1 starThis is an awful setup under the name of Mental Health.. This "assistance" will only add debt & billing to any issues you may be looking for help with. Looking to assist anyone in a Mental health crisis, DO NOT Refer !!! *** Initial call was made 6/*, 1st available appointment 6/**. Cost is ***** per session, so the credit card gets hit on 6/* for ******!! No services have been provided (on what planet do you pay for sessions in advance). The next billing scheduled was for ******, again nothing had been provided.. This is abuse of Mental Illness, *** has been notified This does not rate 1 star, but review will not be posted without.Talkspace

1 starThe prey on people needing help. Their charges and insurance is not clear. They make it look like you will get free unlimited sessions and then you get hit with the charges. Their customer service is backed up. They won't refund. They won't acknowledge that their tactics are misleading and someone needs to be done about this!Talkspace

They did not provide a good resolution and did not refund me for the misleading information they provided. I would have used my *** and had free visits if they did not tell me my insurance would cover with unlimited visits. I even had an introduction visit with a therapist who told me the same thing! This is a horrible way to operate by giving false information and charging people for services they could have had for free.Review fromAirIN H

1 starDont waste your *** benefits on TalkSpace. I asked repeatedly to not be matched to a religious/spiritual/higher power based therapist. Yet, that was all support matched me to.Honestly, if a mental health company cant FULLY understand how traumatizing religion can be for some people (6 years of *************** for me) then Im wondering what they are even doing pretending to help people?Please hire therapists with a better understanding of what unconditional positive regard actually is.Talkspace

1 starIf I could give 0 stars I would. This site fraudulently charged me a cancelation fee for an appointment I attended with the Psychiatrist, went through the whole session and even had session notes. They charged me **************************************************************** behind on my bills, which can be devastating in this economy. They refused to give me responses in a timely manner and believe that only having an email address as their only means of contacting customer services is efficient. They wrongfully stole money from me and I will not be silenced. I will be getting my money back one way or another, but I will NEVER give this company my business again and will make sure EVERYONE knows what kind of company they are dealing with before they sign up for Talkspace services.Talkspace

It looks like one of our teammates reached out to you on 04/**/2023 and refunded that charge back to you.

I ended up having an issue with my connection and no notification was sent to me from the cite with the exception of an email that I had no access to. I immediately emailed the support team explaining the situation after the missed appointment and received No response from business Promised that I would pay $0 for therapy sessions because they took my insurance.Even if I did miss the appointment Ive contacted the company multiple times and no one has gotten back to me super unprofessional and i see why they have horrible reviews. This company is terrible doesnt care to provide good client experience and I need someone to get back to me they are ridiculously overpriced and my insurance covers them. 1 starI was scammed by Talkspace. The therapist told me my copay was $0 and my insurance would cover 100% of my sessions. I was skeptical but went along with it. The app also showed $0 for sessions and I was pleasantly surprised. Nowhere it said I would need to pay more unless I didn't show up or failed to cancel 24 hours ahead. Also, the app asked for all my insurance information upfront even before I met my therapist. A month later I was billed for the two sessions I'd had. I simply received an email from talk space saying my card would charged $250 and it sure did charge me on that same day! Thankfully I hadn't scheduled the next appointment due to availability but now that I know it's a scam, I will not return. Hoping others don't get scammed, too.Talkspace

1 starIf you are seriously considering doing business with Talkspace, do yourself a favor and read this and the other feedback that others have left. The negative commens about Talkspace's customer service are, based on my own experience, absolutely true. Talkspace's customer service is probably the worst that I have ever encountered. Due to an administrative error, Talkspace charged my credit card for 2 therapy sessions, that should have gone thru my insurance (and would have been paid 100%). Now, they refuse to correct the billing. They ignore my emails. What's more, they refuse to speak with me about it. It's practically impossible to reach anyone at customer service (live) at the company. There is no real-time support. As a consequence, I've had to file a dispute with my credit card company. I've also had to discontinue my therapy with Talkspace. I would recommend that anyone needing such services look elsewhere.Talkspace

1 starPredatory and misleading billing practices. They received my insurance information when I applied for services and said it covered everything with no co-pay. I participated in 2 sessions 2 weeks apart, and immediately after the 2nd session, Talkspace said insurance didn't cover anything and charged my credit card $250. Why did they initially say insurance covered everything? Why didn't they run insurance after the first session -- because then I never would have signed up for a second session? It seems the initial cost of services was intentionally misleading.Talkspace

1 starOne of the worst business experiences I've ever had. I tried for 8 weeks to get their useless support team to give me an itemized copy of my superbill for submission to ***. I would get an email response asking for dates, I'd provide this same information over and over and get told it was being sent to "billing" and then never hear anything. One of their support reps was very rude to me and said "stop putting in tickets, it's not helping you!!" As of today, I have 5 tickets submitted and no resolution. The fact they cannot complete a task as simple as providing a superbill of what you paid out of pocket, even though they advertise they do this is misleading behavior. The quality of care was garbage, I had one therapist who never spoke during our session except at the end where her sage advice to me was to go post a *** ***. Another therapist didn't bother to show up and then was rude to me when I messaged her about it. Switching providers is a joke, I requested a female therapist and kept being continually matched to a male provider. Or you'd be matched with someone after you requested video meetings and be told, "oh sorry, it's the app, I only do text therapy." The ** on the site is terrible you are forced to review providers you aren't even able to see due to scheduling challenges. I had one woman tell me she only sees clients at 7 am or 8 pm. Overall a crappy experience. The providers often bemoan the poor site experience, never a good sign when your assigned provider is complaining about the app you are using.Talkspace
