We chose Window Nation to install a new 2-panel sliding glass patio door at our home this past fall. We were told this would be a 1-day job. After installation, the crew left before thoroughly cleaning the panels. As we were cleaning the doors ourselves after work later that evening, we discovered a large "smudge" on one of the panels that would not come off. We contacted the company and informed them of the issue. They discovered the smudge was between the two panes and agreed to re-order & re-install that panel, which they did about 4 weeks later. In the meantime, we also had to hire a contractor to fix the numerous nail pops in our newly painted drywall around the door framing that were caused by the installers. After installing the new panel, we discovered debris in the other (sliding) panel. The company agreed to come out a 3rd time to replace that panel, which they did. After installing that panel on their 3rd trip, I noticed the door not opening/closing smoothly and clipping the framing when closing. The "master installer" assured me that this issue was weather related and would "solve itself" when the weather got warmer. I agreed to let the vinyl framing set for a couple of weeks. The issue did not "solve itself", so I had to reach out and have someone come out for a 4th time. On this trip, the project manager was unable to fix the issue, but did agree that it was due to an error in installation, not weather. So, we scheduled a 5th appointment. Finally, after the 5th appointment, our door was installed and operating properly. I have requested a partial refund for a fraction of the total cost of this project due to inconvenience and poor service. There is no way a customer who has been put through the inconvenience/stress this has caused us should have to pay the same amount as someone who had the job done right the first time.

We entered into a window agreement with Window Nation in July of 2024. Included in our order was a bay window for our kitchen. The order was placed, Window Nation inspectors did a site check and approved the area for a bay install. On installation day 9/17/2024, the bay window was taken off the truck set in our backyard waiting for install. After several hours of wandering around my property and not touching the bay window, we were told there was an issue and the bay window would not be able to be installed. Apparently, the initial site inspection was done incorrectly and our home would not accommodate the bay. *********** inspectors came out and told Window Nation that they would not approve the installation. I was angry and extremely disappointed. A bay window in my kitchen was always a dream of mine. I was told that day by the Window Nation site manager, ***, that this issue would receive expedited service for replacement window for the bay and we would receive compensation for the error on Window Nation's part. We finally did get a new double hung installed in that kitchen on 12/3/24. It took them nearly a month and a half to issue a change order and get the new window order placed. To this day we have never received a corrected invoice or compensation on the inconvenience and error on their part. Today I received a statement from Synchrony, who is financing our project for the full entire amount of the original order with the bay window, no compensation for the error. I was told no billing would occur until this issue was resolved. I have been dealing with ******* *****, ****, ******* ********* and Forest ******* and have gotten communication, resolution or assistance. I did place a call to ******* ***** Regional Manager today, 1/17/25 and was unable to leave a message due to a mailbox not set up. I notified **** who works under ******* of my total frustration and anger. If you need any further information please contact me.

      Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because: Window Nation has simply subtracted the cost of the bay window and added the double hung. I was promised compensation for the error on Window Nations part for the negligent and faulty site survey which they stated a bay would be appropriate and work in our space.  Window Nation realized it was not able to be installed on our home before the City of *********** arrived on the premises.   I was also promised expedited service to remedy the situation and get the replacement double hung and it took approximately 2 months.  Their sales employee failed to timely submit the change order for the new window.  Communication with Window Nation and been extremely frustrating and lacking in compassion.  It took weeks to get a new offer in the form of a revised contract and that happened only today 1/21/2025.

      Hello,

I spoke to Mr. ******* ******* this morning (1/29/25) and we discussed the situation. He stated Window Nation is unable to furnish me with a detailed invoice as far as charges, discounts and compensation.  Stating it is there practice to not do that considering what all goes into cost.

He asked me what I would like to see happen. I replied that a bill of exactly $10,000 would be my suggestion. This way I feel my compensation would be met and Window Nation would get a fair amount for the windows. I felt my offer was fair and ******* seemed accepting. He stated he will discuss it with his team and get back to me.  Hopefully, I will hear back from him today or tomorrow.

I will provide any further information after I speak to *******.

      Thank you, ***** ******

I had all of the windows replaced in my home and specifically asked the salesman about these windows having safety locks. He assured me they did, when the windows were installed they did not have safety locks , i called the salesman he checked and said they do not come with these windows and was unaware that the company had changed this. Now i can not leave a window open at night or if i leave my home because the windows are close to ground level and there isn't anything stopping someone from just sliding window open more and climbing in. This was reiterated several times to salesman and customer service. and it has been 5 months still no call back on this matter. I was told after the repairs of other issues were completed i would get a call to discuss a fair deduction amount from the balance i owe. I need to buy and install my own safety locks for each window and i am not happy for the money that i have spent. I have called several times and still not call back.

