I recently purchased a home and Curbside is demanding a disconnection fee for retrieving their bins, despite my decision to use a more affordable trash service. I have no contract with them, yet multiple representatives insisted I owe a fee for the previous residents' bins. I will never use Curbside and will urge others to avoid this predatory company, and I of course won't be paying them a single cent. I know I owe them nothing.Business Response

Curbwaste never pick up organic waste that I signed up for all the period they were suppose to pick it and they have been charging me for it. I reported it to them but nothing has been done.Business Response

I use Curbside for Trash and Yardwaste pick up. For yard waste they charged me $279 on April 2nd. Today (4/29) I called to cancel that service and was told I could not and they would not give me a refund. They stated they started picking up yardwaste on the 21st, even though my bins wouldnt have gotten picked up until tomorrow. This has to be a scam.Business Response

This complaint is about Curbside Waste, and the shady business practices they use. Curbside is spiking rates on people using auto billing in hopes no one catches it, or complains then blaming computer error when they get caught and then raise the ******** is given that business set the price of there services and adjust them as they see fit. Unless there is contract with a fixed price like in this case.Curbsides door to door sales offered $25.00 for every 2 months for the 1st year. and 3% price increase after first year of a 2 year contract. Majority of our block singed up.This rate only lasted two billing cycles later or 4/mo. They then billed everyone at $76.00 every 2 months, All the people with auto billing payed $76 until they caught it.I called for them to correct my bill, oops computer error $34 is the new lowest price, I told them it was supposed to only go up 3% after a year, and thats 6 months from now, they didn't care and increased price 100% over 2 years Curbsides method continued this every billing cycle from then on.$78.00 oops computer error $36.00 is the new price. price. Next **** $79.00 oops computer error $45, is all we can do. Next Bill $80. oops computer error $58, is as low as we can go, 2/mo later bill $85 oops computer error $68, is the best price, and so on up to $125 I canceled. Most of our block has canceled service with them due to this this predatory tactic, Myself and a few other neighbors still have orphan trash cans sitting empty on the curb from closed accounts. I called twice and emailed. They claim the driver had no access to pick up. This is another lie. Anyone with ****** maps can clearly see on street view the ****************************************************** along with surrounding neighborhood for that matter, most everyones trash cans are sitting in front of homes unobstructed, Including mine. The way I see it this is Bait and Switch, and a form of theft that is currently affecting 1000's of people ThankyouBusiness Response

I cancelled service in November 2024 and called Curbside Waste, asking them to retrieve their trash bins. Three times they failed to pick them up on the scheduled days, blaming me for either not having the bins at the curb or there being trash in them, neither of which was true. Today I called them for the FOURTH time, and was told Id be charged $35 to have the bins removed. I want the $35 charge waived and their bins removed from my premises.Business Response

I was changed $275 for yard waste in late March 2025. I have contacted them and they said it is on autopay. My trash is on autopay but not my yard waste. This makes no sense. In any case, I contacted them and said I didn't want it this year. They said "haha it's on autopay, our business has no way of refunding you." As a business owner, this is bad business and if no service has been rendered to not give a refund is criminal. This is terrible and they are taking advantage of people.Business Response

We had a salesperson come around walking in the neighborhood one day. He rand my door bell I answered. He asked if he could quote service and said others were signing up which is a lie btw no one in our circle/block did. He was pushy I said I don't have time he could leave his card or the quote he wrote down. He said I can come back possibly but can you please sign this sheet that shows I stopped here. I did it quickly had nothing given to me had asked for nothing. Weeks later I have 3 cans dropped off at my home and the neighbors did as well. We never signed up for anything, but his scam was sign to say I was here meant he signed me up probably to get his commissions. I called right away and asked them what was going on asked them to come get the cans. They said OK we will come next week Tuesday no showed, I called again same response and again no show I called 4 times to request them to come get them and they have still not shown up. I called to complain today got someone who tried to say i would be charged a fee if they had someone come get the cans???? I said you won't charge me anything because I didn't sign up for anything with you and never will. I asked for a manager they said we will have someone call you i said I would like to hold for them now because this is absurd, and I want this handled now I have been patient for months and I am done being patient. They proceeded to argue on the phone with me and when I asked to hold again, they said they were hanging up on meBusiness Response

I have been trying to cancel my service since February due to moving out of state. I have called from two different phone numbers (my work phone and personal phone) and have left countless voicemails to the main business line and their customer service line. They have not returned any calls. I finally was able to reach someone in March to cancel my account and was informed I would have to pay a cancellation fee of $30.27, due to not providing 30 day notice, even though I have been calling for more than 30 days in attempt to cancel the account. Three different times I was informed a supervisor would call me back to settle the bill, which has not happened because the supervisors never call me back. They also have confirmed two different dates to pick up the trash and the recycling cans, and they have not showed up to get them. I was able to talk to someone today who reached out to her supervisor (she did not mute herself; I could hear the entire unprofessional conversation) which the manager refused to speak with me. They are claiming to have done a look up of my phone numbers and are not showing that I called, even though I am looking right at the proof of calls with the dates in my call history. They will not let me send my screenshot documentation and said they dont care, and they arent removing the $30.27 balance on the account. I will NOT be paying this fee and will need it removed from the account. I also have my copy of the contract that I NEVER SIGNED. Therefore I was never even in contract with them, but they will not let me scan this to them via email for proof. This company is nothing but unprofessional scammers who will not return your calls. I am filing a complaint regarding Curbside Waste due to misrepresentation, unexpected fees, and an unfair contract enforcement.A Curbside Waste employee came to my door offering waste services and assured me they could beat the fees I was paying with my previous provider. I provided my total bill amount, including all charges, fees, and surcharges. The representative wrote down a new rate on our agreement, which was $2/month less than my current provider, and I signed based on that understanding.However, Curbside Waste began billing me at a significantly higher ratenearly twice the agreed-upon amount. When I raised this issue, they claimed the additional charges were due to taxes and fees that I had failed to ask about. I believe the sales representative misrepresented these fees or omitted key details, leading to an unfair and misleading agreement.Due to my dissatisfaction, I requested to cancel my service, only to be told that I was locked into a two-year contract and would have to pay a $200 cancellation fee. However, the single-page document I signed does not include a contract, and Curbside Waste has yet to provide me with any signed agreement proving otherwise.I find this situation unacceptable and believe it reflects deceptive business practices. I am requesting correction of my billing to match the originally agreed-upon rate and cancellation of my service without penalty at the end of the current billing period.
