Overcharged by the agency, and wasn't provided an updated invoice until I called them several days later. They claim that returning the car at 8PM instead of 7:15PM entitles them to charge me for an extra day. When I was returning the car no one mentioned anything about being late or any extra charges being incurred. All I was told was "great, everything is in order." The extra day charge was added surreptitiously, hoping I would not notice.

Please avoid this place at all costs if you want to keep your family safe. They rented a car to me with bald tires and a battery that had never been changed. The car died in the dead of winter and I had to get it jump started. The tow truck owner told me the car was terribly unsafe and that I should not have my children in the car without new tires and a new car battery. The company does no maintenance on their cars and when I called them out on their policies not only were they unapologetic but they tried to claim I was responsible for buying a new battery for their car. They absolutely need to be out out of business as soon as possible. People die in cars and this business doesn't care at all about safety.

Got robbed at the ****** counter.Made a reservation in advance for a full sized car for the period 12/26/22 - 12/29/22. The reservation summary quoted $209.34 for the 3 days @45.92 per day + other incidentals.Flight got cancelled, and arrived at the ****** counter only on 12/28/22 at around 10 am. Gave the agent my confirmation number, and told him I'd be dropping the car back the next day (12/29/22). The agent told me that they did not have a car just for one day. I asked him to honor the original reservation for 3 days, and it was ok to charge me the full amount - $290.34 The agent apparently made a new reservation that came to $481.97 for 2 days (since I'd be bringing the car back after 24 hours i.e after 10 am the next day).He even added CDW, roadside assistance and liability. I told him I don't need those since I already had those, and had additionally purchased renter car damage insurance just for this booking. But oddly the agent kept repeating that whether I chose CDW, roadside assistance and liability, or did not choose to do so, the charges came with the reservation. It was important for me to be somewhere that same day and hence made the decision on the spot it was more important for me to be where I had planned to be, than to waste more time at the Drivo counter, and so told the agent to do what he wanted to do, and just get me the car. After the trip, and once settled back home, I did call up Drivo customer care and explained the situation, hoping they could do something, but the line just went silent after around 30 minutes into the call with me explaining the situation..My advice to folks, Drivo is the equivalent of a hole-in-the-wall operation among car rental companies. Go for more established ones like ***************** etc. even if it means a few extra bucks. They do indulge in predatory pricing too, but are more professional and the situation like I described above would never happen.

This place is terrible and I wish I looked at this page before renting. They have a very scammy business model and I will never rent from them or Ace, etc. again. I made a reservation on Priceline for $157 for a 4 day car rental through Ace. They said they did not have the car I reserved and had to get a different car (made it sound like it would be better for me, that I would be getting a better car) but it was pricier, so then my rental became more expensive (which defeated the purpose of renting from them to begin with). I was like OK, fine. Then they said I "need" to add "another" insurance even though I had insurance through my credit card, I said OK fine. Then they said I should add unlimited fuel (even though I wasn't going to drive the car that much) because there are no gas stations near by there so the bill added another $50. I said OK, fine. Then they told me the EZpass charges are $36 per toll (in addition to the toll itself). I said OK, fine, I will make sure I carry cash for tolls. After 2 HOURS post my long flight, I received the car - a standard *****, drove alright and was clean. I made sure I drove through all cash tolls. I return the car with half a tank (so I lost money on the gas because I actually didn't need the full tank even), then I wait for 30 minutes for a shuttle to the airport! I almost miss my flight but thankfully my airlines had me skip all the lines at the airport. THEN 10 days later I get an additional charge for an EZpass toll for $51! They say this is a toll I passed through. I was like are you serious? I paid cash for every toll I went through. They said if I can't show a receipt they cant refund it. I gave this screwed up business **** near $400. I wish I came here before renting from them. The people that work there seem like regular nice people who don't have bad intentions, but the business is awful.

I returned my rental and was about to catch the shuttle to catch my international flight when I was told that the rental car I returned was damaged. They showed my some photos. I don't know if the damage was there or if they damaged it and tried to ********* with returning damaged vehicle. I've never been in an accident or even gotten parking tickets or any type of traffic tickets e.g. speeding etc. I'm covered by my **************** card and have rented many cars over the years. I've never had any problems. I also bought extra car insurance at the counter which they insisted on me buying it. Then I read an article afterwards about the Drivo company and how it's been accused of many scams. I am shocked. I thought I was renting from Fox but when I went to the rental site, it said Drivo. Now I'm in negotiations with Amex and Drivo's ****************** Rockport. What should I do?
