1 starA representative came to my door pretending to be an associate of PSE&G. He asked to see my account saying they could lower my bill. At the end of the conversation he mentioned quickly that they were with Spring Power and that set off red flags. I googled the company and canceled immediately. They were very deceptive in communications and I would advise not doing business with themSpring Power & Gas

We are sorry to hear that your experience has not been a pleasant one. As a matter of policy, all Spring sales teams are required to wear an ID badge that clearly identifies them as representatives of Spring Power & Gas. For a sale to be accepted a recorded Third-Party Verification (***) call must be completed where a customer must accept key points of service, including that Spring Power & GAS offers a variably priced product with no guaranteed savings. This is designed mainly to protect the customer and to verify key points of service. This call also confirms that the consumer understands and accepts the terms of enrollment. We appreciate your feedback and have forwarded these concerns to the sales managers. If there are any further concerns, please feel free to contact our customer service team at ************** Mondays to Fridays 9 am to 6 pm, and ask to speak with a supervisor.Review fromChad M

We are sorry to hear about your experience. As a matter of policy, all Spring sales teams are required to wear an ID badge that clearly identifies them as representatives of Spring Power & Gas. Other Spring branded apparel includes company-branded jackets, hats, and polo shirts. For transparency, all customer enrollments must be verified by an independent verification team (***), during this process an enrollment will be automatically rejected if a customer does not agree, is unsure, or decides to change their mind. The *** process reconfirms all key points of service including a statement about no affiliation with the utility. At the point of sale, a welcome pack that includes all the terms of service, and a cancellation policy is either emailed or sent via SMS to the customer, and another printed copy is mailed to the customers address on file. Customers are also provided with a rescission period allowing them to further review the enrollment documentation and cancel it without any penalties. To further assist with reviewing your concerns, we would like to hear more about your experience. Please feel free to call us at ************** (Mondays to Fridays, 9 am to 6 pm) and ask to speak with a supervisor.Review fromBen B

1 starMy review is very similar to most of the others. I had a rep knock on my door two days ago and tell me they were with my local power company and that i hadn't responded to their messages about switching. She said PPL was no longer going to provide service to my address. She asked to see my bill and put my info in her tablet. I kept questioning her as this did not sound legit and i am somewhat familiar with this scam. She had me sign something on her tablet and speak to someone else on the phone while she was next to me. She never identified herself as a sales person for Spring Power & Gas. I only found out the company name after they sent me a text message. Included in the text was a notification that this would be for a variable rate even though she said it would remain a fixed rate. I kept asking her questions and she kept making it sound like this was all mandatory. I eventually told her that i don't want to make any changes whatsoever unless i absolutely have to and she told me she would cancel the change. I don't know if she did so i called her company as soon as she left to verify and they said they would cancel. I never got any confirmation that they canceled. I am very disappointed with myself and upset with this predatory and shady behavior by this company and I am seriously thinking about contacting the AG's Office as this cant be legal. I just hope no one else fell for this clear scam.Spring Power & Gas

1 starThey send out scammers who canvass neighborhoods and telling everyone who opens the door that they were sent by BG&E to do some nebulous ******** and that they need to see the back of your bill. Thankfully I ******d them without providing them what they wanted. *** at the door was super pushy and a gleeful liar. Bad company, which is probably why they don't have ****** reviews.Spring Power & Gas

1 starOur story is the same. Young lady shows up at our door and was with an electric supplier and asked to see our current electric bill. She showed my wife that she could beat our current rate. When I asked what the term was she stated 36 months. I showed up and asked to see the contract and it had a lower rate for 1 month and then a variable rate. She assured me it was for 36 months at a rate below my current rate. I told her we were not interested because of the variable clause. My concern is she has all my info and may submit it without my authorization.Spring Power & Gas

1 starExactly what other people have said. They represent themselves as "the electric company" i.e. PECO and are not. They also claim that the rate is fixed, but it's a monthly variable rate.Spring Power & Gas

1 starTotal frauds. Came to my apartment with no visible permit for soliciting, which is required in my town. Claimed they were from my current provider and wanted access to my apartment to look at my appliances (a total lie, they were from Spring Power and Gas once investigated by the police in the next complex to mine). The person tried to shove their way into my apartment and the door was promptly slammed in his face. Despicable sales tactics, fraudulent utilities claims, no permits, harassment. You deserve 0 stars, not 1 like BBB is forcing me to give you. If you want a community to change it's power supplier, then go to the source and stop harassing me and my neighbors. I hope you go out of business so your employees can learn valuable sales tactics and not resort to harassment. Make the world a cleaner place like it says on your website, fools.Spring Power & Gas

1 star******** from Spring Power and Gas came to my apartment door and stated she was a representative of PP&L, which was an outright lie. She said she was there to collect verification for PP&L that my rates for electric and gas rates had gone up. She was using a personal cell phone that she claimed was a business phone, and said that it was acting slow and asked me to show her my bill on my phone. She took down my information several times and began to sign me up for a contract, saying she was sending the information to PP&L. She had me sign a box to verify that she had passed along the information that my rates had changed, and then said that I would be charged $0.09 per kWh, which is far less than I'm paying now -- even though she already claimed my rates would be going up. PP&L asks customers to report energy supllier scammers and I will be doing just that when they're open tomorrow. If they can't remedy this situation, by which I mean nullify the contract, I will be filing a claim here with the Better Business Bureau immediately. Spring Power and Gas is not a reputable company at all and they hire scammers who use outright lies and deceptive/evasive wording to trick people into signing their contracts.Review fromAnastasia P

5 starsA spring power and gas agent came to my house a few months back and told me that they was there to update my service. At first I was confused because I didnt know we could pick our own supplier. At first I thought it was just another scam but I really wanted to save money so I listened to the agent. After he told me no cancellation fees I gave it a try. After the second billing cycle I saw a difference in my bill. I just wanted to say thank you to the agent that helped me.
