I dont usually buy extended warranty. In a world of disposable and unrepairable consumer products it is inevitable that something will break during the useful life of a product. In many cases there is no "manufacturer" to turn to since a product was bought through a "reseller" or the manufacturer is too small to have warranty processing. I think in these cases this type of third party warranty is a good backup (technically its more like an insurance). However be sure to read the contract and realize this usually not a full product replacement. In my case the settlement price on my contract was less than the purchase price but this is to be expected. Most extended warranties assume you used the product for its fully warrantied life and then it broke. But you got x number of years of useful life and you need to consider the depreciated value. Like if you total your 15 year old car, insurance will not buy you a current year replacement, but give you the current value of the old car. In this case the offer I got allowed me to buy a new product at a discount. The process was fairly smooth. The company called me to follow up on completing the settlement. So I give 5 stars for this interaction.

Terrible service. I believe they are a legalized scam. They gave me $492 for a $3500 double oven. I paid them $20 a month for 5 years. I paid $150 service fee for someone to come out and lie and say it couldn't be repaired. I easily found the component for $597.00 from Kitchen Aid. CYA refused to repair my oven. I should have saved my $20 a month and I could've repaired my oven myself. Which we have to do now anyway. Plus they were impossible to get a hold of and SUPER rude once I finally was able to contact them. Overall this was a terrible experience and I hope they get shut down.

I had a very tricky claim due to a mix up in serial numbers but *********************** was very diligent in resolving the issue and getting it figured out. It is unfortunate that we live in an age where appliances do not last as they once did, thus making it necessary to have extended warranties. Many thanks to **** for her attention and patience to this matter as well. She was pleasant, encouraging and professional. I have already had to use CYA for the washer, the refrigerator, the dishwasher (for the second time) and just this week I filed for the microwave. Can't imagine what all these service calls would have equaled. For all of these service call thus far, the technicians were top notch.Again, thanks to ****** and *** for your help and professionalism!

****** was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. Even though it was necessary to cancel the warranty (product that I ordered was never received), ****** handled my call with professionalism and courtesy. My refund was acknowledged via email almost immediately.Kudos to your company and the people, like ******, that make it such a pleasure to do business with!

Have insurance for phones. They refuse to repair the phones because they say the damage exceeds the value of the phones. Offered me $100 for each 1Phone 11. Not going to find these phones at that price anywhere! So basically, you think you have your phone insured for the market value, but you don't. Waste of money

STAY AWAY!!! Please look at all the other negative reviews before buying from this company. I work in insurance claims for an insurance agency and it is important to read the policies before you bind coverage. This warranty I purchased for a $2500 ***** was for Accidental damage coverage. The initial salesperson, ****, ensured that if my child accidentally damaged my TV with a remote or such thing that I would be covered. I wanted to review the policy and he would not provide a sample policy it but ensured this was covered. If that was the a case, I agreed there could be some value in the warranty.I then spent $350 and when I received the policy "documents" a week later (with no terms defined) the last bullet point of what "Accidental Coverage does not cover" is "Products that fall within the Major Appliance, Fitness Equipment, and TV Categories are EXCLUDED from Accidental Coverage. This does not make any sense. This company engages in deceptive trade practices and I would not trust the word of one of their salespeople. When I called and spoke with "Claims Manager" ******, he could not even provide one example of what would be covered under my warranty. This is a MAJOR RED FLAG as if I was selling you an insurance policy, life insurance policy or a warranty, I would be able to list out a dozen examples of claims I see and what is or is not covered. I would try to educate you as a customer as to what you are purchasing. This company does not care about you or belongings, they just want to deceive you out of your dollar with false promises of coverage. If you are contacting them, I would recommend recording your phone calls as the appear based in ******** and ******** appears to be a one party consent state for recording phone calls.

I echo the voices that have responded with negative reviews. Very personable people on the phone. BUT, they do very little, to nothing to process claims. We had them for a Miele dishwasher. We had one claim that with it that was a minor issue and they got a repair person out within two days (no deductible). I was happy. So, when the policy was up for renewal, I gladly renewed. Well, the dishwasher started making a grinding sound so I called to start a claim. Easy to file it, but then it was 2 days with no follow-up, so I called again. I immediately was sent a text with a link to "take next steps with the claim." I linked, and they wanted a $125 deductible to continue processing. OK, I paid that and I was told it would be 24 to 48 hours and I would receive an email with a service provider to schedule my service. NO WAY. A week later, no email or contact. I have called every day and they tell me they are trying to fine a service provider in my area that will work with them. I contacted ***** and they could have an authorized repair person out in 24hours. When I told CYA I did not understand their problem finding a service provider, it became clear to me that they either were not processing the claim, OR, they are trying to find a repair person that would do the work for very little pay (and the 2rd or 3 rate providers are not willing to accept what CYA will pay).Note, they told me I could go ahead and get the work done by ***** or whomever I wanted and submit the bills to them for POSSIBLE REIMBURSEMENT (pending approval). I could sense after a short discussion, they were going to reject paying anything if I took this approach.Bottom-line, going on 2 weeks without a dishwasher, CYA still no service, and I am going to have to get it done myself and just pay for it. Don't waste your money with this company.

I am not one to take the time to write a negative review, but this company was so dishonest, and provided the worst customer service experience I have ever received. I was with their sister company ************************* for over 6 years and had a wonderful experience so when a sales rep contacted me to renew a warranty with ***, I trusted them. I completed the warranty transaction over the phone and was told it would be the same coverage I have previously had. When I went to file 2 claims I specifically asked the lady on the phone if I owed anything up front to which she said no. I then find out through email that my warranty was renewed through CYA, not *** and that they require a 150-175$ deductible up front for any claim filed before they will even send someone out. This was not the salesperson told me and not what I previously had. To further confuse the situation, the same day I received a call from the service company to schedule maintenance on one of the appliances stating that my warranty was with *** and I owed no deductible!Long story short, this was escalated to a supervisor who told me they would review the phone calls to verify what I was being told. That never happened. Instead, I called to cancel my automatic renewal for next year in which they cancelled my current claims and told me that the deductibles and CYA warranty was what I paid for. The salesman 100% misinformed me to get a sale, there were multiple mistakes through customer service on their end and ultimately me- the paying customer was the one who was inconvenienced. Please do not waste your time or money on this horrific company.

Great experience with ****** she really did right by me with this situation. I was very much happy with the results and would definitely sign up again with CYA.
