My car was towed to a salvage yard after the insurance company deemed it a total loss. This happened 07/15/2024. A month has passed and Truwarranty claims that I need a certified odometer reading to cancel the warranty and GAP that covered this car. How in the world due you get a certified odometer reading when the car is in a salvage yard 50 miles away? Time is ticking and I'm losing refund money daily.

What a waste of money. I did a 6 hr drive with my car, parked the car then go out the next day and it didnt want to start. So I called a ****** dealer and had it towed there. Comes to find out it blew a head gasket and needed a new motor. This company wouldnt cover the engine. Not sure how you can sell a warranty for cars and say a motor is covered and then when its time for a motor its magically not covered. So make sure when you buy this warranty you have extra money for a lawyer.

This company should be closed down. I spent thousands of dollars on their warranty. When Chrysler called them to look at the car, they refused to back up their warranty that should have been covered. More recently we tried to get them to cover a new key, which should also be covered but we have been unable to reach anyone. I tried to cancel my warranty with them and have been unable to do that.

Hello ******, This claim was administrated by ********.I have contacted them on your behalf. They made us aware that the key claim on 7/29 has yet to be paid by the dealer. On the engine claim from April, the dealer refused to perform a tear-down, so the claim was closed but never denied. Fortegra will be reaching out to you directly. Thank you,

From the dealership side of it...Our dealership has a substantial amount of refunds owed to us for cancelled contracts. All the while, we are still obligated to get funds to our customers or lien holders, but *** stated they can sit on our money until we sell more of their contracts (cancellation funds would fund those new contracts). *** requested we submit written request to terminate business with them to get our money, otherwise they would just hold our funds and apply them to future sold contracts. We got confirmation 5/30/2024 that our request to terminate was complete and our funds were sent to accounting to process. 6/25/2024 and still no funds refunded to us and responses to our emails and calls to ***'s reps/coordinators are no longer being replied to or followed up by **** ***** silence. We're just waiting on our money that is legally owed to us, and that we've had to pay out of pocket to customer and lienholders. We decided to cut ties with Tru as our customers were being declined coverage on covered claims, just like the 1-star reviews I've read on here. We don't do business with companies that don't stand by their word or behind their product.

************************* Chevrolet has my truck 2022 Silverado 2.7, metal shavings in the oil. True warranty wants me to agree to pay ******* for motor tear down so they can see what has failed. I only would have to pay if they deny the claim. Sounds like the dealer or the warranty company is trying to strong arm me. I have spoke to other dealers regarding what truwarranty is saying and they tell me its crazy and they have never heard of anything like this. Not happy at all with either company

Hello ****, Thank you for your feedback.Regarding your claim, the teardown would only not be covered if the follow-on inspection deems that the failure is related to a lack of lubrication component maintenance. If you have any questions regarding this claim, please contact our team at *********************************

They dont pay out on their claims. I filed a claim. My insurance paid most of the amount. The insurance and finance companies sent the information to the gap company who stalled with saying they received all the information until after 90 days so then they decided not to pay off the remaining amount due to not receiving the information before 90 days. I had no contact from them until I tried to follow up with them and went to appeals but they still declined to pay. This company is a scam and I would not recommend them for anyone to use.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I purchased my 2018 *** 530e and purchased ************* along with an exteneded warranty and service plan thru truwarranty. I made all my payments on my car and was never late. The way ************* was explained is they cover the ***** between the balance owed and the amount paid by the insurance in the case of a total loss. I had a total loss on my car. I filed a claim with truwarranty in which they send an email with a laundry lists of things they need turned in to process the claim. After contacting my insurance, my credit union, the dealership and getting a document notarized I turned everything in on 5/7/24. I had to follow up and follow up to finally get a response on 5/24/24. They are only paying about half of what i owe on the balance. They are not covering the "Gap". I am horribly disappointed with this company and strongly caution everyone to steer away from this company as they are more centered on finding reasons not to pay the claim in full instead of just paying the settlement.

So, let me tell you about my experience with the company. I am not a company who writes ******** reviews for companies. I am a father of 2 with 2 cars in the family. Well now 3 my son's driving now. But I drive an 2018 Audi S5, I was not forced to get this warranty, but asked for it as I do with all of my cars. ***** was no other option offered to me but Truwarranty. Since I've had my I've had to take it to the shop a time or two, and although approval may take a day or two it typically gets approved. By the way I purchased one of the top end ones. The only things that isn't covered on my policy, which I missed at the time, was seals and gaskets. Luckily I haven't had any issues with either, but I've had other issues big and small and they were all taken care of. ***** was one time where they denied my claim stating that the car was previously repaired by another shop although the part failed again. ***** representitive told me exactly what to do which was to talk to the other shop and get their warranty information for the part that they installed. Keep in mind installed parts has a warranty in itself. Yeah, its a pain in the a** to do, but it was covered through them. They also sent the information to the current Audi dealer so that it could be repaired their but with the other shops warranty. I have nothing bad about this company at all. In fact my warranty is about to run out and I'm looking to extend it with them to maintain coverage. I had to say something good about them. They are not a rip off, and remember you get what you pay for. Read what you are purchasing first.

This company is refusing to cover my Audi 2013 with a oil leak. It's covered but they said it's improperly repaired by other place. We bought directly from ******** with Tru Warranty. We only taken it to Audi for Maintenance. So they are trying to find a way to not repair.
