Vehicles and tolls that are not mine were added to my account without my consent. When I asked who added the vehicle and requested a refund via phone and severely service requests the requests were closed without notifying me of the outcome. When requesting ti speak to a supervisor on this issue I am hung up on.

Hello this is ***** ******. The New Jersey Toll authority is more less scamming people by cunningly incorporating a $50 dollar administration fee to literally any fine amount on top of the original fee if you fail to stop and pay at a toll. Being from PA I was oblivious to this and traveled right through as we do in Pennsylvania. I co.e to find out my original toll fees of $23.30 turns in to $320 dollars, yes Three hundred and twenty dollars. It is to my understanding there is a state law in New Jersey that says you canno't charge more than the actual fee/fine. There is no way close that it cost the state of New Jersey $322.30 to type up 6 pieces of paper and mail them to me. Furthermore it is also to my understanding there is an ongoing class action lawsuit against the New Jersey Toll Authority for scamming people daily. I'm asking we co.e to a "decent and reasonable" amount. I would like to settle this and never come back to your state again. Thank you and have a good day.

I received a violation notice for a nj ezpass. I have been a member in good standing with ezpass NY for many years. This notice was mailed to a previous address and only by dumb luck did it find it's way to my hands. my address is current and has been for the last 3 years with the dmv for license, registration, etc, it has also been valid with ezpass itself.
upon looking up the alleged violation i found 3 more, 1 going back to october 2024(it is currently july 2025) with stiff fines. without a violation number, there is no method to even search for any possible violations.
I was told I had to pay the violations, no receipt would be issued, only a reference number. how am I supposed to get reimbursed? what proof do I even have that these"violations" are even cleared? how can I avoid this in the future, other than staying as far from new jersey as possible?
I waited on hold for more than 90 minutes to get a human being on the phone and she had no answers, no compassion, just a rude, annoyed attitude.

I have had my car and EZ- Pass with NJ for 5 years. I have lived in NYC & NJ back and forth. They keep giving me violations for my license plate when I have spoked to 3-4 different agents since the beginning of when I get my car and had my tag. SINCE 2020. my license plate has never changed and it is now 2025 and they keep hitting me with $50 violations for my tag. Every time I call they tell me it is in the system and yet I still have to call them every time to dispute a $50 charge when not only do I have ez pass tags that have never been removed but my license has not changed in the 5 years almost 6 years of me having this card. ALSO they are trying to steal money from their customers. Every time I put more money in my account they charge my account later after my account is back and filled with money. They then charge a statement fee and service fee and say its a violation. I dispute it every time telling them I am a EZ pass customer and every time i have to call them bc they say it's bc of my license plate. I am throughly disgusting with their scam tactics and i truly believe they are over charging their customers on purpose. They need to be looked at and surveillanced throughly they are doing their customers very dirty and I believe they are giving violations when they are not correct for more money bc they know people wont wait 1 hr on their customer line to talk to them. However, I wait every single time ... and every single time they tell me oh it was because of my plate... bc I always refill my account.... and every time I asl them why I have to keep telling them that my license plate has not changed in 6 YEARS ... PLEASE CHECK THEM BC THEY AREA SHADY SHADY BUSINESS.

I have an EZ-Pass (****************, NJ E-Z Pass sent a bill of $52.00 to collections for a toll they claim was not paid. My E-Z Pass is active and funds are out-replenished. If their toll reader was malfunctioning and did not read my E-Z Pass, then I should be charged the amount of the toll, not a violation fee. They sent my bill straight to collections.

The collection agency stated they are familiar with many similar instances where this happens and directed me to call NJ E-Z Pass.

I have called E-Z Pass countless times and have waited on hold for extended periods of time each time with no answer or way to get through to anyone. I tried contacting them twice through their online submission form and have recieved automatic responses stating that my bill was is with collections and it my request is automatically closed.

I have been unjustly charged a violation fee, and sent to collections with no way to dispute it. This is an unlawful practice.

I have received several violations in my name but the vehicle does not belong to me. I have disputed the violations online several times. I continue to receive the same violations, now with fees after I disputed them. I have tried to call everyday for the past 2 months and have yet to speak to anyone, as I am in line for a representative and after as long as waiting 2 hours, no representative comes to the line. I am at a loss what to do and I refuse to give anymore money to ezpass, especially when they are not my violations!

Your reader is not reading my scanner and I have an up to date account and have it in my windshield. Last night I went through the toll going over the Walt Whitman bridge (July 15th, 2025) and said my ex pass was unpaid. I have an active account and my transponder is in the correct spot. You guys are now doing this just because I’ve had enough disputes to where I have to pay the administrative fee now regardless. I am going to start recording these when I travel through and plan on file a complaint with whatever government agency.

I received a NJ EZPass violation for a short drive on the Atlantic City Expressway on May 19, 2025. It stated that I owed a $4.85 toll and a $50 “Administrative Fee”. Per the violation instructions, I completed Section B for Inadvertent Toll Violations and mailed it along with a check for the $4.85 toll. I had no intention of taking the Expressway, but my GPS directed me onto it. There was no toll plaza at the on-ramp nor the exit ramp. Yesterday I received an updated violation indicating that I still owe the “Administrative Fee”. If I don’t pay this “fee” by July 18, 2025 (3 days from today) I “may be subject to a collection agency and the suspension of all motor vehicle registration privileges by the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission”. I have tried calling NJ EZPass to discuss the matter but was sent through a voice response maze which did not include an option for my issue. I finally found an option for speaking to a representative in the option to set up a payment plan. That option gave a message that stated they are having phone trouble and the wait time exceeds 40 minutes. It has been over an hour and I have an appointment elsewhere.

I do not have a record of violations and I try to avoid toll roads. I had a PA EZ Pass account when I moved to New Jersey and there were still funds available on it, however, it was assigned to my prior state license and has been closed due to inactivity. I am being seriously threatened by this demand for payment for what was an innocent error.

My EZ pass device stopped working. I didnt notice until about four months into my commute from Toms river to ************** everyday. EZ pass started to bill 50 dollars per toll even though I had an account. By the time the letters started I had lost access to the online portal. I need to know how to pay just the toll amount and reopen my ez pass
