I booked a Nashville tour through VacationsMadeEasy.com for which I was charged $118.32 on 5/18/2023.
Upon arrival in Nashville, VacationsMadeEasy.com sent an email notifying me that I had to pick up the tour voucher from their Customer Center. I called them to verify this requirement, explained that my hotel is no where near their location, and that I would incur expenses to and from there just to pick up a paper that I could easily be sent to me via email, or other on-line method. The representative confirmed:
I needed to appear to get the vouchers.(lie)
The voucher could not be provided any other way. (lie)
The voucher was needed to take the tour. (lie)
Upon arrival at the Customer Center, their representative tried to sell me other things like trolly tours, and other vacation discounts, if I'd take a 1 1/2 hr. tour of the property. I then realized this was time-share operation. I explained that I had no interest in time-share- I just wanted my voucher for the tour I purchased. He was relentless until I got very firm in my request from my tour voucher, which he finally handed over, and I left.
I then got another email from VacationsMadeEasy.com. thanking me for picking up the voucher, and should I misplace it, I could get it online!
On the day of the tour, I met my guide, and briefly expressed my frustration over having to be subjected to a time-share sales pitch in order to pick up a paper voucher. I learned the tour is actually provided by localtasteofnashville.com, without the time-share sales pitch, and for only $72! And the final kick in the butt was that the voucher was NOT needed to take the tour as the guide had my name.
here are my issues with VacationsMadeEasy.com:
They would not provide the voucher electronically .
They lied to me when I called them.
Their business practice is to subject me to their time-share sales pitch.
I incurred Uber fares to and from their Customer Center.
I wasted 1 1/2 hrs. of my valuable vacation time to pick up a piece of paper.
Only, after my appearance, was I provided with an online line method to get the voucher.
VacationsMadeEasy.com booked the tour through localtastedofnashville.com and charged me $46.32 additional. This is evidenced by the tour name on the voucher 'The Gulch/Union Station' which is how the tours is named on the localtastesofnashville.com VacationsMadeEasy.com lists the same tour as 'Taste of the Gulch-The Gulch/Union Station'.
The voucher was never requested of my, nor was it needed for me to take a the tour.
I must add this letter that the tour itself was wonderful-the guide from localtaskesofanshville.com was very informative, a lot of fun, and I thoroughly enjoyed every minute. I will highly recommend his tour on localtastesofnashville.com. And I will post this story wherever I can find places to review vacationmadeeasy.com.
Considering the above, I seeking compensation from vacationsmadeeasy.com for:
$21.95 for the Uber from my hotel to their Customer Center( receipt attached)
$20.93 for the Uber fare back. (receipt attached)
$46.32 for the overcharge of the tour price (see the tour price listed on localtastesofnashville.com vs. the tour price on vacationsmadeeasy.com made me waste on picking up the vouchers.

We purchased tickets for Dolphin Sight Seeing Cruise for June 24, 2023 at 2:30 p.m. The Vacations Made Easy website and customer service representative make the statement that seeing dolphins is guaranteed. We did not see any dolphins and expected to receive our money back since this is a guarantee they make. I was told when I contacted them on 6/27/2023 asking for a refund that they don't refund, they only give you tickets for another cruise. We were only in town for 3 days and were unable to go at another time. No where can I find where the guarantee is only for a different cruise and not a refund. My order number was ******* and I paid for 3 adults and 2 children.

They charged for dates never purchased and charged twice to my card without permission for tickets never received at a fake voucher location on a very shady booth who can not fix the problems of wrong tickets. If you want tickets you will never even get the boat tour you are trying to achieve originally. If you ask for money back they refuse and say will send a paper certificate. I had to report fraud for purchase I never made for dates I never purchased. And Norton anti virus pop up’s at least 16 emails with pop up’s for Norton not ever any for my tickets.