Latest issue in the photo shown that doing a rainstorm water is now coming through the window itself, not the installation and staining the wood. Before the window was installed being in my living room I did notice a nail sticking out, that is very dangerous. The window was supposed to come as a hip roof but they installed a shed roof as in the contract. The salesman also sold me and provided shown through a video that the window will be installed using metal link chains but instead they installed metal coil wire when they were redoing the roof of the shed. The left hand did come loose and they had to re-tighten it which will be a very dangerous structural later on. Doing the construction of the roof. They did notice from the prior construction installating of the window that lot of water has gotten into and stained half the entire top of the top part of the window. There has been numerous missing sections of sealant. Which trim has been popping off to the point where you can move the wood trim of the window with your finger. They have done some metal grinding inside of my house that was causing a lot of Sparks during the install. The salesman has been told that he should no longer have any contact with me because of all the problems that has been occurring. They don't want to seem like they've been dealing with me. They have also been canceling appointments to come out to fix my window. Everybody part of window Nation has just been missing in action where I've been making phone calls, emails or texting anyone. Nobody has been responding to me. The window was installed October 30th, 2024 and so many problems have been constantly arising, Those I've not even said and I'm supposed to have a lifetime warranty and this point nobody is contacting me. I've been trying very nice with them but now they are just missing an action and refusing to deal with me in any way. I'm very worried about the water leaking in, especially during summertime where mold will start to grow.

I am rejecting this response because: they have canceled scheduled appointments in the past, they have missing in person of all forms of communication with me, they told me that they were going to call me back ON Monday, which it was a complete lie, I had to reach out to them for them to reconnect with my problems witch is continuing to build up. Are all problems going to be resolved and future issues at this point, I'm not sure if I should not want the windows anymore if it is going to be causing harm to the my house and get a full refund, but for the meantime I will try to accept a schedule appointment with them on January 14th to try to be a nice person to them, though I am getting a lot of lies.

      Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because: The shouting match argument that we had in my living room is not how you treat a person or a customer that paid a premium price of what's turning into a junk product that I probably don't want anymore, if it's just going to have issues, and the only way to solve it is just globbing more and more sealant. I will not accept paint over the mistakes that has made when a nation has broke their contract on the restoring a shed roof to a hip roof. I will not accept paint over powder coated aluminum siding. It just furthers cheapens the entire experience that I paid a premium price for.

      Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because: *****, the salesman did sold me chain links as shown in a video but twice now has been installed Is metal coil wire, what happened during the first install and it was recorded during the hip roof replacement was the one coil wire wire did come loose and had to be retightened which will never be known because it's completely forever covered by the roof. So you sold me chain links but gave me something else which is false advertisement and predatory sales tactics which I may never know if it's still structurally sound or what because the first coil came loose within a few short weeks. And at this point in time it is way too early to know if the window is going to hold up to quality because last one I was consistently finding problems. I will keep the windows and be consistently keeping my eye out for the window Nation dilemmas in their windows.

My wife and I ordered new windows from window nation in the amount of $29,001.00. Two of the windows were miss measured that the installation team noticed and advised us that they would have to reorder new ones. Then the window in our master bathroom was installed with the wrong window. We have two dogs that we had to board for three days because we were told the installation would take a day and a half to two days. It took only one day. So we paid for three days when we could have only needed to board them for one day. Then when the new windows that were missing measured came in we had to board the dogs again. Do to a family illness we had we called ******** to inform her of the master bathroom window was the wrong window. It had slats in it but was to be just privacy glass. They said they would replace that window with a new one. But after spending the time and money we decided to just live with the one installed. We had asked for compensation for the inconvenience and after going back and forth they agreed to pay us $500.00. We were told the check was mailed out December 3rd of 2024. However we still havent received the check yet. When I emailed ******** to advise her that we should have received the check by now the response from her was to ask me if they had the right address? Well lets see they installed the windows at the right address. Then she asked if I had a PO Box number. I responded that yes the address was correct and that I didnt have a PO Box. Its a shame that management gives the customer a hassle when there is a problem because the installation team are very polite and professional and where very impressed by them. ******** is also very polite and professional unfortunately she is caught in the middle. We are tired of the delays.

