      I had my taxes down at a local office because of problems last year. Chose them after hearing their advertisements of free returns. However, I got a wake up call at the end of the appointment - very expensive visit to input four pieces of paper. And at that, I wasn't asked questions - it was like they wanted me out of there - questions I did asked were not answered. Got home and did some digging to find out the free stuff was mostly contained to online submissions. These people are nothing more than scam artists using false advertising as their lure.

      My tax prep person was very professional but the lies that this company spreads is ridiculous and the extra hidden fees and tax prep fees are around 600 dollars I also referred them a new client I was promised a 20 dollar gift card which I never got and the emerald card is a total scam just greedy charging all those extra fees one atm withdraw cost me 11 dollars and I still haven't got my federal taxes and the irs approved and sent them on February 19 my emerald card app says that my funds are on card but my balance is zero and when I called the 800 number on back of card they tell me I won't have my money for 2 more days on Monday I don't recommend h and r block at all unless they do some major changes and quit telling lies

      Trash still no tax return in its been over 3 weeks in I still have to pay for a tax return I did myself it's a scam

      Paso Robles, Ca office. Had taxes done and explained changed from Scorpio to LLC. She filed incorrect ein on buss and never explained anything. Passed me on to someone else and he spoke rudely. No follow up. She also had me send a pymnt which was returned and gave no reason for it. Also, did our personal taxes and was to do some back tax corrections that would benefit us but we never heard from her again anything about it. 6 months later, with new tax preparer, advised how to receive my refund from their large error.

      Williamsburg KY has the worst tax pros I've seen even worse than Hewitt's. U will not be scheduling me for five minutes and charging me 200+ anymore. I'll turbo tax and come out better u bunch of robbers. Don't use h&r in Williamsburg

      I had an appt on Monday Feb 10, 2025. I was going formed that there was not anyone in the building that was authorized to complete a state return for Oregon and another employee would be contacted to complete this. I was informed I would be called later in the day to sign the documents. I gave my name and number to an employee. By that Friday I had not been contacted. When I went the the office, the employee that had said he would contact me, the one I had given my name and number to on Monday, told me everything was completed and filed. I asked for someone to check because I had not signed anything. When an employee checked it had not been completed and nothing had been done towards completing my return. I was then told the documents had been sent to someone and would be completed by 2pm. This was prior to noon. I said I would wait in the office. After 1230 I was told the person that I was told was completing my Oregon return was not, because he had not been imputed into the system to do this. I was then told it was sent to someone else. I am still waiting 4 days later to have my return completed. Currently I am sitting in the windowsill, no chairs in the area, waiting to find out what is going on. I would give 0 stars

      Horrible service I went in just to get my advance. Hopefully, I was gonna get that on the day that I went in their computers were glitching.Nobody informed me of this glitch. My application was never submitted for my advance. They charge me $400 knowing that I wanted the vans and I didn’t even a shot to get it I wish I would’ve just did my own taxes I can normally do Then I try to call them. I got a hold of manager. I’ve left several messages. No return calls very rude and had no resolution at all in sight me.

      My accountant retired so I tried the HR Block up the street. It was only a 1040EZ but I like the safety net of having a professional do it. I signed the disclaimers and the tax sheet but I did not look through the paperwork I was given. I assumed a trained CPA could do a 1040EZ. When my direct deposit was late I looked through my paperwork and realized he had my name and account number wrong. I went to HR Block and they told me to see if my bank could accept the deposit anyway and if not to come back the next day. Obviously my bank said they couldn't so I went back to HR Block where I had to tell THEM to pull back my state,fix it, and resubmit. They then told me if I wanted help with the Federal I had to sign a Power of Attorney. To sum up, my refund which should have been in my account on Feb 7th got rejected. I now have to wait till March 3rd for the IRS to send out a paper check and if I don't receive it by April 1st I can call the IRS and try and track it. Do NOT use HR BLOCK! They are grossly incompetent and do NOT stand behind their 100% Accuracy and Satisfaction.

      OMG Soooo Disorganized! Check BBB H&R Block was just sued for $7 million dollars by the FTC for misleading and mistreating customers!! My experience was very time consuming and frustrating. When calling customer service rep "Nicole" had me repeat myself multiple times, obviously was not listening could not confirm 2 appointments I had made in the past 2 weeks, could not find my email nor phone number even though I am receiving emails and texts from H&R Block. I am contemplating trusting them with processing my taxes. Buyer beware. If H&R Block cannot simply schedule appointments, communicate and confirm appointments how will they be responsible for my private information?????? Horrible customer service experience!

      I pay for the upgraded service so I can ask questions. I waited in the queue for over half an hour to get to an agent named Gwendolyn. I told her I had a question about a form and asked if she could answer the question to which she responds "I can try". I had chatted in a couple days prior to ask the same question and after waiting for 45 minutes to be connected with someone they said they had to get me to someone more experienced. I then waited another 20 minutes and the chat didn't even say I was in a queue! So when I talked to Gwendolyn and she wasn't sure she could answer my question, I asked to be transferred to someone that knew my question because I need a confident answer not someone just guessing. I asked to be transferred 4 times and she just wouldn't respond so then I asked to be transfered to a manager, I requested this 3 times and Gwendolyn ended the chat so then I had to start all over again. I have now been back in the queue for another 45 minutes, I keep getting down to 45 or 55 in the queue and then it jumps back up to 110 or 120 in the queue. I have screenshots to prove this. Is H&R Block ok with how their agents are representing their company? Is this how you treat paying customers? I have used H&R Block for years but I will never use them again. I can't believe I am paying to be treated like this by their team members. I understand you guys are busy but there are customers PAYING for this service and our time is valuable. Do better H&R Block and don't have people like Gwendolyn representing your business.
