      We initially had success for geometry. This year, needing a different tutor for algebra 2, however, has been a nightmare. The online new tutor request does not allow to add the detail needed to get an adequate assignment. Multiple follow up calls directly to discuss. The students needs either yielded tutors, whose ours didnt coincide with the hours provided or, in the last case no response for two weeks. Meanwhile, our student grades are slipping up, I attempted to cancel which required emailing or calling. I chose the former the detailed request for cancellation I provided was met with multiple auto generated responses none of which cancel the service fed up. I called Thanksgiving weekend to cancel finally receiving the cancellation I also requested partial reimbursement for the three prior weeks unused because they didnt assign a tutor. They refused despite it being their error, not ours. So we effectively paid $269 for one tutoring session the first week of the month. I do not recommend.

      Varsity Tutors has been wonderful to work with! Their recommendation on available tutors for a specific subject/age group has been amazing and me (along with my 5th grade daughter) have been pretty happy with the support that they are providing. I also like their automated reminder system that sends email/notifications before every scheduled class, so that we don't forget the sessions. Highly recommend this company!

      Varsity Tutors has been a game changer for my middle school and high school daughters. The frustrating evenings of fighting and crying over homework are drastically reduced by the tutors. The tutors really try to engage and get to know your child and help them as needed. We have have a number of tutors in a variety of subjects, and most of them have been wonderful. It's been easy to navigate any changes through the website or via a call, and their app is also easy to use. Definitely thankful for Various tutors.

      I must be honest in this review and say that it has not been easy navigating the tutoring realm. Just like when trying to find the right fit with school, the same is true for a tutor. We have had several tutors the past 6 months weve been with varsity. A lot of that has to do with my child being an exceptional leaner and tutors not having the skill set to work with someone like him. Varsity has done their best to find the right fit for him. They have always heard my concerns and worked to rectify any issues. We are currently placed with someone who has been wonderful with my kiddo, and its made all the difference.

      Horrible experience with service! Multiple Billing issues, trick me into a membership that was never disclosed to me and now tell me I cant get money back! Did not provide me the service that they sold me. Lied to me, talked to over 30 representatives that offered different information saying the last person didnt know what they were saying. This is a scam not a business! Stay away!

      This company solicited me to take an Excel tutor class in August 2023. I was offered two free sessions for trials. I only took the first free trial session. After the first free trial session, I realized I would be charged way above the price per session, so I did not even take the second free class and immediately canceled the future sessions entirely. Still, I had been bombarded with a soliciting email almost every week. I did not take any Excel class except the 1st trial class. A month later, I was wrongly charged over $700 for the sessions I had never taken. I was shocked and called customer service in September 2023, and she waived the fee. And she begged me to take the $ 9.99-month online class at least to access any course on their online. I told her I was not interested in it. But she insisted so much, and I finally said yes. Then, today, 11/18/2023, I received an email that they've tried to charge me a $594 membership payment. I have no idea what the amount is for. I am shocked and have spoken to two customer service persons. One said He only promised to escalate the issue and gave me the case number when I asked him, and he did not mention when the problem would be resolved. The second time I called customer service, a man with an English accent told me he didn't see any other charge except $9.99. But when I log in to the account, I see I owe them $594 for sessions I have never taken. This company has tried to scam me twice. If this problem continues, I will file a criminal case for their fraudulent activity.

      I am disgusted with Varsity Tutors. In good faith, I signed my daughter up for 1 month of SAT Math tutoring. I only wanted 4 tutoring sessions. I was absolutely shocked to find that they continued billing me after the month was over. I knew it was month to month, but I specifically said I only wanted ONE month. My daughter hasnt logged into the platform since her exam. They are refusing to refund me the over $300 cost despite never using a tutor.and it was only billed 3 days ago. They are a horrible company. There are far better companies who are not in the business of ripping off customers. I am disgusted. Save yourself & go elsewhere.

      Dealing with Varsity Tutors has been a nightmare. Prior to signing up so many things were promised but unfortunately no follow through when it was time to use services. Tutor match took longer than promised and then I wasn't able to schedule a session. After being matched with another tutor, he wasn't available during the times we specified on the matching questionnaire. Representative promised a satisfaction guarantee. Tried calling to cancel membership and request refund just to be told they don't do refunds. This is absolutely absurd! Representatives promise many things without any resolve. Don't waste your money.

      Terrible Service. Tried out instant live tutoring with little success. Tutors were not matched to the subject and wait times were insanely long. Was promised a 100% match and possible reimbursement on call with customer service. Wasted my time and money despite their website promising a satisfaction guarantee. Will be trying to negotiate a partial refund.
