1 starThere's not one positive review here, and it's for a reason. Like others, I can't get the docs directly through my HOA, so paid the HomeWise fee and waited for delivery on the promised date. I got nothing. I called the phone number, was promised a follow-up e-mail on the status. I got nothing. My buyers and I have waited over a week for the docs, and HomeWise is holding up my sale. Others have called it a scam, and it is. I've notified the appropriate people in my HOA about this. NO ONE should use HomeWIse.Review fromBrianna C

1 starWhat this company does should be illegal! HOA's and management companies BEWARE!!! Find out what this company is EXTORTING from the future homeowners in your communities before you allow ************ to steal from them!!! Do they tell you that it costs HUNDREDS of dollars when they sell you on their scam??? I feel HORRIBLE that I have to pass these ridiculous fees on to my clients. The HOME INSPECTOR and APPRAISER who drive out to the property and spend hours crawling around with a flashlight, camera, and tape measure, on a ladder checking every nook and cranny, inside and out, to make sure the home is safe and sound for the buyer to live in don't charge as much as ************ charges in most cases! And for what?!?!?!? They process a credit card (and charge a $10 "convenience fee" to do that, by the way) to provide items that YOU provided to THEM. Absolute robbery! My next stop? 1 starIn ************ certificate charges are capped at $375. Their website is not transparent and will not allow the selection of the minimum required documents. Your only option is to select a package including charges for documents that, as a home owner, I am entitled to anyway. When I called to get clarification, the *** said they cant change Homewise website, thus the negligence falls on me for charges like double dipping of $54 for doc prep, then an additional $75 to rush it for closing in a week, and a base charge of $475 for the resale certificate plus other docs that are ON THEIR WEBSITE.Review fromAndrew T

1 starAll association documents for my *** are available for download for free on the community website. I requested that NO third party entity be ordered to obtain, courier, send, organize, etc. any documents. However, I'm still being charged a fee substantiated by a HomeWiseDocs.com order that I never saw, never approved and was never notified about. There is nothing in the *** bylaws or organizational documents indicating a third party would be utilized, and the ************* and *** PMC are washing their hands of it. ************ must do a better job of ensuring either Buyer or Seller approval is obtained for these charges as they are the ultimate payer. Incurring charges ordered by those not authorized on the part of the client is unethical at best.Review fromThomas P

I don't know why management companies deal with ************. They sit on documents which, for the most part, were created decades ago, yet they charge a rush fee of $50 for a 10-day turn-around, and $100 for a 5 day turn-around. The only updated information comes from the management company via the resale certificate, which states the current fees, if the account is current, and if there are any issues with the property. There really shouldn't be fee for the package in general anymore. It made some sense when they were actually providing printed copies and had to cover the paper and ink, but nowadays it is all sent out by electronic delivery. So you pay $250 for the package, plus another $27 delivery fee, plus the rush fee. And probably most people do a rush order, because they are under contract for their property and want to remove the document review contingency. What an unethical way to make money by taking advantage of homeowners!HomeWiseDocs.com

We appreciate your knowledge of the industry, and customer service is a priority at HomeWise, for both homeowners and management companies alike so we'd like to give you a little more insight to our process. All documents, offered bundles, and pricing on the HomeWise platform is set by the Management Companies, after a comprehensive market analysis, and within the statutory guidelines of each state. HomeWise collects these fees on behalf of the companies and retains only a small transactional fee from each order. HomeWise is merely the intermediary between the management company and escrow, to courier the requested documentation in the most timely and efficient manner. ************ absolutely cares about every customer and does everything possible to meet the needs of all customers in a friendly, efficient and thorough manner.Review fromDeborah W

1 starI sincerely hope that people research the company before using them. The pricing is so far above the average for the same service. I am trying to get a that ******** questionnaire that I already paid $486.00 to rush and they will not release it for two more days (EVEN THOUGHT IT IS COMPLETED)unless I pay an additional $125.00. As a Realtor I would never recommend using ************ for anything.*** WReview fromROBERT W

1 starI downloaded most of the condo docs, but was missing an RR105C. I went to their chat. The rep said they didn't know what that form was and they didn't have it. So they don't know what documents they are supposed to have. An agent here showed me how she received it from HomeWise. So I went back in to get it. A snafu with user name and pw. I click 'Forgot Password' No email came. I went back and went to their chat again where their representative said it can take 24 HOURS to receive an email giving me the ability to reset my pw. Absolute terrible service. I am going to recommend to our MLS and the condo association I was looking for to pull their business from HomeWise.Review fromLisa G

1 starI would give 0 stars if i could. I have not owned the home that I was forced to use this compnay for in over 4 years. i went on their website to request my account be deleted as my password had be compromised and I have not been on this website since I bought the house, that I have now sold, about 10 years ago. They are unable to delete my account without the original date of creation. Who keeps an email for confirmation of account creation for 10 years!?!? They are holding onto my personal information for no reason since they say the do not sell it. I just want my information removed from their website and servers. This account has been innactive for years, why do they need to keep it active?Review fromErica H

1 starHow is it possible that this company has an A+ rating?!?!? I paid $235 for a letter showing I paid my HOA fees for this last month (something I can get for free on the management website and show the funds coming out of my bank account). I paid for RUSH delivery more than a week ago so that it would arrive by 3am tonight. It is 3:23am now...my closing is Monday. IT DID NOT ARRIVE. I am REQUIRED to go through them...even though I have all the proof that I paid. This is the only thing that has been holding up the closing. It is absolutely appalling that this company is allowed to charge what they charge and not have any repercussions when they don't deliver. AND they are costing me time, money and sleepless nights. Oh, and there is no way to contact them after business hours. HORRIBLE. I'd leave zero stars if it was possible.
