1 starOn May 15, 2024, I reached the airport at 11:30 and discovered that my car rental reservation was canceled because the location had closed by the time the plane landed. So I went to the Enterprise rental car at the airport with my son and my mom at 11:30 and asked them to help me rent a car. One of the representatives quoted me $500, while I had rented one for $250. I tried to find a car from the same site I had rented from before, but the system was not working. I went back to them and asked them to rent me a car. One of the representatives exploited the situation and tried to rent me a car for $600. I asked her/him to rent it to me since it was almost midnight and I still had an hour of driving. She/he was very rude and intimidated me by saying that if I returned the car to a different location, they would charge me $700. I had no choice but to accept. I took the car and drove to ********. The next day, I went to the nearest location to drop off the car as it was too expensive for me and picked up another cheaper car. When I came back to *****, I called Enterprise to file a complaint and ask for compensation for the threat and abuse I experienced. No one responded or contacted me for three weeks. So I disputed the charges and they agreed with my bank to resolve it and refunded the money to me. On the same day, they sent me a second notice saying I had a balance to pay. called them and they told me that after they resolved the dispute i placed with my bank they looked back and found out that i need to pay the balance and they will run after me until i pay , however i have dispute resolotion between my bank and enterpriseReview fromFERNANDA D

1 starThis review is to alert clients who rent cars from Enterprise Rent-A-Car. I rented a car from their office at **************************************************, from November 6 to the 21st.2023. I returned the car to ***************************** where my car was repaired. An employee at ****** inspected the rental car and in writing confirmed rental returned, inspected, no damage, gas returned on full. Several days later, I started receiving calls,emails and correspondence claiming I had returned the rental car damaged, and demanded I pay close to $800.00 for repairs . These calls , emails and correspondence continued in escalation for over 7 months! They caused so much stress and inconvenience to me, then they turned to my car ****************** claiming damages and demanding payment from them. My ***************** refuted the bogus claim and denied any payment to Enterprise. Enterprise started harassing me again, so I called my ***************** and asked them to fight on my behalf again.Finally on June 5th I received a call from my ***************** informing me that they were able to close the case against me. From the very beginning all the documents were provided to Enterprise showing the car was returned in good condition. This was a case of harassing scam on behalf of Enterprise trying to extort money from me. This was a horrible experience, just want every one to be aware , take pictures before and after every rental , and dont allow the rental Company to make bogus claims for something you have not done. 3 starsThe mgr, offered a three day liability coverage that I could extend if I called back in. I didnt call as he told me yet I billed liability for the endurance of the rental. Called to speak to the manager and they kept saying the internet was down. One said not to call me they would call me back. They never called me back that was over two weeks ago. They charged me $199. They said this is not their usual practice, so I figured the manager was just doing it as a courtesy after my pain and suffering after being rear ended in a collision days before my rental. I wasnt even given the decency of a promised return call. Im disappointed in that because the manager was very kind to me at the beginning of my rental.Review fromBenjamin G

1 starThis place is a joke. Twice I've rented from this location due to having bodywork done on vehicles. Twice they have given me the run-around when it came to vehicles available, cost, cleanliness of the vehicles, etc. The vehicle I'm currently in, **** **150, was FILTHY when I arrived to pick it up. They made me wait an additional 30 minutes for them to "clean it". I've seen 2-year olds clean better then what came back. But, okay....took the truck and made due. (It took me a good 2 hours to wipe down the dash and insides to get rid of the sticky substance that was coating the steering wheel, most of the dash, and cup holders. Also, received the truck smelling like an ash tray.)About 2 days into having the truck, the A/C cut out (it has some trigger that cuts the fan speed down when you receive or make a phone call). In this instance, the A/C cut off completely and WOULD NOT TURN BACK ON. I drove the 2-hours from my work site back to my house with no A/C on a 100 degree day. I called Enterprise in ******** and was told, "I'm so sorry, we have no available vehicles to trade you into." "Why don't you call around to other stores and find another truck?" Why should I, the customer, be responsible for finding a replacement for their problems? I finally called the ***** number and got their main customer support hotline. SHE at least looked on the computer to find me a similar vehicle....which was not going to be available for 3 days! I let the **150 I was in sit overnight and restarted it. Miraculously the A/C started working again. (Online research showed there is a flaw in the digital trigger that sometimes locks out the A/C...solution is to let it sit and restart the vehicle after a few hours.)I was called and asked to return my vehicle earlier than the date set by insurance because they were "short" vehicles. I asked for compensation in lieu. They stated, "Nevermind...just keep it. **sighhhhhhh**" Avoid this place at all cost!Review fromMartha B

