      On 09/21/24 GFL came and picked up because our bill was $27.81 and was told we would have to pay ****** to be reinstated. Now why not notify us of the problem and let us take care of it because it was overlooked. Me and my wife are elderly and disabled. I had paid the past due amount on Sunday. We have been in and out of Hospital the past three months thats why it was over looked.All I asked for was a little understanding they did not want to hear it. So my neighbor said he would help us out taking the garbage off. Thanks for NOTHING GFL Enviromental.

      After selling my house I called to cancel service and the representative told me that I needed to go online to cancel my auto pay after some back and forth (I really dont like doing anything online) I reluctantly agree but when I logged on after the call I could not find anything about cancelling auto pay. I went back to work and forgot about the interaction. Yesterday I get charged so o call to clear things up and the lady walks me through canceling auto pay ( its hidden in a setting after clicking make a payment just fyi) I then ask when I can expect a refund and she explains I am not entitled to one sense I didnt cancel my auto pay only my service. 10 minutes or so going back and forth trying to make sense of how they were in the right to keep money they received in error. The supervisor was not available but after my second time asking for one she said I could expect a refund in 4-6 weeks. This is unacceptable and super sketchy. Gfl please fix whatever policy or procedure got us to this place.

      The *** of my neighborhood ************* have made GFL the neighborhood garbage disposal service company. GFL charge every three months and for my convenience I set my GFL account for auto payment so I wouldn't be late with that bill. The last charge GFL made to my credit card was on August 17 2024 for the amount of $ *****, yet I haven't received the service for the last three scheduled service days. On multiple ocasions GFL just fail to past by to pick up the neighborhood trash not only my own and never made reimbursement/adjustment for that, so with the most recent three days of no service they charge me for in advance and didn't provide me with the service, it reached my boiling point. I made a phone call to them requesting to pick up my trash. They see my account is fully paid for, thwy could have called the truck driver and ask to pick up the trash at my address. From personal experience if I or anyone of my colleague make a mistake we are called over the radio to go back to that address and provide the service we offer. GFL must do the same, yet they don't but take the paymant in advance. *** sends a certain colored sticker for the customers to put on on the trash container and when I receive it, I immediately do so before entering my house, yet I haven't received that sticker for some unknown reason for the current three months cycle and GFL didn't pick up my trash despite its paid for in advance just because I don't have the right color sticker. Furthermore, *** refused to provide me with a refund for the amount they charged me with in advance of those three months despite they didn't provide me with their service. They refused to give me an explanation, but only spoke their usual statement they have writen down in a book probably. I ****'t believe such big company as *** does not communicate via radio for such cases as mine and have a dispatch call the driver with an instructions to provide service to the certain address despite the abcence of a sticker.

      Hello, Thank You for taking your time to review my complaint. I recently moved to ** and I contacted GFL Environmental to set up trash pickup services. I made my payment of $213.07 on July 4, 2024. I contacted *** to get my trash bins sent out and they informed me that I didn't need to setup a direct account with them and that the city of ******* will directly charge me. I then began to ask for my refund and they started the refund process on July 5, 2024. I have attached email correspondence with *** and the dates that they were received. I have contacted GFL by phone ***** times in July(7/22,7/29,7/31) to follow up on my refund and was told it would take from 4-7 weeks to process. I then contacted *** again on August 14th and August 19th and was told the same story about the long processing time. I then contacted *** again on August 28th @1:47pm and they told me that because I paid by check that the refund would come from the corporate office in ******. As you can see from the attached PDF email, I paid by card which I told her. She insisted I paid by check. I then asked to speak with a supervisor and was told they are out of office today. I once again contacted GFL by phone and spoke with ****** on Friday September 13, 2024 at 1:43 pm. She informed me that she wasn't sure what the status of my refund was. I then asked to speak with a supervisor and she told me I wasn't able to, I mentioned contacting the BBB and then she said she would speak to her supervisor. This is all recorded by them. When she got back on the line she told me that she will have the supervisor contact me. I then asked to speak to her supervisor again and she said they are in a meeting. I have been given the run around for to long. I have also been give multiple account numbers as you can see from my attached files. This corporation is the only trash collection company we are allowed to use in my housing development and this type of customer service is uncalled for. PLEASE HELP!!!

