      I have a received from MCS a letter 5/15 stating that I owe $84.28 to Ruckersville GFL environmental trash service. I am being contacted by this company ************** MCS collection agency constantly stating I have an outstanding balance. I contacted ***** she sent me an email in May stating that this bill was a mistake and it was corrected. I have this documented. I never owed this amount. I didnt even live at this address at that time of billing. I have been going round and round with both Ruckersville hauling and MCS to get this situation resolved, however, it is still ongoing. I would appreciate any help in this matter to have a final resolution.

      Per the customer service manager in the customers local office, they can disregard any notices received. The account balance is zero. It does take a little time for the balance to clear out, but they have assured me that the customer owes nothing, and the account is in the process of being removed from collections.

      On May 10, 2024 we contacted GFL at *********** in regards to our trash not being picked on on May 3rd and May 10th. At that time we were told that they were "short" drivers and the trash would be picked up on May 17th. The trash was not picked up at the regular time on May 17th so I called and was told it would be picked up by 7pm. On May20th, I called because the trash was not picked up as promised on May 17th. At that time I was told that they do not have anyone who can pick it up and I would have to wait until the normal Friday pick up on May 24th. At that time I told them to cancel my service effective back to May 3rd since they have not picked up my trash. I was told that the can would be picked up within the next 5 business days. Today is June 21st and 4 weeks have gone by and the trash can is still sitting in my driveway and I am still waiting for a refund that is owed to me. I was told that the refund could take up to 3 months which is unacceptable!!! The can needs to be removed off my property and the refund needs to be processed immediately as I am owed the money.

      I am rejecting this response because: our service was PRE PAID in advance before our cancelation date of 5/24/2024.  We should not have to wait yet another 2 weeks if not longer for our refund.  If a service is not prepaid youcancel the service. Now that we have canceled our service you take 2 months to proess a refund.  We expect a refund to be processed ASAP and mailed to us via 2nd day delivery as the latest.  

       

      futhermore, i was told on 5/21/2024 the can would be removed by 7pm.  The can was NOT picked up until this afternoon 5/25/2024.  No doubt it qould still be here had I not filed a complaint with the BBB.

      I made arrangements to have the container removed as soon as I was made aware of the issue. It was then confirmed with me that it had been removed.

      I am rejecting this response because I want to know why it took from May 22nd until June 28th to pick up the can after I was told every week that it would be picked up Friday. It is obvious that my issue was not important until the complaint was filed.  

      As far as the refund...again a customer has their service cut off if the invoice is not prepaid.  You taking since May 22nd to issue a refund is unacceptable.   You can not even give a time that it should be received. You just say the check will be cut July 2 and mauled shortly after.  

      Nothing is obviously done when calling you directly.  My next complaint is with the attorey generals office!!

      GFL has repeatedly failed to pick up trash over the last several weeks. I have filed complaints/requests to remedy the situation with both GFL and through *************************, but have gotten no resolution.

      GFL has started to skip picking up trash all over *************. I'm paying $17 a month, which means you pick up trash 4 or 5 times a month. You can't just skip it. You can't leave a developed area swallowed up by trash for no reason. Apparently they don't think they have to do their jobs WHICH I'M PAYING THEM TO DO. It's a breach of contract, which means I can **** This is absolutely outrageous. You can't just leave trash crowding the streets rotting in the sun. I am at a loss for words. This is a developed country. This is absolutely outrageous!!!!

      Services not rendered. For one full week with calls to attempt to fix with no resolution. When calling to schedule a missed trash pick up it was never followed up on and picked up. Local lines were not available for 2 days and national support was unable to remedy. This was an issue for a full neighborhood not just one residence.

      To Whom It May ********* am writing to formally lodge a complaint against GFL Environmental regarding their repeated failure to collect my household trash in a timely manner. Over the past ten months, there have been more than six or seven instances where my trash was not collected on the scheduled day.Despite multiple calls to GFL Environmentals customer service to report these missed collections, the response has consistently been inadequate. Each time, I have been assured by the customer service representatives, and even escalated to supervisors, that the trash would be collected promptly. Unfortunately, these assurances have not been met with corresponding action, resulting in ongoing inconvenience and frustration.The repeated failures in service are unacceptable and have caused significant inconvenience. I am seeking a resolution to this issue and expect GFL Environmental to take immediate corrective action to ensure that trash collection is conducted as scheduled in the future. Additionally, I would appreciate a formal apology and a detailed plan outlining the steps GFL Environmental will take to prevent such issues from recurring.I hope that filing this complaint with the Better Business Bureau will prompt GFL Environmental to address and rectify this ongoing problem promptly.       I am rejecting this response because:

      I am writing to express my profound frustration and dissatisfaction with GFL Environmentals service. Despite filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and receiving assurances from GFL Environmental that the issue would be escalated and resolved, no action has been taken.
      On Friday, I received a call from a GFL customer representative who promised to escalate the matter and ensure that my trash would be picked up. However, despite these assurances, the issue remains unresolved.

