Avoid Drivo / Ace Car Rental. I took 1.5 from Terminal A to their location after a long walk to take the Airtrain and then the the shuttle to their location - I had to call 3 times.
They are a dishonest and manipulative company . Drivo / Ace is one of the few companies that require you to prove your insurance coverage. While I was able to clear that with some hassle and I was requested to make a deposit because the insurance was not bought with them. what I didn't agree. I booked my reservation via Booking.com and they gave me a car below the category that I reserved allegging that my reservation was expired because it was for 11:00 AM but my flight was schedule to arrive 5:00 PM (they knew the flight #) and they oferred me a free thank of gas but when I checked the car it had only half thank,
so I did complain and they told me that I do not have to refill the thank but after the return they charged the gas missing. At the time that I was picking the car, I saw a Client complaining that he reserved a car seat but they do not have it to give to.
These are some reasons that they are not a BBB Accredited business.

Never never rent a car from this people pay few dollars extra and it is worth at the end. Very dishonest people and don't know where they come from but with a very heavy accent and not good people I waited in line for 2 hours which was more than my flight travel time. After that they gave me a car which smell like majrijuana smoke in there. I had to return it on the spot to get a different car. There were many customers with kids who were tired and wiating in line and felt sorry for them. The person behind the counter was taking his own sweet time and he didn't care about anything else.

On top of that they charged me extra saying that I brought in car 2 hours late which was completely wrong. I had taken the picture of the dash board with time and mileage at the drop off to prove it. Also they had balls to say that I brought in car with empty gas tank but the picture I had taken shows off full.

These people are crooks and never deal with them again, stay away as much as you can from this company I also had a bad incident with this company in NC where they gave me a car with flat tire on purpose to claim that It was my fault.

This is a bad company to deal with, stay very far far far from them even if they give you free rental, They will manipulate and charge you somewhow at the end.

I rented a full size car. The customer service representative gave me an upgraded car. I thought that it was because they didn't have a full size car. He did tell me twice that there will be no additional charge. He lied or at the very least made a mistake, because I was charged an additional $60.00.
I dropped the car on Saturday. Today it's Tuesday evening. I am giving them two more days to correct that mistake before reporting the transaction to my credit card as fraud and to the State Consumer Protection.
I wouldn't recommend anyone to do business with DRIVO LLC.

    Avoid Drivo.
My 76 year old mother and I were in New Jersey for a funeral. Mom required a walker and has a tough time getting around. When I booked I had no idea that Drivo was not in the airport and followed signs to the car rental companies. When we called to figure out where to go the person on the other end had a thick accent and it took us an extra hour to figure out how to get to Drivo.

Once at Drivo I gave my registration number and I thought we were all set. However, apparently my insurance was not good enough and I had to add their overly priced insurance to my policy. They also required an additional $500 deposit if I used a debit card, $200 deposit if I used a credit card. They also charge $10-$15 a day if you have tolls plus the toll itself. With other companies there is a transponder you can pay for. When I saw what was supposed to be a $309 car rental balloon to $856 rental plus tolls yet to be charged I asked to speak to the supervisor who was standing right next to the the rude person helping me. I waited 10 minutes for him to respond to me and when he did he said he would take $50 off. The associate then preceded to show the manager how to implement. I was done. Then the associate wanted me to sign the online contract which is impossible to read. I signed using my standard signature and was told that, “this is a serious contract and the signature needed to match the signature on my drivers license“. This happened three more times.

I am an attorney by trade. I know how contracts work. I did not need a rude associate to give me crap when I was just trying to get out of the establishment and move on.

I will NEVER use Drivo again. I booked through Travelocity and am very disappointed they would associate themselves with this type of company. In the end a $309 rental is going to cost $856 and it took two additional hours to find, get to, and sign off on the car.

Avoid Drivo / Ace Car Rental. The are a dishonest and manipulative company that will add questionable fees - you'll end up paying more that you would have for a more reputable company.
Drivo / Ace is one of the few companies that require you to prove your insurance coverage. While I was able to clear that (with some hassle), during the process the agent slipped in: "and it's good that you won't have any deductible", which I didn't completely understand. Turns out he added additional paid coverage to my contract which I didn't realize until I got the final bill. I never said yes to that coverage.
Also, I was charge a very high administrative fee for a bridge toll, even though I had paid the toll directly via the toll authority.

i picked up the car, first the shuttle was suppose to pick me up in 15min , that turned into 35min...no big deal. then i pick up a small car they called "mid size" which was not true. Once i started driving the car, within half an hour, light comes up tire pressure low on two tires, front and back. then within 1 hr was flat. I went to goodyear tire, they put tire just to find out the "valve " on the tire was never replaced when they placed the tire so it was going to continue to leak. I called customer service told them the situation, the mechanic from Good year also spoke to them explaining the situation that the tires were basically defective . They refused to change the car, they refused a refund and told me its "in my contract to pay for tire as it is something I did". the idiot at customer service could not understand that it was not caused by me , it was bad them as they never placed the valve on their tires on this car. Then today, the engine light comes on and I have been trying to get hold of someone to see what can be done and they just keep putting me on hold. DO NOT DO NOT RENT FROM THEM AS THEY ARE SCAMMERS!! I have reported them to the athorney general office and office of consumer trade!! They should not get away with this!!

My family and I picked up a Hyundai Elantra with a quarter tank and within two days, the car had a 6% oil life left. While my mother was working, she contacted customer service. Customer service said for us to either come back with the vehicle and wait for it to get serviced or pay for the oil change ourselves and they would reimburse us. This interfered with my mother’s work and is a state where we’ve never visited and wouldn’t even know where to go for a quality oil change, or the oil the car takes. After being transferred to a supervisor, she was told that the car could in fact be exchanged. She asked if the toll fees could be waived since that was the only reasonable route to take to bring the car back. The customer service stated that they will put it in the notes for the people in store, however, when we arrived to the rental place after my mother cut work short, the members in store said they saw no notes and that only customer service would help with this matter. When we called customer service AGAIN, they stated that they would still be charging us for the tolls that we had to go through to get back to the rental place. The company members in person and on the phone asked why she didn’t take local roads and avoid tolls, but that would have turned a 45 min- 1 hour drive to a 6 hour and 12 minute drive.
The member in store expressed that the services made on the car and the information put in the system do not always match, and they said everything should be fine. Before we got the same model car as a replacement, I asked if they could check the oil level, and they stated that they do not do that, but if it is in the system marked as available, then it should be good. Once we got the replacement vehicle, the oil life notification popped up again and said it needed to be serviced. I pop the hood and check the oil level myself to ensure that the oil was the proper color and within the safety markers. I reset the oil life reader in the car myself.

I initially had a positive experience with Ace by Drivio when renting my vehicle. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful, but my experience quickly turned negative when picking up and returning the car.

It was raining heavily when I picked up the rental, making it impossible to properly inspect the vehicle for pre-existing damage. No staff member conducted a walkaround, which seemed odd. Additionally, I was charged a $700 deposit because I used a debit card, despite documents stating the maximum should be $500.

The real issue came when returning the car. A staff member confirmed we were returning it and instructed us to leave the keys and head to the shuttle. Later, I received calls and texts stating the car wasn’t returned, with threats of involving the police. Despite providing evidence, such as my phone’s GPS data, the company falsely accused me. I spent days going back and forth with them, trying to explain the situation. Finally, after filing a police report and informing the company I was recording our call, they admitted the car had been returned on time.

This confirmed my suspicion they were trying to scam me. I strongly advise against renting from Ace by Drivio due to their dishonest practices and lack of professionalism.
