    I was having a radiator cooling issue, when I took it in I was told that I need a new engine as a result of the cooling problem. Car Shield refused to cover the cost of the engine, but only the initial cooling problem and I am now expected to come out of pocket approximately $6,000 for the new engine replacement as the shop says replacing just the head gaskets will not fix the problem. A Car Shield adjuster called me and said they are not paying for it so Take it or Leave it but they are not covering the engine cost. The adjuster even refused to send an Inspector (which I requested at least three times) to verify the information given to them by the repair shop was accurate. I was told that it was not necessary and that they go by what the repair shop tells them. So why have inspectors?? I feel taken advantage of, mis-informed and left with no options, after 3 years of being loyal customer.

    By far the worst experience I have had with any company, file a claim, they take 1 week to get an adjuster to look at the car, then my mechanic spends 90 minutes on the phone with an adjuster about the transmission flush and service that happened 2 months before, explains all that was done and when with all service records, then gets into an argument about why they didnt replace the transmission then when the service performed removed the shutter completely for 2 and half months, which was what ****** recommended. We hear nothing for 3 days call back, and then a new person says the previous person screwed the claim up and what he said didnt make sense we spend another 90 minutes on the phone with the new guy answer all the same questions he says this will resolve it, you will hear later that day to move forward, 72 hours later crickets, so I call in again get another person who tells me they need to know when the issue was first detected which was addressed twice to two different adjusters, on 2 separate 1 hour plus calls. While I am on with her, I get another call from another person asking me the same question that my mechanic answered and myself answered. We are 3 weeks in my daughter doesnt have her car at college and having to use mine so I dont have a car, this is completely unacceptable.

    June 2nd, 2025, I sent a letter to cancel my subscription to Car Shield due to me selling my car. I did it within the time frame for them not to charge my card for the monthly fee. 2 months they have colllected the fee and now they are telling me that they can not refund me the funds that they did not have the right to. In July I sent them a message via their "Contact Us" and they never responded. I finally called them in August after they again took the funds out of my card and they apologized that they can not refund me. Try they refuse to refund me. I had to cancel my credit card so that they will no longer take funds from me for an account that I cancelled in the proper manner. They did the same thing to my husband so I took the extra steps so they would not do the same thing to me and they still did it. I refuse to ever purchase this company warrantees again and anyone using them or promoting them, should be ashamed.

    CarShield refused to cover a turbo repair when the turbo went out on my truck. They kept stalling by asking for more information that they already had and said the repair facility refused to send the necessary info to them. Run as fast as you can away from this company! They certainly dont want to save you as they say in their ads.

Based on this review records indicate that a claim was started. However, a diagnosis and estimate for the needed repairs was never received. The claim was marked inactive. No actions could be taken without a diagnosis and estimate for repairs to adjudicate the claim according to the terms of the *************** Contract. - Customer Relations

    MY SUNROOF STUCK OPEN IN THE MIDDLE OF THE FLORIDA RAINY SEASON. IT GOT FIXED WITH NO PROBLEMS AT THE DEALER IN SPITE OF THE CAR BEING 10 YEARS OLD. THAT'S WHAT I'M PAYING FOR AND THAT'S WHAT I RECEIVED! GOOD SERVICE.

    Made my first claim with Car Shield. Took my RAM 2500 to the dealership due to a check engine light, faulty actuator no communication with turbo charger. Dealership called Car Shield and everything was taken care of, I recieved text msg and phone call of status of repair from Car shield. Picked up my vehicle week later. Everything went very smooth. I am a very satisfied customer, and will continue to use **********************.
