Worst experience I ever had with a rental company ! I blame Priceline , as I went thru them as a 3rd party to try and save a couple bucks. Cars available are subpar ! It’s outside Newark airport , 10-15 minutes away , and they’re not open 24 hrs. My first car I received was a compact car with a nasty smell inside. I was supposed to receive a standard sized car. Took them a day and a half after multiple calls to give me the correct sized car
The car they gave me wasn’t much better but at least it was right sized car and didn’t smell
Highly recommend not ever using this company

I did not have the best experience. I rented through Priceline a third party company that deals with drivo. I have dealt with Priceline many years to book flights and hotels accommodations. Over the weekend Delta flight was delayed several times because of the heat. Which was on the local news. When I finally got in it was about 11:00 and I was told that my car or reservation was canceled. I was told by the representative that after 2 hours of being late that there was no guaranteed. So I was told to false statements. She didn't proceed to say that she was going to do me a favor by finding a bigger truck and charging me a up price of only $90. At that time I was pretty much stuck and had no other choice. So this is why I believe they are taking advantage of Priceline customers by allowing Priceline to give us a discount and then when we get to them they do this scam. I can definitely verify that there were two small vehicles available because the couple two after me was giving a smaller car.
I did contact Priceline and they did contact the representative and they verify that there was no cancellation to my reservation .
The representative lied to Priceline and told them that they did not have no idea what time flights come in.. Highlighting the actual agreement states after 24 hours the rental car is canceled.
The manager was aware of this and allegedly he was doing me a favor by upgrading the car, upcharging me $90. Still highlighting that there were two other smaller cars available for other people and not me.
This this location close at 12:00 a.m. highlighting that I had a 5:00 a.m. flight. So I asked would I be able to drop the car off around 3:00 a.m. in the morning. They stated yes but then said that there will be no shuttle bus available to get us to the airport. This location is off the airports property and on the side of a highway. This prompt me to get moving so we will not be out in the middle of the night trying to catch a Uber in Newark NJ

We rented a car from Drivio near JFK Airport and had a frustrating experience right from the start. Upon arrival, we spent over 30 minutes with the employee trying to prove we had valid car insurance. Although we presented our insurance policy, they insisted it wasn’t acceptable and demanded a specific document labeled “Insurance Declaration.” I’ve rented from many companies before and have never been required to provide this type of documentation. The process was unnecessarily time-consuming and felt excessive compared to standard industry practices.

After returning our rental vehicle, we received an email from Rockport Insurance—Drivio’s insurance provider—claiming the car had been involved in a collision and had a light scratch on the bumper. Let me be clear: we were not in any collision, nor did we cause any damage to the vehicle. Despite this, they stated the repair would cost $875 and instructed us to file a claim with our own insurance. I have since notified my insurance agent not to honor any claim made by them, as this accusation is completely false and appears to be an attempt to push through an illegitimate claim.

Drivio and Rockport Insurance have a good scam going on. Please do your research before ever renting from there.

Terrible, before leaving with my rental I was told the car already had damages and picture and videos were taken and will be sent to me. never received the images. After returning the rental and going home this company tired to bill me for the damages on the car that was already there. They never viewed the images that were taken of the car before I left, they took new images and videos with a time stamp showing the dangers after I returned the car, they just tried to blame it on me until I told them the damages were already there and the guy took videos and picture and said he would send them to me but never sent them. I told them I'm not paying nothing until y'all send me the images that were taken before I left with the car. A week in half later they just randomly closed the case. I know I shouldve took videos and pictures myself but I was rushing and just assumed I would get the pictures and videos the guy took. I feel like they tried to get over on me because I live in another state and they knew I had to way to access them in person once I was back home, i will never book with them again

I was very upset with the entire process. I had reserved my car over Expedia and I also bought insurance through a third party. However, when I arrived at 6am on June 22nd, the offices were not open. Employees passed me by and completely ignored me, even when I tried to talk with them. Other customers had gathered in the office, and no one informed us why we were not being helped. After more than 30 minutes from my scheduled pick up time, when someone did finally speak with me, I was informed I needed to purchase Drivo's insurance, which raised my fees to nearly double what they were quoted for. I was not given the opportunity to prove I had already purchased insurance. When I called the corporate offices, I was told there was nothing I could do. The representative was very rude on the phone and would not help me. When I returned the car early on June 28th, I was informed that the drop off office had been closed (even though it looked open) and was told to drive to the other office. The customer service was terrible, and I feel like I was ripped off. I was nickeled-and-dimed for dozens of fees which ended up raising my full rental even more. I would not recommend this company.

Updated - the company sent out several emails to me after I left this review. I was given the run-around for two weeks. A Carter L. from their customer care team left me on read several times in emails, and ultimately told me there was nothing they could do. I find it disingenuous that on this PUBLIC platform they responded to my message saying they "want to help" and yet when in private, they gave me nothing but indifference and shrugged shoulders. Do not rent from this company, they will nickel and dime you into nearly double what you were quoted.

Not enough staff available to help. Had to stay in line for over 30 minutes. They will do anything to force you to buy insurance from them and double the price of online. Plus they are not in the same place as other rental cars and you have to get an shuttle to get there.

I recently rented a vehicle through an online broker, which promoted ******** a Car and offered what was advertised as "full protection insurance." I selected that option and paid in full ahead of time. However, when I arrived to pick up the vehicle, I was informed at the counter that the so-called full protection only covered wheels and certain partsnot collision coverage. I was then told I would need to pay an additional $30 per day for proper insurance coverage. The staff member at the counter was dismissive and made it clear that this was my problemnot theirs or the brokers. I tried to explain the situation and asked for help, but I was met with attitude and zero flexibility. Since the broker had already charged my credit card and I couldnt cancel or get a refund on the spot, I had no choice but to accept the additional $300 charge for my 10-day ************************* someone who rents cars regularly when visiting family across the country, Ive never encountered this kind of poor customer service or misleading insurance policies. This experience was incredibly frustrating, and it has left a lasting negative impression. I will not be renting from Drivo, ***** any affiliated serviceagain.

returned the vehicle and was told by their employee that everything was in good condition. A few days later, they hit me with a $279.92 charge for low tire pressure something that was never mentioned at return and came with zero proof.Customer support was completely unhelpful and refused to take responsibility. *** had to dispute the charge with my credit card and report them to consumer protection agencies.Stay away from this company theyll charge you for made-up issues after youre gone.
