I have called this business 7 or 8 times over the course of this last month trying to get a replacement trash bin. They always just say its scheduled for next week and then it never comes then they pulled a it was already delivered and we still had not received it. I told them it was not delivered to my house and that it may have been taken someplace else. 4 people have said they would look into it and call me back and not one person has tried to contact me. So on October 1st I called to cancel my service as GFL OBVIOUSLY doesnt care about its customers. They said a supervisor would call me back in 5 minutes and the issue would be taken care of THAT DAY. Nobody called. No new trash bin. No surprise there. The customer service of this is lacking.Business Response

*** continues to skip scheduled weekly trash removal and never want to credit the consumer for missed service. This has become a weekly occurrence with no explanation. I have made repeated phone calls to the company at least 3x weekly to arrange alternate pick *** but they never show up as promised. The company lies to its customers telling them they will reschedule a pick up day and they never do. We have gotten in trouble with our HOA for having our trash at the curb for days at a time waiting for a promised pick up. We are fed up with GFL.Business Response

Ive had weekly dumpster service for many years. As a matter of fact, my dumpster still had the emblem from an old company that *** purchased in 2020. They never updated my dumpster to reflect their name. Furthermore, *** had multiple complaints since then of my dumpster not getting serviced as scheduled weekly. Most recently, I called to complain in July about the lid being completely broken off the dumpster and laying on the ground next to the dumpster. Several calls later, the lid still remained broken with no service being done to it. Last week I called again and was promised a call back to a service date to swap out my dumpster. No call.!!! I called again threatening to cancel service and another promise of a call back. Nothing!! So I contacted them again telling yhem to discontinue my service. The *** said that a salesman would reach out to me to process canceling service. Meanwhile, I acquired another company to handle trash disposal. My new dumpster showed up and I once again, called yesterday to ask them to remove their dumpster. Today! I received a call from their arrogant salesman ***. He explained to me that Im stuck in a contract that isnt going anywhere!! I asked to talk to his supervisor and he said hes the boss and his dumpster isnt going anywhere and I will be liable to pay for this dumpster. After he hung up on me, I called the office back demanding a phone call back and explaining how arrogant their salesman *** is. I expect this dumpster removed by Oct 1, 2024 or I will have a towing service remove it to be stored at their cost until they ick it up.Business Response

The dumpster on the property was serviced as scheduled. The repair of the dumpster was completed on 6/19/24. There was a replacement dumpster provided to the customer on 9/23/24. The customer still wanted to cancel their services at that point, so the agreement in place was subsequently cancelled. Therefore, the customer is liable for the liquidation charges from cancelling the contract prior to the contracted expiration date. I am rejecting this response because: I have camera footage from June until the dumpster was replaced. The entire lid assembly was on the ground next to the dumpster until the day they replaced the dumpster after I canceled service. The management and service of GFL is obviously not reputable. As well as their arrogant salesman “Joe” who isn’t capable of selling anything. I will say that the girl that finally called me to answer to “Joe’s” attitude problem, was professional. She also said my contract was void and I had no liability for any costs. As for me being in a contract, I had a contract that was with Advanced Disposal until they were bought out by GFL in 2020. I never signed anything with GFL. If I receive any further billing from GFL, I will absolutely contact my attorney as well as Fox 6 news to report GFL. As being a business owner for over 30 years, I am familiar with most the local businesses in Kenosha. I will also contact every business I see that utilizes GFL for disposal services and let them know what terrible service and salespeople I’ve dealt with.

The trash collection is inconsistent. We have cardboard pulling up and they are not picking it up. They only pick up recycling every other week and on the day of recycling pick up they left all of the recycling. We called and informed them of the issue and they informed us they would pick up the next day but they never came. This is the only provider on the area so we are subject them picking up trash whenever they want. Now I have to find a way to get rid of all of my recycling as they cannot be stored in my garage. This is a huge inconvenience.Business Response

I have had GFL environmental as a trash collector on my property since 2009. This past summer they failed to collect many weeks of trash. Every time I was told different things by their customer service rep. ***** would usually just sit till the next week piling up. I would take the trash to the dump myself but they still charged me the full price. This past week I had enough. I called to ****** my contract for breach of agreement. I was told to call an account manager named **** ***********. ************. I had never heard of an account manager the numerous times I called until I was done with their failed services. He proceeds to tell me that my original contract was for 2 years from 2009. That they were supposed to contact me every year for an updated agreement and to notify me of the new charges/rates. This has never happened. He assures me that he will make sure that my trash is not missed in the future. This week, he sent me new contracts for 3 years. This week my trash was once again missed! His response now is that I need to prove my trash was missed. That I need to prove all my dates called because their records do not show anything. This all is a big lie. He is saying that its not their fault and that their customer service would never neglect to document their failings. Only further protecting their interests as a company. They have supervisors that can drive around and check collections. This is not my job to be their quality control. **** is also telling me that if I cancel my contract, I am responsible for $5000 in liquidation charges. This is unacceptable. We have no contract. They have altered their own contract by failure to fill the term. In ********, I am to be notified 60 days prior to a contract renewal. These people act in ethically dark ways and knowingly violate the laws.Business Response

