1 starThey are scammers. On August 17, 2023 one sales(name ************************* ID# ****) came to our complex to knock door to door promoting their service. He said they will provide the electricity supply with variable price and the price will be always lower than PSE&G price. A couple neighbors signed the contract. I checked my bill recently and found out for the first month their price was slightly cheaper than PSE&G and for second month their price was almost double of PSE&G one. I called them the custom service said they only give first month cheaper price. After that the price will be variable and could be any price.Spring Power & Gas

We have shared these concerns with our sales managers for an immediate assessment. The Spring Power & Gas enrollment procedures are primarily designed to safeguard our customers. Each customer enrollment undergoes thorough verification by an independent third-party to confirm the terms of enrollment. Customers are required to agree to key service points to initiate the enrollment process. Additionally, customers have the option to review the welcome packet provided at the time of enrollment and can choose to cancel within the specified rescission period. We value your feedback and invite you to share more about your experience. Please feel free to reach out to us at ************** during our operating hours (Mondays to Fridays, 9 am to 6 pm) and ask to speak with a supervisor. 1 starObviously they were on the look out for people who just got home. The second I got home a ***************** who speaks ************************************ about this company. I can only understand the word peco, he went on and on and eventually led me to a site where I need to sign. Mind you, wont even let me read what turns out to be a contract. He eventually got ****** coz I told him I need to read the contract first before signing anything. He then said go ahead and read it all and do whatever you want. Red flags through and through. If this is really a legit company- why arent they properly training their team on proper sales talk? Not like catch people off guard, talk like a robot and hesistant if customer wants to the read the contract.Spring Power & Gas

We can appreciate how enrolling with an energy supplier such as Spring Power & Gas can be overwhelming. At Spring Power & Gas, we place a high priority on consumer protection. Our third-party verification process allows consumers to confirm key points of service including rate, cancellation and other important disclosures. The same process also provides customers with a rescission period just in case they have changed their mind about our supply service. A copy of the terms of service and other disclosures is also provided at the time of enrollment. We are happy to discuss your experience further, please dont hesitate to call our customer service team at **************, mention this review and ask to speak with a supervisor.Review fromJoan R

1 star****** talking guy came to my door and told me what he was talking about would not affect my current gas & electric supplier. Yes, I was dumb and fell for it. Tried calling and emailing to cancel with no response. Now I'm still trying to get rid of them and back to my original supplies. Don't fall for these scammers like I did.Spring Power & Gas

1 starSame as the below reviews. Represented themselves as a subsidiary of PECO. Said that they were now handling PECO's rates, and all payments would still be made through PECO. Even told me that this is how PECO was operating now (using a 3rd party to confirm rates), and said if I did not make the changes now, they would just be coming back in a few weeks to get the changes done (because I asked "what if I wasn't here", since it was Black Friday). They caught me off-guard (had just woken up to them knocking on my door). The fact that they were soliciting in my apartment building (when my complex has a strict "no soliciting" policy) is what gave me a false sense of legitimacy. I ended up signing the contract (but could not get the "confirm" button to work on my phone, so the representative actually had me fill out all the information on his phone/tablet, and then he clicked confirm, potentially voids the contract). After he left, I read the full contract, chased down the representative still in the building, and told him I wanted to cancel. He asked why, and I told him it was due to the rates changing after the first month. He clicked 2 things on his tablet (I could not see, because he was in another person's doorway), and told me I would get a call in 24 hours to confirm my cancellation. Continued to read the contract, and saw I could cancel within 3 business days by phone or by a letter in their contract. Called Friday at about 1 PM local time. They told me they cancelled, but wouldn't sent a confirmation of cancellation for another ***** hours. Here I sit 24 hours later, and now confirmation. Now have to call back AGAIN, and hope I can get it cancelled. And, I still have to deal with calling PECO on Monday to make sure nothing triggered in this company's bull that cancelled my PECO service. All in all, not a scam, but definitely shady business practice, and shocking that they have an A+ rating form the BBB.Review fromJames S

1 starMy experience with Spring Power and Gas echos the Customer Reviews listed on the ********************** pages. The Sales Techniques, or however else the company describes the 'training' it is giving to its Canvassing Agents is unethical at best, more appropriately falling into the category of fraudulent. My question is, after seeing almost a years worth of negative comments, how is this problem allowed to continue? Who has responsibilty to protect consumers such as *****, ****, ************************, **** .... and ***. Step up please. Do your oversight job.Spring Power & Gas

1 starIntroduced themselves as the power company targeting college students as soon as they move in to cause as much confusion as possible. They then said a bunch of nothing and somehow got me to sign up. It was only then later I realized I had been scammed by these guys. Extremely disrespectful, would not leave me alone as they said it was important (I was in the middle of a online class so I needed to leave) which only added to the confusion. Terrible company- I dont know how theyre not shut downSpring Power & Gas

1 starMy wife was home while I was out and told me you guys basically said you were with JCP&L and that you wanted to help lower the electric bill. I dont know how you got her to show you a electric bill and also how you could ask her to do a voice verification when she isnt even on the lease or is the main stakeholder of the residential JCP&L account. Your company illegally got a hold of my information and I have reported you to the police. I gave out descriptions of your door to door rip off artists and if it goes any further Ill most likely take legal action.Spring Power & Gas

We are sorry to hear that your experience has not been a pleasant one. As a matter of policy, all Spring sales teams are required to wear an ID badge that clearly identifies them as representatives of Spring Power & Gas. For a sale to be accepted a recorded Third-Party Verification (***) call must be completed where a customer must accept the terms of service while authorizing a switch to Spring Power & Gas. This is designed mainly to protect the customer and to verify key points of service. This call also confirms that the consumer understands and accepts the terms of enrollment. We appreciate your feedback and have forwarded these concerns to the sales managers. 1 starOn July the 21st, a young male came knocking on my door requesting to update my electricity rates for ****** He said he was sent to update the electricity rates for this building on behalve of ****** I'm thinking this is a ***** employee as he had a badge and stated so. I let him inside my apartment and he took a look at my electricity bill. Once he entered that information into his iPad, he changed his tone and told me that he worked for Spring Power and Gas, which is a subsidiary of Exelon, the parent ******* of ****** Once I realized he was attempting a scam by having me sign a contract, I told him to leave my place and that I would not sign anything. He proceeded to request a change of my electric supplier to ***** anyways. To my surprise, ***** did not bothered to look for any signed contract or verify that I was indeed seeking for this change. They changed it anyways on July 21st. I contacted ***** via email and they adviced me to call Spring Power to avoid any early termination fee. I called ***** and during a 57 minutes talk, I was able to have ***** drop this supplier and replace it with ***** alone. This after repeatedly telling me that they couldn't do so. I don't know why ***** enrolled me in a service I did not requested, or consented to. I don't know how much they will charge me for the time this ******* supplied my electricity, but I will contest it, becuase I did not asked for their service. I was scammed and probably forged my signature.Review fromTaylor N