Purshased windows and a customs sliding door. The windows were installed and the screen had big gaps at the corners which allows bugs and other things to enter. Screens were replaced but many have the same issue. Bigger issue is the custom sliding door that was installed. The door has been installed approximaly 2 months and the door lock has already broked 3 times. The door is unable to be locked which leaves the house unsecured. When the door lock broke the 3rd time it spun freely but would not open so we had to go out the side of the house to access the back yard for approximately a week. Now the secondary lock broke while the door was closed. Once again we couldn't open the door or access the back yard. Let alone need to exit that door in an emergency we simply couldnt. I had to completley remove the locking rail myself to even open and use the door I am paying for. I've called in and requested it to be escalated due to multiple service requests and I'm told it will take 3 to 4 business days for the service requests to call and than another 2 weeks for the service to be performed. All in all the door works for about a week and something goes wrong where the door can't be locked or even opened. The handle that is approximately 2 months old is already loose and the bolts that us securing it to the door is working free just after two months. I asked to speak to a supervisor and call service rep said no supervisor is available and she couldnt even see previous service requests.

On October *******, a salesman, ***** ******** representing Window Nation came to my home to discuss me purchasing windows. When we discussed pricing I advised they were more than I wanted to pay. He said he was going to his truck to call his supervisor. When he came back in he gave me a price and a monthly payment I was willing to pay. He also said there would be no interest charges. About a week and a half later I received a letter from a finance company stating I was approved for financing. I called Window Nation several times and asked for a supervisor. I was never able to speak with a supervisor but ***** called several times. He denied the conversation we had but I would never have agreed to the windows otherwise. I would advise anyone working with this company to beware of their sales tactics. I am very dissatisfied!!!

On 10/12/2024 we signed a contract with Window Nation to replace several windows in our home after a high pressure sales tactic hour from the salesman. He said we had 5 days to cancel after that without any penalty. We wrote a deposit check for over $5000. He said he would email us the contract but he did not. A few days later on 10/17/2024 I emailed and called customer service to cancel the contract and they cancelled without any issues. A sales manager called me later that day to try to offer me another deal to keep our business but we declined. On the phone I mentioned that we never actually received the contract so he emailed it to me right then. At this time, my deposit check had not yet been cashed so I assumed that they weren't going to since the order was cancelled. The next day on 10/18/2024, a day after I cancelled and got confirmation that I cancelled, they cashed the deposit check. Since then, I have called customer service at least three times trying to get my deposit back but our money has not been returned and each customer service agent just says to call back again later to check on the status. The first ****** I talked to shortly after cancelling had claimed that the money would be returned within 10 business days but now it is almost a month later on 11/16/2024 and we have not received our money back.

The date of transaction was sept. 11th. Communication lacked and involved me haggling the company and various ************* to get the job done to get no answer half of the time. Was promised new construction at the beginning for 3 out of 9 of my windows and paid for that from sales *** and sales manager. Change order was in place after that for what I assumed was for the trim that I wanted and it also ended up being for changing the new construction back to just ***lacing the awning windows I have to new awning windows, that was NEVER discussed verbally. I didnt catch it until the workers finally came to doing the job and I half half the managers telling me they just do ***lacement windows and was promised by sales *** and manager that they do. Its been very confusing, I shouldve looked at the change order better I admit but Ive been so desperate and stressed trying to get information out of these people and trying to get the job done before winter I just signed it. Again nothing was said ever to me about them not being able to do new construction and have all the e-mails and texts from everyone to prove it. You could probably call them for phone recordings of our conversations when I called expressing concern. The chain manager was very un professional telling me to ask the sales *** and manager why they are promising new construction for windows when they dont, shouldnt he be more concerned and have that answer? I have notice a bunch of imperfections with the job, just feeling frustrated and hopeless. I just wanted this to go smooth and easy but its been the opposite. They have offered only a $800 rebate check which I guess may be something, but they promised me new construction and thats what I was under the assumption of getting until the day of and why I went with them. I didnt want just ***lacement windows I would have taken my business elsewhere if they were more clear. Again I have text messages and e-mails, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes I need a receipt. For taxes and documentation for when/if I sell my home. Ive been getting ignored my ***** and a guy named ***** asked if I have the contract. I think I have the old one not an updated one with the new price adjusted on it. Another man, ***** **** sent me an e-mail with some information on it; I dont want that. For starters the sold price and paid price dont align. I want a written document showing everything with the adjusted price on it saying paid. Or, I have the old contract showing $7300 was paid but not one for the $4066 being paid. These guys want to sit there and ignore me and possibly banter rather than just get me what I need and get me out of their hair already.

      Sincerely,

      ****** Floss
