    Horrible experience from top to bottom. No integrity from this company. Do not use Ace rental at Newark or anywhere. Besides the extremely long check in process and additional shuttle, the counter person scammed me. I was told I could prepay for fuel and was charged the extra expense at check in (I pre-paid hoping to have less stress when returning the car). When driving off, I noticed that the tank was not full, it was about 75% (which was frustrating). When I returned the car, I was then later billed an additional $100 for fuel refill. I called and emailed the 'Customer Care' (because you can't call Newark directly) and I explained I 'pre-paid' for fuel. The rep acted like they didn't know anything. They would repeat the same line saying the car was not returned at full tank. I kept explaining that I 'pre-paid' for fuel. They acted like that wasn't an option. I emailed them my credit charge, but they keep responding with the same line (turning the blame on me). I now need to cancel my credit card because I'm concerned the counter person scammed me. Do not use Ace.

    Not notified of policy to pre-register insurance or wait 2 hrs at office to process information. Was at the office 3 hrs. Was given a car with Drivco advertisement covering entire body. Told no other options aside from paying additional $150. Extremely dismissive staff. Asked me to step aside. Did not return to help. Both desk clerk and manager were unhelpful. One person at corporate office call center was helpful in at least "expediting" processing of my personal insurance. However, left very unsettled and upset in advertisement "Drivo-Rent Me" car. Exceptionally poor experience. Please be aware of Drivco/Ace/Fox policies of upselling prior to booking.

    These guys don’t clean the cars properly.
    First one they brought me smelled of really bad body odor. Next one they brought me had kicked on chocolate milk, stains in the backseat and on the floor that weren’t ever touched by the cleaning crew. Be sure to inspect the vehicle.

    Rental Agreement (EWR-153046)
    I can't rate my experience higher than a 1-2 because the car pick-up process is HORRENDOUS. I completed all the pre-rental paperwork/insurance on line and had to repeat it in the office. The queue was very long and it took about 20+ minutes to process each client. I've rented several times from Driveo and the pickup process has not improved over several years.
    A complete redesign of the online pre-rental registration and onsite paperwork is desperately needed - PLEASE.
    Although totally frustrated with the pickup process, the staff was friendly, patient and helpful. They deserve better than having to deal with Drivo's tremendously inefficient onsite pickup process.
    Drop off/car return was effortless.
    Why can't a known car reservation (date/time) paperwork with complete online registration/insurance be completed in you IT system so the renter only has to show DL, CC, make decision on extras, initial/sign and get the car. SO SIMPLE!!!

    This is the worst car rental business I've ever used. Not only were they late in delivering my vehicle but when I returned the vehicle, they stated that it was never returned. I was getting messages everyday to return it or else they would have report me to the police. I called them multiple times to fix the issue but I would get a different agent every time. Every agent said they would call me back but never did. It was finally fixed after a week.

    They were horrible! And very unprofessional! They scare me out of paying for more insurance that I needed for the car that I rented and then charged me $200 more on top of it, and when you question the charges they don't want to provide you a good customer service or the right answers, even if you ask for a supervisor they can't help you it's all a scam! Never never ever rent from them again

    this company is not legit- i had 4 terrible tires and one blew out leaving me stranded- with no donut or spare tire that fit the vehicle- had their roadside assistance guy come and said he’s never seen anything like it. They would not reimburse me for the tire I had to pay for the tire, a new tire and there were many other issues, including floormat issues check engine, light issues, and customer service was horrible even all the way up to the district manager tried to get in touch with the CEO and nobody called me back. Do not recommend to anyone and I used to use Ace all the time. Terrible worst experience of my life.

    Worst car rental experience i have ever had. To start, the agent was forcing me to buy insurance for the rental. After I told him that I wanted to use coverage from my credit card, he insisted that my credit card doesn't cover liability. Then I had to upload my own car insurance policy from ***** **** to their portal. It took me some time to get my own policy uploaded, and after reviewing my policy, the agent insisted that my policy does not cover rental cars. It was such a frustrating experience, I had to call state farm right there and get a state farm agent to talk to the Drivo/Ace agent, and finally they agreed to let me waive the insurance, which is almost $200 for 4 days of rental
    After the insurance is settled, the agent moved on to say that the type of car that I reserved is not available, and wanted me to pay extra for an upgrade. I told him that I reserved this car for this period of time, it is your responsibility to make sure that it is available for me to pick up at this time. He then said that I had to wait for another 15 minutes for the car, if I chose to not upgrade.
    It is very obvious what Drivo is doing, they lure customer in with cheaper prices up front and then scam their customers for more money.
    The couple next to me had similar experience, the agent told them that in order to use their own insurance policy, Drivo(ace)'s system take about an hour. The couple did not want to wait for an hour and paid over $100 for the insurance.
    Today I received an invite from Drivo to post a positive review about my experience, for a chance to win a Mac book. Which explains why there are so many positive reviews. BEWARE!!!

    Car was good and people were nice but, I got charged an extra $200 for the car & they charged me for the tolls I paid in cash. Very upset