      We show the customers refund was processed, and the funds placed back on her credit card on or around 9/17/2024. We do ask that they allow 3-5 days for those funds to appear in their account.

      GFL Environmental Services on several occasions has not picked up the trash at my residence nor my neighbors on the private ***************************************, *******. I've called to inquire about this and the problem persists.

      On Friday, 9/6/24 trash cans were taken due to billing error on GFLs part. I was double charged. After numerous calls requesting to speak to a manager, I was advised on Friday, Monday and Tuesday that a manager would contact me within 24 to 48 hours and I have yet to hear from anyoneand it 9/12/24. Making matters worse, there was supposed to be a request put in to expedite the delivery of my containers, and they still have not been returned almost a week later. I have spoken with a few people in corporate office, but since then, nothing has happened and I have not heard from anyone. This company has to be the most unprofessional business I have ever encountered. Ive stated that I feel like this is intentional, because this business knows that our subdivision only have two options for sanitation services, which is why customer service is so poor and there is lack of urgency. I hate that they are 1 of 2 options for services.

      I called GFL on 9-9-2024 to cancel my contract. I was cut off in the transfer process twice. I called back and asked for the account manager's direct number which I did not get, and on the 3rd attempt told me that person was out of the office until 9-11-2024. I was further told I would have to call back on 9-11-2024 to speak to the account manager to cancel. I asked to speak to someone who could process my request today (9-9-2024) to avoid further billing. I was then told they would pass it along and someone would call me back. I received no call back. On 9-10-2024, I called back and asked to speak to a supervisor. I was told this was not possible - that it was GFL policy to put in a request to have a supervisor call me back. I told them that was unacceptable and that I would hold until they could get a live person on the line who could help me. I recounted the prior day of calls to no avail. The young lady (********) then told me again that was not possible, that it was GFL policy... At this point, I told her to put in that request and that I was going to file complaints with the NC Attorney General and the BBB. I need help! I was a business major in college and have worked in the corporate world for 30+ years. This is not good business! As a consumer, I should be able to cancel my account (that I've had for many years) when I call the company. I have run out of options, thus this complaint. I have gone into my account online and deleted my autopay information so the company can no longer bill me. If it does, I will be filing another complaint because I have done everything in my power to cancel and GFL has done everything in its power to not allow me to do this basic consumer act. Please hold this company accountable. So many businesses today are falling prey to not good faith customer service. It is not right and should not be accepted by anyone. Thank you.

      *** has not picked up my residential trash for more than a month. On 31JUL2024 I signed up for trash removal services. That same day I was charged and paid $134.19. A container was delivered to my home about a week after that. On 23AUG2024 I called because my container had not been picked up. *** issued me a credit on my future invoice and said my trash would be picked on the next pick up day. On 03SEP2024 I called because my container had not been picked up. I asked to me called back as to the reason why. *** did not call me back. On 07SEP2024 a GFL truck drove past my home and did not stop. On 09SEP2024 I called to close my account and demand a refund. I had to call three times. The first time I was on hold for two minutes before I hung up. The second time I was on hold for six minutes before someone picked up and disconnected me. The third time I got through. I was told that they will not refund my money in spite of the fact that my trash has never been removed by them.

      We have trash services through GFL environmental. It is not our choice, but rather a decision made by the company (Conservice) that our property management team has contracted. I have reached out to the responsible parties numerous times over the last few weeks. Our trash was last picked up on 8/21/24. It is now going on 3 weeks with no services being rendered. We keep getting the runaround whenever we reach out to someone. All we want is for GFL to honor their end and provide the service that is being paid for.
