I purchased a month to month plan that was advertised for $19.99 starting the month of the transaction fate which was 8/5/23. I wasn't able to watch the fight because the bufferring and error issues due to their poor media quality, which was the reason I purchased the plan, I read the terms and conditions and canceled my service plan with DAZN and was expecting a refund because I canceled within the 30 days of subscription. I received an email from DAZN customer service/ support and was told I wouldn't receive a refund because they said I purchased an annual plan therefore, my bank card will e charged on a monthly basis for the next year, but wouldn't have access to my account due to me canceling. The only contact information on their website is an email address. The phone number listed on the BBB for DAZN is a non working number, so there isn't a way to speak with anyone. I will stop payment on this charge, and possibly take legal action against this bogus company.Customer Answer

On August 5th, 2023 I payed for a pay per view boxing match through the company DAZN. When paying for the content, there were added on subscriptions that were .99 cents additional charge and reading the descriptions were not clear to the terms. The intention what to buy the content and not a subscription. The additional charged was less than $1 so I proceeded. After I had been charged, I contacted customer service because I had been over charged. It was then that the agent pointed out I had actually been tricked into a 1 year subscription that I did not want. I contacted their customer service chat several times and they refused to withdrawal the subscription or reverse my contract. I have uploaded the subscription plans and you can see that they are very vague. I have also uploaded one of my chats where you can see that the system refuses to move forward with cancellation. I have uploaded another chat with a representative that refused to put me in touch with management and claimed they were actually management, then refusing to provide me proof that they were telling the truth. This company is employing dark and vague tactics to trick unsuspecting customers into a locked in annual subscription. Search on the internet will show that there are numerous cases of people being tricked by the company.Initial Complaint

I was previously subscribed to *************************** I went through a lot of difficulty with their customer service I cancelled the auto-renew function. (you can see these emails in the attachment. I was told that the auto renew had been cancelled. *** Gamepass got a new provider called Dazn who took my billing information from them and charged me $279.99 AUD ($196.10 US) on August 2023. I sent an email to Dazn customer service on 8/2/23 to try to get a refund but still have not heard back. I attempted to talk to their customer service through their chat feature on the website but after waiting for an hour to talk to someone I was told that they needed to transfer me to someone from their *** team. They then told me that nobody from that team was available and just to try again in an hour.Initial Complaint

On the 2nd of August, via PayPal I was charged 188,99 by DAZN.I did not receive any communication that this would happen and am getting no response from the company. I found out there are thousands of people having this issue, same story and none getting a refund or even a response from the company so far.For your convenience : ****************************************** If you are seeking further evidence I am certain these thousands of people would be happy to provide any documents they have.People are all having their accounts charged out of nowhere without any prior communication. This is a scam.The most important thing is people getting their refunds as this involves huge amounts of money getting charged from people. Only to then be left without any line of communication to the company.Not only that, this company should face charges (I am looking into filing a criminal case if this is not resolved). And the company should be banned from doing anything like this in the future to protect the general consumer.I am hopeful we can reach a satifying conclusion soon. I got DAZN service back in 5/7/23 to watch the Canelo fight, in his web they said it the service could be cancel at any time. I had done that once before in 2022 to watch another Canelo fight with no problem. This time I cancel DAZN next day of 5/8/2023 and they confirm the cancelation by email. I notice that they been charging $19 every month for the last two months 6/7/23 and 7/7/23. I contact them by chat, that is the only way to get in contact with them, the lady said I was in a year contract. I never use their service and the website says my account is cancel. I asked for a supervisor and the lady said she's the supervisor. There is no way to remove my credit card and no way to resolved this. Company is taking advantage of the customers and been dishonest about there way of doing business. I'll never watch another fight or use this company anymore. I am writing to file a formal complaint against ****, a service from which I purchased the Gervonta vs. ****** fight PPV on Saturday, April 22, 2023. Unfortunately, my experience with the company has been marked by both financial discrepancies and technical failures.Below is a detailed account of the issues I faced:1. Service Failure: On the night of the purchased event, I encountered persistent issues with the **** website that prevented me from viewing the match. I diligently followed the troubleshooting suggestions provided by ****, including refreshing the page after 10 minutes and performing additional recommended steps. Despite my efforts, the problem persisted, and I was unable to watch the match. My watch log can verify my inability to access the content I paid for.2. Billing Discrepancy: At the time of checkout, the expected total cost was presented as $84.99 for just the fight. However, subsequently, **** has been charging me $24.99 monthly for the last 3 months totaling fraudulent charges of $159.96.3. Refund Request and Communication Breakdown: I opened a refund request (Case ID: ********* on April 23, 2023, and requested **** to close my account. Despite repeated attempts to communicate over the past 3+ months, I have not received the refund.I believe ****'s actions to be fraudulent as they overcharged me and failed to provide the paid service.I implore the Better Business Bureau to take swift action in investigating ****s practices and to assist me in obtaining a full refund of $159.96. Your intervention would mean the rectification of a grievous wrong and relief from months of stress and frustration.Thank you for considering my serious complaint. This company has a history of continuing to charge members even after cancellation of a monthly subscription. In my most recent case (this is the 2nd time this happened), I cancelled my subscription on July 8, 2023, but was rebilled for the monthly fee of ***** on July 20, 2023.Please note: I have the cancellation email from Dazn.com, which I've added as an attachment.In addition, this company has a policy of providing, and billing, customers for an additional 30 days after cancellation. This means they will charge a pro-rated amount based on how many days are left in your subscription. In my case, I was charged ***** on July 8 (this is in addition to the July 20 charge noted in in the first paragraph) that gave me access to August 8, even though I did not request that.So I would like the BBB to investigate if the above is a legal business practice.Customer Answer

At this time, I have not been contacted by DAZN Group Ltd. regarding complaint ID ********.Please let me know what further steps the BBB will take, as my research shows there are many people who experienced a monthly subscription charge after cancellation. There is also the issue of this company "rolling over" one month after a user cancels regardless of how much time is left in the their current subscription (which also results in an additional charge).

In May 2023 I paid for a fight then I cancel DAZN subscription but I'm still being charged when I was not supposed to. They owe me $44!