On June 19th, I reserved a room (Order #*******) at **** ******* ****** ***** ***. I did not want to attend any of the shows that were part of the offer. I decided on the next day to cancel my reservation at the hotel. The operator said there was 2 options. 1.) Take a gift certificate (that I thought would also cover hotel accommodations) and 2.) Refund of booking minus 65% of what I paid. I chose option 1 in the belief that this would cover hotel accommodations at any of their locations in the US. I received in the mail a gift certificate to Branson shows and not a refund in kind for any hotel accommodations at any of their locations throughout the US.

I believe I was misled in their refund policy, that amounted to $199.66.

I went through vacation made easy to buy 3 adult tickets for Dixie Stampede. They double booked my reservation. Charged me for 6 tickets. Extra $250.82. Now they are saying they won't refund my money. I talked to two different people at the Dixie Stampede they told me it was a double booked. Vacation made easy is saying it's too late to refund my money. If I would have gotten 6 tickets that night I would have knew something was wrong and took care of it then.

On April 10, 2023 I attempted to book two nights at the ***** ** **********, April 11 and 12, 2023. The online service was a bit user unfriendly and a mistake was made, that being a 3rd night was showing up. In efforts to have to mistake corrected, I immediately called the Booking Agent (Vacations made Easy *** *** ***** and spoke to different people who referred me to *****. One has to listen to a recording asking callers to be polite, professional and that they know the caller is upset. Instantly I knew I was dealing with an unscrupulous company who has employed people just to handle tons of angry customers. I explained multiple times that I wanted two nights, not three, specifically, I did not want April 13th, and begged them to take it off my bill. They told me they couldn't unless the Hotel refunded the charge. I called the Hotel immediately and spoke to **** who said the Booking Agent, and Only the booking agent, need to call and cancel the room for April 13th. No problems. Somehow, I feel every excuse for not refunding/not charging me for a third night I did not want was a total lie. I felt like and still do feel like I was dealing with an unscrupulous company, many of which you can immediately tell English is not their first language. No telling what country these people were in that I was talking to. They all seemed to be polite, but trained to say "no" and offer excuses that proved to me to be false, lies. These people are taking advantage of people, many like myself (age 69) are seniors that can make simple (but correctable) mistakes on line. It is impossible for me to understand why they would let the reputation of their company suffer like this over such small details easy to fix, but prefer, in my opinion, to rob the elderly. And.... they refuse to provide me with an itemized bill detailing how much they charged me for April 13th, 2023. They only provided a lump sum charge. The over charge is $179.40.

The consumer utilized our online ordering system on 04/10/2023 at 6:38PM  agreeing to our terms of sale which state, orders inside 48 hours of first scheduled reservation

are non cancelable. No refunds or credits can be given inside 48 hours of first scheduled reservation.   The consumer called and spoke with a supervisor regarding

the hotel  and date for one of the shows.  We were unable to get the date corrected on the show.  We wee not able to cancel  the last night of the consumer's

hotel reservation. Due  to the customer satisfaction we have refunded the order in full.

I'm not sure I understand the response of Vacations made easy. Are they saying I will be getting a full refund of over $700? While I do think I have been treated terrible, I only asked not to be charged one night I was erroneously billed.

      Thank you for getting clarity.

To be clear, the response promised is quite acceptable, and far more than I asked for. But it's now 4 days after the promised refund and no refund has been credited to my credit card. I called my credit card company and they see nothing either.   I respectfully ask that the Better Business Bureau keep this open until I received the promised refund.

      Thank You

Heading to Nashville in a few weeks. I purchased two tickets this morning 3/15 to the ***** ** **** show in April 1st. When I called the person I was going with they told me they got some last night and was going to let me know today. Within 8 minutes of the purchase I called the company to explain and cancel my order. I was told per their policy I could only get 65 percent refunded or 100 percent refunded on a gift card. I explained it had been ten minutes and I wanted to cancel. After a round about I was transferred to a supervisor who told me she would go outside of the policy to give me 90 percent back. I questioned why can’t I get a full refunded when I just purchased and want to cancel. She continued to quote policy so I asked why can she go outside of policy and give me 90 percent but not a full refund. She was rude and it came across as a scam.
