    This company has deceptive business practices.
    I took advantage of a $60 off offer with Cook Unity. The food was decent (not great, especially for the price) and under "credits and promotions, my account still showed a $60 off promotion with 38 more days until it expired, so I ordered again. I asked their bot how to confirm that a promotion would be applied, and it told me that the promotion would be applied automatically on my next confirmed order, and referred me back to the page showing the promotion. Once the order went through, I could see that the promotion was not applied. I sent a message to the company asking for it to be applied, and this is what I got back...
    "Upon checking, the promotion was available for your first order only. Even if the promotion says it is available, the time shown until it expires means the time you have to use it. However, it can be applied to one order only; it does not mean the discount will be applied to any order placed within that time. Since it has already been used, it is not meant to be applied to any other order you place."
    So, even though their bot told me it would be applied, and they admit that "the promotion says it's available," they will not honor it. I emailed back to say this is that an incredibly problematic business practice to show a discount in a way that makes it appear as if it is available, not give the customer a chance to see if it has been applied until after the offer has been placed, and then not respond to questions about the discount until the order is arriving/cannot be canceled. I asked if they would apply it to this one order, since I had no way of knowing about this very odd practice they have. They will not apply the promotion for me (but did give me a much smaller discount on the order).
    This is an extremely deceptive business practice and terrible customer service response. Stay away from them!

    Good food - most of it expires within 1-2 days of receiving and they wont give you a refund. **************** is very responsive except when it comes to expired meals - they ignore my complaints. Its also frustrating that you receive your order on Monday afternoon/evening and have less than 48 hours to decide on your meals for the following week - if you dont place your order they just send you a random selection with no possibility for a refund or cancellation.

    Was not a good experience. We didn't like meals and cancelled service. Last week I saw an $112.50 charge on my bank account. Tried to log on after I found they have NO contact number. Every time I tried to log on they said you have no account. Sent several Emails telling them it was cancelled and they said you must of just delayed it. No! Looked again for contact # and again came up with we have no phone connected to our company. Now I have another $112.50 charge pending on my charge card. I finally was able to find my account and re cancel. Each correspondence I had told them I wanted to cancel but was ignored.

    Cook unity has the worse customer service on the planet. Please save yourself the stress and aggravation of trying to chat with the dumb system because it doesnt help.

    ZERO customer service. I was charged for an add on but it was never delivered. I have been trying to reach the company for a week. No phone number, no chat with a CSR, just an AI bot and an email request form that never gets answered. My next step is filing a claim with the BBB to get a refund. Stay away from this company that literally has NO WAY for you to contact them. As if that isn't the biggest red flag in *********** was good, not worth the hassle, account cancelled.

    This company has horrible customer service. No one has returned my request for account assistance or to have delivery/charges frozen. Today (11/18/2024), not only cant I get in and change anything on my account they appear to be having some website issues. How convenient when its charge day. I was able to with contact ****** to cancel the subscription for me. This is horrible!!!The food was good (2 star) but Cookunity business/customer service cant trust them at all.

    I order food on October 25 2024. And I still haven't received the meals which was 8 meals or a refund as of 11/6/***** im out of $70 some ans still have no food. I email them. They stated their working on my order. Well it's going on 2 weeks that was my grocery money. So I'm still here without the meals or the money. Don't use this company it will take your money with nothing in return.

    I cancelled my subscription as the cost was way too high for the quality I was receiving. Once I cancelled, I received an offer from their 'CEO' that I could get 40% off my next 4 orders. I said what the ****, I'll give it another shot. What a mistake. I received 40% off the next order but then was charged full price for the next one. I contacted their customer support and have been going back and forth with them constantly for them to basically say it's my fault because I didn't cancel my order before the 12pm Friday cutoff. So It's MY fault that they failed to uphold the terms of their own promotion? 90+ dollars later and I'm taking this as a learning experience. I will NEVER give another cent to this company and have reported them to the *** for deceptive sales tactics. The food isn't that good anyways. DO NOT give them a single cent or you will receive an endless number of form letters with them basically telling 'you too bad, it's not their problem.' I hope more people read this and realize what a crooked, deceptive company this is full of bait and switch tactics to keep you hooked on their line. ***** on this company.

    I created an account a year ago and tried the service, but the quality of the food was so bad that we cancelled after 2 weeks. Then last week I merely logged into the old account to see if the menu options have changed (and maybe the quality has improved). NO ORDER WAS PLACED. A few days later I received a charge on my ****** account. I disputed the charge and the response I got from Cook Unity states that they will not refund my account since "It appears that when you accessed your old account, the system automatically processed an order..."There is more to the story, for example: 1) I emailed them days before the order was to be prepared giving them plenty of time to cancel; and 2) they claimed to have emailed me to confirm the order but "the email didnt reach your inbox because our messages were marked as spam."That is insane, and the very definition of bad faith and poor business practices.I am now pursuing a refund from my credit card company. My guess is that Cook Unity makes a significant amount of money from people who do not pursue refunds.