1 starWhen I returned my rental car to the ********, ** location, I accidentally left my disabled parking placard above the passenger visor. I noticed it about an hour later and attempted to call them only to be routed to a national call center who told me that there was no way to contact them directlythat I had to log a lost item report online. So I returned to the rental counter and the car was already gone. I explained the situation and would you believe that the agents could not locate the vehicle? Less than an hour and a half after I turned it in? After waiting half an hour for them to unsuccessfully track it down, the agent took my name and telephone number and said she would call me when they found it. Its over a week later, and I still havent heard anything. How hard is it to find the car I rented, get the disabled placard from above the visor and return it to the rental counter? Were talking about a small citynot ********* or *******! And I did go online and filed a lost item report as instructed and received a response back that the location involved only handled their last and found online along with the same link I had used to file THIS report! 1 starVery rude front desk lady. 2 days in a row I was given a vehicle that was bad. The first one had lights come on with Warning and malfunction lighting up the dashboard while I'm driving on the highway in rain. I got pulled over because apparently there were dead tags on the car also. Tried to get help with the rental and nobody helped me. I was told to keep it until the branch opened again thr next morning. I had to order a Lyft to make it to work. I couldn't drive the car I rented. Then she was very dis inside and said "I'm not dealing with this because I'm busy". Today I went to get a different rental and they gave me a car with bad brakes. Grinding noises and perking. I took it back literally 15 mins later *** got the same lady with attitude again. She said " why do you have so many complaints. I'm too tired for this". Literally talking down to me. Threw me some keys and told me to go find the next car on my own in their parking lot. Got in the car and it's on empty. She and the other employer locked the door and left. I was left sitting in the car with very little gas and it was dirty. She acted like I was such a bother. Her smart remarks and then didn't even go get the car. Her customer service was horrible and I plan on telling my company that I work for and the company I own never to use this Enterprise again. So disrespectful and apparently nobody bothers to maintenence these cars . And apparently you bother them when you have a concern or are given a bad car by them. I was given the run around and even told to drive the car to the airport for a new car when I blatantly told them about the malfunctioning of the car and all the warning lights that kept coming on. I have never been treated so badly and with such contempt and rudeness in my life. To allow an employee to work like that for you doesn't show much faith in your company. I would never allow it. 1 starHorrendous **************** and Lack of Resolution I am deeply disappointed by the service I received from Enterprise Rent-A-Car in *******, *******. On 7/7/2024, my rental car broke down on US Highway 20, and what followed was a nightmare of poor customer service and complete disregard for customer well-being.Despite promptly contacting Enterprise, it took over six hours for a tow truck to arrive, leaving us stranded in dangerous conditions. Throughout this ordeal, I made over 30 phone calls, visited in-person locations (where I was similarly dismissed), and even resorted to reaching out via emailall with zero response or resolution.The treatment I received from Enterprise's customer service representatives was appalling. They were rude, unhelpful, and even hung up on me during desperate attempts to secure assistance. This lack of professionalism exacerbated an already stressful situation.Despite multiple attempts to resolve the issue directly with Enterprise, they have shown no willingness to address my concerns or provide any form of compensation for the distress caused. This experience has left me feeling taken advantage of and deeply dissatisfied with Enterprise's lack of accountability and customer care.I have since escalated this matter to my credit card company, legal advisors, and am filing this complaint with the BBB to ensure that other consumers are aware of the risks associated with renting from Enterprise in ********** conclusion, I urge potential customers to reconsider renting from ********************** based on my experience. 1 starWhat a disappointment. We are leaving in less than 24 hours, traveling with 8 people. My Mother paid to rent a ******** and went to pick it up and THEY DO NOT HAVE IT. Good thing it was just an easier way for us to travel and not a necessity. Awful business!Review fromCorbin M

1 starrented a vehicle from the ******* location on Wednesday june 26th 2024, they were great then, worked with us on moving around the rental time because of reasons. returned it BEFORE THE REQUIRED TIME on Thursday, june 27th 2024, to the ************** location. they didn't check it in apparently until Monday, July 1st 2024 and charged us for THEIR mistake. And now between them, their coprerate office, and the ******* location no one is taking calls, no one knows where the refund is and this is a crock. i highly advise against using enterprise, their policies are trash (no ability to have a 2nd person who will not be driving being able to back the fees? what a crock), and they apparently will out right steal your money. left this same review on both locations.Review fromDoug M

1 starCalled in at 11am to "rent a car", booked reservation for 5 days. Got a ride from co-worker, drove across KC only to get a call 5 minutes from Store (Merriam) saying- "We have no cars available, you should call a local Lenexa Enterprise store?". THAT is C*** ***************** all on top of having a ripped up knee? NEVER will our family use Enterprise Shiite show again!!! Horrible customer service at BEST!
