I received a voicemail over the last couple of days from this company. I did not rerurn the call because I have never heard of this company. I also know for a fact I jave not had any loans taken out in over 10 years (which were paid off. The statue of limitations have expired and I have paid off all previous loans. I am a hard working federal employee and will be contacting the state's Attorney General's office. Reading these reviews it not only seems they contact people on old debts which they will not likely remember or keep good records but as for me I have been a Human Resource Specialist for over 20 years on the federal government and this is no way to conduct business. You NARG should be ashamed of yourselves and your tactics. I just pray your resume never reaches my desk one day. Poor customer service from what I am reading. I’ve received several phone calls from this company NARG and never knew what it was about, so I never called back. Today I received a message that they were calling regarding a bounced check for dollar general. I called them back and informed them that I’ve never written a check to dollar general and only use my debit card. When I asked to see a copy of the check they hung up on me. I called back and told them I wanted the amount and then they accused me of being rude and hung up on me. I called back and told them that this must be a scam because I’ve never written a check to dollar general, and if it was indeed regarding that, then they would have a copy of the check. Then some rude guy got on the phone and told me that they weren’t going to litigate with me over the phone. I finally, after several phone calls, got a phone number for the company, Certegy, whom they claimed sent them my information. Certegy is the company that approves checks at various stores. Certegy informed me that they had nothing for me in my name, which I already knew. I don’t know if NARG is a scam, if they have the wrong person or what, but they spoke to me like I was some criminal off the street and that I was in the wrong and being rude when I requested proof of their claim, which I am entitled to by law. They need to be put out of business ASAP. I’ve also filed a complaint with the Consumer Protection Agency. Next is the states Attorney Generals Office.Business Response

Contacted multiple times a day with what can be determined as threats of payment wasn’t made, company has continuously contacted family members I no longer have contact with and feel it is a violation of my privacy to concern other individuals at different numbers that are in no way connected to myself. I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. I am dissatisfied at the false claims of this company not reaching out as I have multiple voicemails and have just received an email as of this morning to make a payment on a loan I never even took out. I am not confused as to the company name as it is stated in the voicemails and email I received this morning.

My family is being harassed by this company and telling them debt details that are not their issue. I contacted someone and they wouldn't listen to what I had to say yelled at me and wouldn't provide any proof and telling about a debt from 2019 which beyond the statue of limitations, please stop contacting my family and send the information I asked for which they told me they will not do.Business Response

To whom it may concern, This consumer, ****** ********, wrote a check from her ** **** account ending in ******** on 06/28/2019 ( statue of limitations in NYS is 6 years.) This check was written to ****** **** ******** in the amount of $1,237.15. That check was returned by the bank as INSUFFICENT FUNDS. ****** **** ******** uses ******* ***** ********* so in the event that the checks do not clear, the store is insured. You now owe National Action Resolutions Group, as we are in ownership of the debt now owed. A validation notice was sent numerous times to the address on the check, as well as today, during the FIRST and ONLY contact with this individual. A relative contact may have been called to obtain a good number for the debtor, however, no personal information was ever divulged. The balance is due. See attached.Initial Complaint

I had been trying to pay off my debt from ** ****, has been paying 25$ a month, but than lost my job so I couldn't pay that for a while. But I am able to pay that now, just not able to pay more at the moment due to everything being so expensive. But I wanted to pay this debt off. Michelle had tried multiple times to call me, left voicemails, than called my mom which I had already asked them nicely not to do months ago. I kept telling Michelle I can't do more than 25$ a month, basically the only option was a settlement which I couldnt pay in full. today Michelle tells me ok you can't pay, so she's sending my file to court and good luck to me. I found this threatening and not right in my.opinion especially because I did want to try and start paying the debt off. I felt like she was bullying me and tryo g to make me pay but I couldn't. This isn't right. Other debt collectors are helpful and will work with you, not Michelle at NARG. I do not want to be contacted by them again. NARG isn't a fair debt collection agency. Unfortunately, most of this is untrue. Besides the fact that the consumer has been attempting to pay $25.00 a month since April, only clearing ONE payment. These alleged scare tactics are not used or tolerated in this office. I have heard multiple of the conversations between this consumer and her representative throughout her placement here, none of which ended in a resolution, rather the consumer refusing to setup any agreeable payments. We are not here to force anyone into doing anything, She was given multiple settlement and payment options, all of which were refused. Keep in mind, a settlement offer is a courtesy, not a requirement. This consumer took out a loan with ************ on 6/29/2021. This loan was in the amount $500.00 and deposited into your ********** ******** **** account. This consumer has also logged in to and had access to this account "information on our portal. Not one time has this consumer "been threatened with prison," that is absurd. This consumer can verify their debt with the original creditor, ************ at ************. Unfortunately, when a debtor is evasive and we do not have a verified phone number for them, we are allowed to make relative contacts. You could have simply called back. See attached validation notice that has been view by the consumer multiple times. I received an email from National Action Resolution Group LLC on 9/7/2023 indicating I had a returned check written to ***** for $1,193.08 and provided no validating information.
I have never spent more than $100 at ***** in my life (if even that much), and furthermore, I have never used checks as a form of payment before either. This is clearly a scam.Business Response

We did try to verify the consumers information at which point you said that the social security number on file was not yours, so the call was ended.
