  CarShield is a joke! The first time I tried to use them to cover my car repairs, they approved the service, then told the dealer that it was not approved. I had to pay for the repairs and then file a claim. Then they denied my claim because the service was not approved and then I spoke to another agent who said it was approved and to file a claim for my refund. Had to file 2 claims because they said they didn;t get the first one even though I received a conformation from them. After waiting 2 weeks, called to see if they had issued my refund only for them to tell me that it was too early. I gave them my new address which they said they would update in the system for me. Called 2 weeks later to check refund and was told that refund was issued but to old address. They couldn't tell my why my address change didn't go through. I give them new address for the third time and was assured it would be changed. Would have to wait another 30 days for refund check to be returned and reissued to new address. Called 09/11/2025 for the 4th time only to find out that they still had my old address and the refund check had not come back to them yet. I spoke with ***** in customer service who couldn't understand why I was upset. He made the address change and said I would have to wait another 30days for my refund check to be reissued. Terrible, terrible customer service!! Not worth the frustration and time or money. I have cancelled my policy with them as of yesterday, informed my bank no to allow anymore direct payments to go to them and would strongly recommend nobody sign up for this company for car protection. I will wait to see if my refund is received and if not I will seek other action!!*. ******

  As far as the Dealer Ship goes they were great. But Car Shield should tell you exactly what they cover, because they don't do so. They didn't cover my sun roof and it costs me $200.00 just for them to look at my car. Pretty upset.

  They were no help to me, paid for the coverage 4 years. I would not recommend them, I'm canceling my coverage.

  I called to get a quote, which ended up being $119 a month. I thought this was high. When I asked if he could lower it, the salesmen just went on a 5 minute clip about why it was a good price. When he finally finished, I asked him to send me the quote so I could talk about it with my wife. He said that price is only good for now, if you calll back you may not get it. Very pushy. I agreed to sign up given I had 39 days to cancel without penalty. After talking with my wife we agreed to cancel. I called back 3 days later, only to be greeted by an angry nasty woman who said why the h*** would you cancel you just signed up that makes no sense. When I explained my reasoning she said whatever and hung up the phone. I did get a confirmation email that my policy was canceled, but my goodness am I glad I canceled. I will tell anyone and everyone my experience. Terrible. A side note, when I asked if I needed to keep up with my car maintenance schedule to Keep the coverage, the original salesmen would not give me a straight answer saying we arent in the business of denying claims. *** does that mean.
