My online sales order was on 6/2/22 #SO66801. There were 4 items - 2 end tables were received. The 2 full size iron bird bed frames are outstanding which were stated to arrive by 7/15/22. In late July after leaving several phone ***************** to customer service a ***** called & stated now delivery was mid to late August. All the phone #s are nonworking per ******** The full amount of my order was charged $2591.81 . Please help me resolve this outstanding order. I ordered a piece of furniture from Sturbridge Yankee Workshop in April of 2022; though the item was listed as "in stock" both online and in the catalog, once the purchase was complete I received a confirmation email and used the information to check the order status, where I learned that the item was "backordered". This was the status of the order for several months until today when I went to check the order status and now the website is gone, the phone number is disconnected - there is no way to contact anybody at the company.Oddly enough, I have been receiving catalogs from this company up until only a couple of weeks ago, many of them include the item I ordered (and already paid for). so it seems they are still selling items that they can not, or will not, deliver. I have contacted my bank to dispute the charge as there is no way to deal with the business directly.Customer Answer

On July 5th I ordered 3 lamps from Yankee Sturbridge Workshop. On July 14th they charged my bank account $ ******. Since then no phone numbers work or email addresses. I've seen that they filed for bankruptcy. They're still sending out catalogs. I'd like to know what my status is. I'm on social security and saved up for these lamps. On March 26, 2022, I ordered two stackable apothecary cabinets which came to a total of $362.43. I called several times since that date to be told the order would be filled in May, then August and then finally a representative told me the order was stuck on a ship which could not port. I then cancelled the order via a representative by the name of **********************************. The order number is S021856. Upon receiving my bank statement this month, I found that $357.43 had been deducted from my checking account by Yankee Sturbridge. I have since e-mailed and tried calling but to no avail. On Nov. 26, 2021, I ordered two items online from Sturbridge Yankee Workshop order number #*******3 ( later that order number was changed). I ordered 1A373-WAL Stackable apothecary Bottom Cabinet Walnut (sale price $149.47), and 1A372-WAL Stackable Apothecary Top Cabinet Walnut(sale price$103.97) plus $93.49 shipping and handlingtotal I would owe$346.93. I received item #1A373-WAL Bottom and was charged the sale price $149.47 and shipping of $83.49 which they charged on my credit card (total $232.96). Having not yet received the 2nd item the top pc to the first item, I called in feb, in which the told me back order. Then on my credit card bill at the beginning of April 1, 2022, I saw I was charged on march 11, 2022from Sturbridge $113.97 for the remainder of the order for 2nd item #1A372 the top of apothecary but I never received it. I called them immediately, explaining the charge with no item sent. They said it was a mistake charging me without sending the item, and I could get a 20% off discount on the *** they charged me on my card. I told them I would like the apothecary top but would like the charge reversed until it is sent to me. They said if they do that I would have to start all over ordering it and be at the bottom of the ordering list and not get the discount price. I told them to give me the 20% off (which appeared on my next credit card a credit of $12 and some cents cannot find that *** at this moment) And keep my order in the order it is in, but I was worried that I paid it in full now and do not have the item. Was told not to worry. Because of covid, call back in a month if I havent received it. So, not getting it I called back 5/5/22, and was told they were moving a factory on **** and nothing is being sent right now it will arrive by the end or the month. Called 6/9/22, told rudely to call back in a month covid shipping problems. On 8/1/22, could only get a message to leave info and will be called back. No reply. No working phones 9/1.Customer Answer

I have been purchasing household items from Strurbridge Yankee Workshop since before my 50 year old daughter was born and have always had a huge respect for their product line and customer service. However, I've now found myself holding an unprocessed credit memo for $175.47 (their #CM4129 dated 8/11/22} representing a return of substandard merchandise. It is so sad to be witnessing the possible demise of such a iconic business but buyer beware as their catalogs are still arriving in the mail.Initial Complaint

I ordered a black floor lamp on or about 7/10/22 and my credit crd was charged on 7/14 for $137.45. I didn't receive lamp for a month, it came in gold color which the box states but paper statement states black. I cannot use a gold lamp.I wrote to SYW and requested a return label which they ignored. I e-mailed again and received a case # CASE2733, but still nothing. I called repeatedly, phone out of order. I also do not want to be charged a restocking fee or return postage. please send return label and refund. i am on a fixed income and cannot afford to lose $137.45. Complaint: Sturbridge Yankee Workshop - *******************************; ********, *****; ***** -------(*** I tried to call Sturbridge Yankee Workshop's Store telephone number and their Toll Free number but both numbers have been disconnected! ***) I have contacted Sturbridge Yankee Workshop several times - until all forms of communication (telephone/internet) have been shutdown... Website is gone!-------I ordered a Floor Lamp (Item *****) for $233.95 on July 14, 2022 (Well over a month ago...)My order number for the Floor Lamp is: 222-SO73525 ******* card was charged $233.95 on July 27, 2022.When the Floor Lamp didn't arrive (it was never shipped!), I asked for a refund to my ****.Sturbridge Yankee Workshop then created a "Credit Memo" (CM-4109) on August 11, 2022.Nothing happened. Zero. ******* was never credited the $233.95!I then, again, contacted Sturbridge Yankee Workshop via Email.Sturbridge Yankee Workshop then created what they labeled "Case ****" on August 25, 2022.They did nothing. No resolution. Zip. Now, in addition to no Telephone numbers, their Website has been shutdown! I have not heard from the business, Sturbridge Yankee Workshop, in response to my complaint.
However, I did contact my credit card issuer ****** and they have issued my account a conditional credit of $233.95.
Sturbridge Yankee Workshop is now impossible to contact as they have closed down - after almost 70 years in business - their
website and customer service telephone numbers. I have had very positive success with online businesses.
Sturbridge Yankee Workshop in ***** has been the rare exception. I'm sure there are many others in my same situation.
