I reached out to LeafGuard 5 times to get an estimate for repairs due to storm damage. This started on 4/18. I had been told a manager would reach out to schedule someone to look at the gutters. I had been told someone would be at my house on 5/15 at 3pm CTno show. We were asked to reach out to LeafGuard so we didnt mess with the warranty but now all I want is to never have to deal with this company again. Now because no one is responding, we will have to have new gutters put on to replace the current system. This should be covered by our insurance but cant do anything because this company wont follow through on requests for estimates!

was told by the leafguard salesman that the total price of gutters would be $9348 total! that we would get a loan for 7 years and our minimum monthly payment would be $112, that we would have deferred interest so as long as we paid the total in less than 84 months it would just be $9348 total. we told him we could do that and we'd even try and do double payments each month to get it paid off faster so we didnt have to pay interest. then we sign stuff on his tablet and get setup, they come and install gutters within 24 hours. then come to find out he has us thinking its a loan with leafguard for $9348 with 84 months deferred interest at $112 a month payments. what it really was is now i have a credit card i wouldve never ever signed up for with ************** and when we spoke to them they said they dont do deferred interest and theres no 84 month thing its just however long it takes us to pay off the balance, plus out of that $112 payment each month $78 of it goes towards interest so only $34 would go towards the gutter payment. basically got tricked into thinking it was one thing and its something completely different. thats a scam. so now by the time we get this paid off itll be more like $14,000 even tho the salesman knew we were very hesitant to get these gutters cause local contractors couldve put em on the house for $2000 total. its not right how the guy lied and made it seem like we were getting and paying for one thing and its completely not what was supposed to be. we contact leafguard and they say one thing and we contact synchrony and they tell us another. wouldve never purchased these gutters had i known id be getting a credit card and paying $78 interest every month, if it was like they said 84 months deferred interest then yeah theres no problem but instead its 9.99% interest every month til the balance is paid. i dont understand how they can say one thing and yet im stuck paying for something totally different. what can i do??

Complaint taken over phone by BBB ***resentative BA.Consumer signed a contract on 4/28/2025 for gutters and downspouts front and back. The *** followed her to the bank for a certified pre-paid check for the down payment in the amount of $4250.29. The total price quoted was $12,000. The work was done on 4/30/25 and consumer paid the balance with another certified pre-paid check. On 5/6/2025 she got a call from LeafGuard that the check for the deposit had bounced and her bank account was closed. She was told at the bank that the checks were both good. The accounting department told her the checks were never presented to or processed by her bank and they would not have told LeafGuard the account was closed. She explained this to the project manager. He insists it bounced. The business claims they have the proof. He became angry and would not allow her to speak to corporate. He told her they would win in court. She feels they are not being truthful. Her bank has told her it is impossible for a certified pre-paid check to bounce.

Leaf guard advertisement said any estimate includes a Fifty dollar ****** Group gift card. I scheduled a estimate for my home, and after trying to negotiate a fair market price, I decided to get another estimate from another company. The high pressure salesman wanted me sign a contract on the spot. I declined and was told he would bring my gift card with the contract, after I thought about his price. I never received my gift card. I called them twice requesting my gift card to no avail.

A Leafguard Representative inspected our gutters. I told her I had other estimators coming and I would consider her estimate (over $16,000) but didn't agree to it. Within a couple hours the company sent a "no-reply" email with a contract where every field for the customer had been manually "signed" with a digitally drawn line (a unique line image for each field). I had expected a proposal/estimate, not a contract pre-signed in customer fields. The contract included a section "Consent to E-Delivery of Documents" (also pre-signed manually) which stated "I agree that you can provide me with my copies of the contract that I sign on this device." In addition, in a section "Your Agreement," (also pre-signed), the contract stated "NOTICE TO OWNER: Do not sign this contract if blank. You are entitled to a copy of the contract at the time you sign," which could be interpreted as an assertion that the manually pre-signed line entered in the customer signature fields takes precedence over any actual customer signature. Under Virginia's Uniform Electronic Transactions Act (UETA), "an e-signature is only valid and enforceable if there is evidence of the signatory’s intent to execute or accept the agreement. Evidence may include actions such as affirmatively clicking “I agree” in an agreement, or signing using a finger, or typing your name into an agreement." The "contract" included my name, address and email on Page 1 (I had provided that usual info for the estimator), which could be claimed to be "typing my name" and each customer field had been signed (by someone, not me) with a wavy line - ie under UETA, "signing using a finger." When I spoke with the LeafGuard of DC Manager Peter Vaughan, he stated it was their standard practice to pre-sign the customer fields. The one field for LeafGuard's signature had a hand-drawn "NO SALE," which mitigates the risk but doesn't mitigate the non-standard practice of pre-signing customer fields.

I sent the cancellation pages on 4-19-2025.

I had LeafGuard gutters installed in May 2024. The evening that the gutters were completed, I had 2 dogs go to the emergency vet and test positive for THC. I contacted the district manager and asked for the workers to be drug tested. I was told they wouldn't do that and they basically blew me off after that. The guy who was supposed to come do the final inspection was a no show 3 times and then just stopped replying to me, so there was never a final inspection done. One section of the gutter pours water out when it rains. After 2 no shows, someone finally came out, but the issue was not resolved. Now I have a downspout that pours water where it connects to the gutter. They were supposed to come on Tuesday, but after I messaged them to find out a time I was told they were short staffed and would be here today. Well, they are a no show again today with no call or anything. For the cost of these gutters, the customer service should be a little better. I have searched and can't find a way to contact the corporate office. I would like my gutters fixed, or my money back.

I had LeafGuard sales guys out for an estimate on new gutters and the promo said that I would receive a $50.00 **** card for one hour of my time. They took over two hours and gave me a price that was crazy high, so dropped price that was still 4x higher than another quote I had for new standard gutters. Salesman left me with a form to send in after he signed it, and I completed it a mailed it per instructions on form.Never received card and started calling on 12/13/24, took my info and got call back about a week later from G.M. who was a real piece of work, telling me I never sent in the form, basically calling me a liar. Send he was sending out a card however. 01/30/25, still no card and called and said I wanted to talk with the G.M.s boss as I will not put up with his b.s. again. Never got call from R.M., on 02/07 got call back from **, said he would check on it and call me back, never did, and have been ghosted on two calls since. Its only $50 and I have spent a lot more of my time, its just a matter of principle now ??. Dont believe this company and sure happy I didnt purchase their overpriced gutters.