      Following this, I called GFL **************** again on Friday and Saturday to request trash collection, but no action was taken. This morning, I spent nearly 45 minutes on hold beforerequesting a call back, which I have yet to receive.

      It has now been a week since my trash was missed, and I have made more than 10 calls to GFL Environmental in this period alone. Despite paying my bills on time, I am left dealing with uncollected trash, which is completely unacceptable.

      The customer service and overall service provided by GFL Environmental are severely lacking. I demand immediate action to resolve this issue and a thorough explanation of why this problem persists despite multiple complaints and assurances of resolution.

      The City of ************* has created a monopoly whereby the commercial businesses are bound to one trash company. GFL is that trash company. Everything runs fine for about 3 months then all of a sudden they stop collecting and emptying my dumpster. I have told them on numerous occasions that I do not pay for services I do not receive. We then have to jump through hoops to have our account rectified and this can take months. The last time this occured, I warned them that my patience was exhausted and that they would be incurring fines for breach of contract. 3 weeks ago, they stopped picking up again and I emailed them enquiring about the situation and reminding them that they were liable for breach of contract. They then cut the lock off my gate without my permission and installed one of their own and left an incorrect key with my neighbor, denying me access to my yard. I cut their lock off and installed one of my own. Their excuse was that they had lost the key but the the person who cut the lock off, told my neighbor that the driver had left with the key. I then informed them that the penalty for this was that they needed to put a $200 key deposit down with me as I have found that if there is a monetary value attached with something like this, the person is more likely to be more mindful and take care of the key. I have had a couple of conversations with some of the supervisors who keep kicking this matter ***tairs and not taking responsibility. I am tired of their constant lying about the situation and not taking responsibility for their terrible work ethic and bad management. So far this month, they have picked up only once so there is the matter of the $200 key deposit, $150 in fines and $150 in admin fees and $177.66 in missed pick **** This will increase on a weekly basis if more pick *** are missed. Also, you cannot call and get a live person on the phone due to the convoluted system they use. I'll be happy to have a conversation with their CEO.

      We have utilized the services of GFL for weekly trash and recycling pickup since Sept 2020. In April of 2024, these services began to operate on an interrupted basis with no resolution and no communication from the company. Recycling and Trash services would not come for multiple weeks at a time. Upon contacting the company we were told trucks were broken down but they would be out to pick up services within 48 hours. No one ever came. Complaints were submitted both online and via telephone. Finally services were scheduled to be cancelled. Payments for services is done on a quarterly basis, and we were told that we would not be eligible for a refund on the balance of the services, due to their policy. I informed them that services were being terminated because GFL was unable to complete their portion of the agreement and that therefor negated any policy agreement we signed up for. At this point a "supervisor" reached out, and said she would be in contact to determine exactly what services and when they were missed to confirm my information. Although the entire neighborhood has cancelled their services at this time. We have received no further information, and GFL has continued to not pick up their bins, for 4 or more weeks, as they requested. We are told weekly to leave them out and they will be picked up, and nothing happens.

      Beginning on 5/31/24 my trash service was not completed I thought that because of the holiday service was suspended. The following week 6/3/24 my scheduled service on Wednesday was not completed, I called that same day and was told to call back on Thursday as they could not send the truck back out on the same day of service. I called that Thursday and had them come back out on Friday. The following week of 6/10/24 my scheduled service was again skipped due to no fault of my own, I called again on Thursday and was told that they would send someone back out. No one ever came back out that week and then Monday 6/17/24 my husband called and spoke with a rep and a sup who were incredibly rude, lacked empathy to the situation and failed to send out a truck as promised on that phone call. We canceled our service however they once again skipped this week's service. When I called customer service and spoke with **** based out of ********* PA she refused to put a supervisor on the line and said that because service had been canceled they would not pick up when I explained that they hadn't picked up the prior weeks trash and they had not picked up my cans she still refused to put a supervisor on the line and then said that if we aren't service on Friday to call back again.

      Since May 20th, GFL said they would collect 2 garbage bins for the CANCELLED garbage service. We canceled the service and requested the bin pickup 6 times. Each time GFL has said that they would get the bins that day BUT they never do. We want them to collect the 2 not-used bins. We're not the only homeowner in the community waiting a long time for GFL to collect unused bins. Their lack of service and misinformation is the reason for cancellation.