On Monday August 12th at about ***** am I changed my license plate to a personalized plate and took pictures to share with my sister. Trash day in ****** Oklahoma is on Mondays. The trash cans were 8 ft from the back of my vehicle. Around 2:45 the trash truck came and dumped the cans. My son gets out if school at 3:15 and I went to get in my car to go pick him up and I seen the trash can smashed up against the back. I took pictures immediately and when I moved thw can I seen how much damage they caused all the pictures provided are dated and time stamped automatically by my device. I picked my son up from school andncontacted city hall and the ** gave me the trash company's number. I took over a week and a half for them to respond. They came out took pictures and I didn't hear anything back for another month. When I did they gave me the number to their insurance adjuster who I tried to reach for over a week with no response. Her name is ********** *****. She said my claim is getting denied because of lack of evidence. The photo show their was no damage to the back of my car just hours prior. They claimed they was waiting on dash cam footage and then denied having a dash cam and said even if they did its only forward facing. The evidence I provided is more then enough to see that the damage done to the back of my car was caused by the trash can hitting the back of the car. I don't feel like this is how people should be treated and they need to be held accountable for the damages they created.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: It's no longer an open claim. It's been closed. The insurance agency/adjuster ********** ***** said they denied my claim due to lack of evidence when all the evidence I provided was dated and time stamped the morning of, befor the damage and that afternoon the damaged took place. The trash can had turquoise paint on the can and all the paint scrapped off the back of my vehicle. I had to move their trash can to back out to go get my son from school. My car hadn't moved from where it was parked that morning with the trash cans 8 ft from the back. There is no excuse for this to be denied with dated and time stamped photos befor and after and my bumper not being fixed from the damages they caused. My vehicle has never been wrecked and its a 1992 in near mint condition up until August 12th at 2:45 pm when they came to dump the trash. The only reason I even had pictures of the back of my ar from that morning is because I changed my license plate to a personalized plate and I took a picture to share with my sister. But I turns out it's a good thing I took that picture. I just want them to do the right thing and fix what they damaged.

After a thorough review, the insurance company determined that GFL was not at fault for the incident. As a result, they decided not to cover the costs for the repairs to the customers vehicle.

I am rejecting this response because: They did cause the damage. It wasn't there that morning and that afternoon I moved their trash can off the back of my car and seen the damage right where the can was, nowhere else, just exactly where their trash can was. They claimed they have dash cam footage that would show what took place that afternoon and then they claimed they didn't have a dash cam. They've lied and got away with it on multiple people's property around konawa and that's why they were fired for trash service in the town of ******. They was always wreckless with multiple complaints every single Monday of damaged property, broken trash cans, trash all over after being dumped. I sent so much proof showing they did damage my vehicle and they were able to show absolutely nothing proving they didn't damage my vehicle. They were fired for this exact reason so I wish the best of luck to them in their future and this is why businesses such as themselves fail.

I overpaid on this account due to employee taking 2 payments instead of 1 . Instead of only taking 1 payment 2 were taken out. I mailed a payment and then called and they told me if I didnt pay they would cancel service. When the check arrived I was told I would receive a refund. I have not received the refund and the credit has been taken off my account. I am told I cant get phone number of the office that would refund me. Started service with the company *** in Nov 2023. See ice was canceled previously by company in August. Restarted service in Sept and paid $69 for the months of July, August, and Sept as well as a late fee $5 and $35 can redelivery fee. Can was never delivered and I received zero service from Aug16-Sept25. Company stated they would only refund for the can delivery saying since I didn't have a can they could not pick up. The reason was they did not redeliver the can in a timely manner but are not willing to refund for the weeks that were paid for from Aug16-Sept25 initially they still charged me fraudulently for a service I never received. Rep ****** decided that I was stupid and because I didn't receive service for Sept I was not entitled to a refund even though I paid for that service. *** repeatedly did not pick up and would not issue a credit for the times missed as well as charging an additional $20 in January stating that even though I started and paid for service mid month I still owed a prorated amount for January.
