      If we could post a zero star review we would, we accidentally put our personal key in the return box due to Budget not being open when our flight was due to take off and the rep at the counter refused to help us making us leave our key behind. We have been trying for a week to get our key back with more than 10 phone calls to the customer service line and no one will help us. My car has been sitting in the return airport because it is our only key, this is forcing me to have me car towed home for more than 150.00 pay an additional 80.00 in parking charges and 220.00 for a new key. To top this off budget charged us a 70.00 late fee when we dropped the car off 3 hours early. We requested a refund and that hasn't happened either. I feel like this is now a criminal matter.

      On February 26th 2023 I rented a car for circus circus in Las Vegas Nevada and return the vehicle on February 27th 2023 to Herry read international airport this was the term of my rental agreement (1 day) A total amount I was to be charged from my rental not counting deposit was $174. Yet on March 2nd I was charged $757.13! I contacted Avis customer service and the representative I spoke to confirmed the discrepancy and agreed that I was to be refunded $584. When I checked my account this morning to see if the refund had come through I did not see the refund but I did see an additional charge from Avis in the amount of $383.42! Making the grand total but I'm being charged $1, 140.55. this is $966.55 that I am being overcharged!! I am incredibly unsatisfied with my Avis experience this is not how a trusted rental company should operate. when the $757.13 charge game to my account, I did not understand the original excessive charge but was temporarily satisfied when the customer service representative I spoke to confirmed the discretion and agreed to refund me. So it is now absurd that I'm being overcharged a second time in additional $383.42.

      TERRIBLE SERVICE at **** ******** Beach Blvd. Jason the manager outright lied to me. I had a 5-day rental at $44 per day and called to say I will be returning the car 2 days early. I called Jason directly and I called the corporate number and they confirmed I would get a 2-day refund. I DID NOT. They said it was a weekly rental which it was not - I have IN WRITING what I reserved. They charge me $300 for 3 days instead of the $44 dollar rate. I already posted YELP reviews and I am going to post on EVERY social site to NEVER use Avis on VB Blvd or Jason the manager there. HIGHWAY robbery. Also filing an official BBB complaint at the local office. Thank heaven I have a great attorney here in Virginia Beach. I feel for all the other people they take advantage of.

      Back in the beginning of February we canceled a reservation that was made by accident. We have have been trying to get our refund for over a month . They charged pur account $550.41 and we never even rented a car from them. I have tried calling for the past month only to have representative be very rude to me and other keep putting me off on when the refund would be credited back to my account. This is fraud and I will make sure not only will we never use Avis again but anyone we know will not either . I will be filing a complaint with the BBB as well.

      Horrible customer service. Definitely won’t be back. I used National for years. My first experience with Avis. Couldn’t possibly be any worse. After waiting in line and dealing with a rude CSR I was given a car. When I went to get it it had no keys. Had to back and wait in line again. Got another car which reeked of cigarettes and marijuana. I’m done with Avis

      Upon arriving in St. Louis Airport (STL) we went to the Avis Rental Car location to pickup our vehicle. We checked in and when we walked out to our vehicle the car was not what we told it would be. Concerned that we may have the wrong car I went back inside only to find out the clerk who helped me was gone now which was minutes after we were just there. Only one clerk was there and she set us up for another vehicle after a 20+ min wait. I reminded her I needed a vehicle with low mileage. The office was now filled with 10-12 people waiting. We went out to our car only to find the car had 55k miles on it and had been smoked in. We had to get on the road so off we went to avoid waiting in the long line again. The car made a terrible noise on the road (it was cold, rainy, and dark). The next day when I went out to the car, I could see the left rear tire was completely BALD and had several holes in it. I opened a case with AVIS and a 2 way tow was setup for me to get a replacement car. I even received a text saying a car was secured for me. I waited and no one ever showed up...I waited hours and hours. I made a backup one way reservation at AVIS just in case. Once the store opeend up on Sunday morning, I went to exchange the vehicle to which I was told sorry, I cannot help you I don't have any cars. I told the clerk I was concerned this might be the case so I have a new reservation and he responded with oh, then I can help you. We made it back to the airport safely in the 2nd reservation. The tow truck NEVER came or called. I did try to reach out to AVIS a couple times (hold times were 50min+) on Saturday eve when the tow truck should have come. Today is now Wednesday.....4 days later to which I receive a text telling me a tow truck is on the way. WHAT? Why is there no quality inspection before a rental car is given out. No concern for human safety - it's appauling and this business needs to be stopped from doing this.

      As an Accredited Business with the BBB for well over a decade, I am now completely disappointed what it has become. All I get is Chat Bots, Chat Boxes, Return Undeliverable Emails, and a contact for ************************* that goes to nowhere. I have been asking for a refund since I renewed and got the runaround and refusal to answer my inquiry. The Better Business Bureau has upgraded itself to very place that is destroying small business integrity everywhere in the world. Please just give my money bac and let me move on.

      This organization has does not maintain good communication with it's clients. When I attempted to contact them at their phone number offered on the BBB WEB SITE by tapping on that number, my call was diverted to a sleazy organization attempting to extract personal information by pretending that I won a free reward.

      The staff at Avis Chandler are awesome. I thank them for always trying. With that said Avis as a company has become greedy. There is no reason I should be paying $360 a week for a car that I have to also do repairs on because they have no replacement cars. If you cannot hold up to your contract with your third party contractors. You should not be in business with that third party vendor.

      I would like to apologize to AVIS for my hasty post. Within two hours AVIS went above and beyond and got me a replacement car from another location. I can always admit my wrongs and give praise to those who correct their mistakes in an exceptional way like AVIS did.

      Rented vehicle in Miami Feb 2023 Pulled out of airport location noticed Fuel Guage was not full. After spending an hour in line to get the rental no way I was turning back. Approximately 1/8 tank down. Windows were filthy, vehicle had 47,000 on it and I doubt they were ever cleaned inside. Dropped rental off at another location that was a small store front that was closed, ie was on a Sunday. Dropped it off first thing Monday and I realize they charged me for an extra day. Employee told me they close at noon on Sunday. Never again!!
