has offered to cover all overdraft fees, late charges and any other fees that may come up. Even though it's not their responsibility or obligation to do this.
      They get one star because they did get one paycheck right.

      My company was referred to Paychex by my financial institution. We were starting out with no HR department, so we outsourced the payroll department to Paychex to ease our 1st years of getting a foothold into the business world. Upon our 1st sign-up we were encountering problems off the start. 1st they could file our state code, 2nd they weren't filing out unemployment taxes at all, 3rd we were signed up for Paychex forgiveness and they never honored that. Next we encountered about our W2 and W3s and was told we had to pay for them. When we did we waited months never received them and was told the reason is we dropped them, no they dropped us. We had to pay $2700 to get back in program. We till this day never received our W2s and W3s so we can finish our corporate taxes.

      I wish I could rate them lower. The only positive thing about using Paychex is that I could provide 401k for my employees. I had to do almost everything myself, including setting up accounts with federal & state agencies. When mistakes were made or when I needed forms, it was very difficult to speak with the correct department. In 2 years, they changed my representative 4 times. My account is now closed with them, and the government agencies are still contacting me to inform me of missing or incorrect forms from 2022.

      I rarely ever give 1 star, but with Paychex I would give even less. They have no idea how to do payroll and even if you state what you need done, it will never get done. I highly recommend anyone looking for a payroll specialist to find another company because their only specialty is not listening, communicating and not doing what you ask them to do. If you do hire this company, be prepared to contact them every week regarding the incorrect payroll. Also, be prepared to have constant phone calls from your employees advising something is wrong with their paycheck.

      This has got to be the worst company. They will not cancel my service when requested and keep charging me and won't refund the charges. Will need to take them to court.

      The only thing that Paychex trains their employees on, is how to deflect from solving any problems. They will give you the run around for months and at the end, they will tell you, we can't help you. In the meantime, you have wasted hours of time, money and stress trying to solve your issues. If I do not get my money back from paying Cobra for months because they have decided to cancel my Cobra account, I will be seeking legal counsel. If anyone in Texas has similar issues of Paychex holding on money that belongs to your company, let me know. They do not deserve one star. This company is shameful!!

      Paychex is by far the worst payroll company out there. The customer service lacks and I don’t think they actually train their employees.

      This company may have the worst customer service of any payroll provider I've ever dealt with.
      The CSRs are circular in their arguments; when they don't want to help you, you're better off hanging up and waiting on hold again because you will NOT get accomplished what you needed to accomplish. I was told "I do not have a supervisor" by one CSR. Can you imagine? I'm pretty easy-going, until I'm lied to.
      Tax issues galore, failure to file forms, excuse after excuse... we're done. We've moved on to another company, and will NEVER return to Paychex. BUYER BEWARE!!!
