  I signed up my daughter to get varsity tutoring for SAT that she is supposed to take on 6th December not only did you all sell your tutors as highly rated you even got me to sign up for 12 sessions knowing very well that there was only 1 month.
  I have never felt this duped with your service your complete false hopes and the waste of time it’s been to contact you.
  While your first tutor after the 3rd session didn’t even know what grade or math class she was taking, he neither asked her where she needed help nor gave her tough questions to challenge her knowledge or timing. He made her buy 2 books but never used anything or provided instructions I could have had my 10 year old send me a link to Amazon and buy the book I don’t need a $100 tutor to tell me that. He was incoherent in his speech, came to each session like it was their first.
  Then when we asked first for a second tutor she was a young graduate who did one good session and the second session she just dropped mid way through. Said sorry can’t join back in.. no follow up no response. Then we scheduled a session for today at 6 and the tutor never even joined. No request to reschedule no way to contact and zero responsibility.
  My daughter takes her final SAT on 6th December and it was my pure ignorance that I thought your team will support her in her attempt but I’m dissapointed in this whole experience.

  The quality of the education is inconsistent, and the service is extremely pricey for what you get. They also failed to honor the original agreement that the service was only for one month. Instead, they automatically renewed my subscription without approval. When I called to request a refund for the unauthorized renewal, they refused. This is unprofessional, misleading, and feels dishonest. I strongly advise others to stay away from Varsity Tutors LLC.

  When signing up they promised the payments will stop in May. They kept on charging us months after the test was taken. We wanted to listen to the recording on the day we signed up, thinking maybe we misunderstood. They refuse to speak to us regarding any refunds.

  Hired Varsity Tutors to assist with my daughters SAT exam and specifically told them I only need these services for the 1 month. Without realizing they put us in an automatic recurring plan. I did not notice the charges were recurring until I received an email alert from our **************** once the charges posted after the services were already completed. I then called Varsity Tutors immediately (the same day the charges posted) to cancel the transaction and stated that the services were no longer needed and I would like a refund which their response to me was "they do not do refunds". I reminded them that we paid for the one month up front prior to the initial services received and that is all we needed furthermore, we did not receive any notifications that they were going to be charging us once again. They stated "we do not send out notices". We then disputed the charges through our credit card company and got our money back for the second charge of $899. Now my daughter is in need of services for another type of exam which I happened find out I have this benefit through my employer as part of my benefit package (only to find out after I paid the for the initial round totaling $899) which I we had to absorb that cost out of pocket since this was my mistake for knowing my benefit package. Since we have this benefit it is my understanding they have a contract with this Varsity Tutors. I thought I would call once again to pursue additional services needed only to find out they are refusing to do any future services for my daughter because of the dispute of the additional $899 charged to our account without our knowledge and now we have no other resources for assistance. They were paid for the services rendered and I had to dispute second round of charges of $899 otherwise they would have kept money that was not rightfully theirs and now they refuse to provide services even though it is through contracted third party.

  Cancelled two days after their billing date of the 20th. Was charged for the entire next month. $369. Called and was told by **** that they did not give refunds and that the terms of service stated this policy. Me: so youre going to effectively steal my money for a service I no longer use. Them: yes. There are many many complaints regarding this company and this no refund practice. This is theft. No proration, nothing but excuses as to why theyre taking your money for a service theyre not providing. Do not use! ****!

  Theyre a scam. I needed help with **** tutoring to go to law school. I found this place on ****** and got a phone call from someone saying theyre a great option. She charged me $429 for the tutoring which is already ridiculous but I thought if theyre good like they claim maybe its worth the investment. My tutor was a completely rude and was no help. The tutor did not even get a 170+ on the test. I could just tell private tutoring was not for me because this guy was really rude and degrading. I no longer wanted the service and when I called and asked for a refund they said its non refundable MIND YOU I only had the service for 24 hours and they would not give me my money back. Its been months and I never got my money back. So this company stole my entire paycheck and I never got it back. I tried to file a dispute with the bank and my dispute got denied. They never once told me the program was non refundable.

  Varsity tutors charged me for 8 hours, and only provided 4 hours of tutoring. They breached their contract that they made .They refuse to refund me money. They also charged me again for another month when they told me I had until the 28th to cancel, I called the 28th and they charged me again for a full month. We will not use this service again. Of the 4 hours they did the tutor cancelled or last minute would move the time on my son, expecting him to answer in the middle of the day while he is in school. We are in a state where they are not allowed phones in school. Unacceptable business practices and taking advantage of families.

  If there were a 0 star option, I would use it. Do not buy into their plans. We had a terrible experience with this service, starting with an appointment where the tutor never showed up after we waited 45 minutes. Following that, we had immense difficulty matching with a suitable tutor. When we finally found one, they had a very limited schedule and canceled after just one class. As a result, my daughter was unable to get the help she needed and had to drop her Class!! is so terrible... We had only used 1.5 hours of our 8-hour monthly plan, and the failure was entirely on their end. I had to demand a refund, they don't let me, on a service they cannot deliver.

  Would not recommend, not saying they are bad people , but you can tell this is just quick money for them, I sent my tutor my info of what I was studying ahead of time , she didnt have practice questions or anything, and they do not refund you your money, then her connection kept cutting off for half the session, which I think she was doing on purpose. She kept telling her dog to stop. It was a mess They are not who they say they are. I do not recommend this company at all guys

  In 2022, I purchased a plan for tutoring and paid the cost upfront. Not only, did I receive an inexperienced tutor. She tutored me with the incorrect materials. I did not pass my FL subject area certification exams the first time. I called back to request a refund. They automatically place me in a program where they schedule me with higher level tutors. The tutors were inconsistent with showing up to our scheduled sessions. One just analyzed my test scores the whole session. I was frustrated. I ended up purchasing some recommended books and pass them on my own. Once I realized this tutoring company was not any help, I called again. They immediately refused to refund my money. Do not use them. They will rip you off.
