We had 3 new windows put in on October 21 and October 22 in 2022. 2 of the new windows were great and installed properly. We had 1 large bay window in the front of our house that they did not insulate and the trim came broken so the installer went to ******* and picked up a new trim that did not match my window and Cornell from window nation wasn't even comfortable nailing into the trim when they came to fix the insulation. Cornell came in January to insulate the bay window that our installer never insulated when originally installed. We noticed it was not insulated because an ice dam was created above our brand new bay window which lead to water leaking into our house through our new window for days we had to remove the ice dam because window nation wouldn't come look at our window for over a week. It cost $2800 to remove the ice dam and then Cornell comes out from window nation saying our bay window has an ice dam because our window was never insulated so our window was leaking out hot air from in the house melting snow on our roof creating an ice dam. They insulated our window now but will not help pay for the ice dam removal that their window insulation created! As a veteran in Anoka I expected more help from this company and for my window to be installed properly from the beginning. Now I am left to pay for the ice dam they created from improper installation and clean up on the inside of my house from water leaking in through the window they installed.

Window Nation apologizes to our customer for any frustration they've experienced during their project. We do regret that the customer had any installation errors, however Window Nation was promptly able to fix the matter as a part of their warranty plan. Our customer's gutters, which were not installed by Window Nation, were the cause of the ice buildup. Window Nation is unable to reimburse for this service as we never requested our customer to conduct this service, nor was it our installation that caused ice to build up. Window Nation remains available to assist our customer in the event that they need anything additional in the future.

I am rejecting this response because: I got all new gutters and a new roof put on my house in August of 2022. I got windows from window nation in October 2022. My window from window nation was NEVER insulated which created an ice dam above my new window in January 2023. I have had my roof and gutters inspected and I have no damage or any reason for my new roof and gutters to cause an ice dam. Now that window nation has insulated my window properly I have not had an ice dam created above my window again because the ice dam was created due to my window they installed not being insulated.

      Sincerely,

Window Nation does again apologize to our customer for any frustration they may have experienced, however Window Nation was able to remedy the insulation once we were made aware of the issue. Our opinion is that, had our customer not hired a company to perform any maintenance on their gutters, the problem would have been resolved with no further damage or issues to speak of. Window Nation did not allude to our customer that they should hire a 3rd party company to handle the ice dam, nor did Window Nation believe the problem could not be remedied in a reasonable amount of time once notified of the issue. Window Nation, therefore, will not be able to reimburse our customer for the service they opted to purchase of their own volition. Window Nation does remain ready to assist in the event our customer should ever have a need for any more warranty work.

In April 2022 I purchased windows from Window nation. The installation was in August 2022. 2 of these windows do not work properly and could be a bit dangerous for me! They have been out a few times to correct the problem. The last time was December 2022. After another failed attempt, the man told me they brought the wrong section of the windows!!! I was told it would be January-February 2023 before they would return. The top portion of the windows won't stay up and are impossible for me to open, close, or latch the lock! They won't return my many calls or requests that they do so. I'm 93, paid cash and desperately need your help. Thank you!

Window Nation apologizes to our customer for any frustration they've experienced during their project. We have attempted to contact our customer on multiple occasions, both by phone and email, to discuss their project; however, we have thus far been unsuccessful in connecting with them. We would request that, if the customer has a different phone number, they'd relay that information through the BBB so that we can assist with their concerns. Window Nation looks forward to resolving this matter for our customer.

Window Nation replaced old windows and doors with new ones based on the attached order on August 21, 2021. Due to supply chain issues, it took 8 months to replace old windows and doors. And even after that, it took 6 months for them to replace the trim to match the windows and doors. Also, the new windows and doors did not follow the ordered color scheme based on the work order. Based on the work order window colors should be white, rather all ordered windows came with an ugly ivory/yellow color different than the one agreed upon through the work order. After filing, BBB complain about this issue, window nation representative showed up to review their mistake and he told Window nation will rather change all the other old windows but can not change the color of the new windows.

After several follow-ups for 2+ years representative kept on ignoring and now we were sent to pay the remaining due ASAP. Ask is simple, fix the windows to reflect color per work order and get money. Or I will hire another contractor to replace the windows to the color that was ordered as part of the work order and request window nation not to bother us anymore.

Window Nation apologizes for any frustration our customer has experienced during their project, however we would respectfully disagree that anything was performed incorrectly on this job. While our customer did make it known to a representative that the window colors did not come in the way they were expecting, the customer had signed a changed order weeks earlier indicating that, "Per HOA (Home Owner's Association), windows/capping must be beige to match existing." After learning that the customer wanted the beige to only be exterior, it was explained that this was not made explicit to Window Nation and therefore we would have to charge the customer if we were to reorder the windows again. Window Nation had recently conducted an audit and found that our customer did still owe a balance for their windows, hence the communication with them at this time. Window Nation would still be willing to reorder the windows for our customer to match their expectations, should they desire to do so, however at this time we believe the matter to be resolved.

      Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

Window Nation was clearly told to follow color code of old windows. (Beige on exterior side and white on interior, also HOA regulations are ONLY for home exterior). It was clearly told to the Representative who stopped by before window's order and they were aware of it (and now just playing with words).

Also, I am attaching screen print from Rep that Window Nation agreed the mistake on their side for color, they even offered to replace all remaining old Windows of our house with same color as new replaced (Beige color on interior) windows. Please check mobile screen prints where I provided pic for remaining windows on April 12, 2022. Representative acknowledged receipt and told he will get back - with no response till today. Also, after almost 6 months of door replacement (while I was reaching out to main office for color) we discovered another door issue where Window Nation contractors used just duct tape to cover the pippins on exterior side (after we came to know that there are lot of ants coming in from door) the last screen print IMG_0774 was continuation from color issue to door issue, anyhow it took a couple of months for them to fix the door duct tape issue (but gladly that was fixed).

Overall very disappointed with the service, as there is a disconnect between their main office, support staff and contractors who do actual work. I do not want to pay any money as this is almost two years that I am waiting on to get this issue fixed.

      Sincerely,

I ordered 16 new windows 3/2020, with the salesman's confirmation that they would be full window replacements and not retrofitted (not restricting the light any more than the old windows). They took measurements and installation was scheduled for 7/2021.
The work crew installed all before letting me know the windows were all slightly too small. They "filled the gaps" for a temporary fix until new windows could be ordered. After they left, I found 2 broken landscaping lights; the wood rot was replaced with plain, non-treated wood; and the windows were indeed restricting additional light.
These issues were escalated and WN came out to remeasure, reorder, and I was promised $200 in gift cards, reimbursement for the fixes, and the correct windows.
The 2nd install was on 12/2021 - they were the right but were just as restrictive as the ones previous. The crew didn't remove any of the sticker residue and didn't add the matching vinyl trim to all interior windows - the trim they did add was already peeling away the next day. Not to mention that none of the windows would even lock right.
Again, my case was escalated; again, I was promised gift cards; again, I was guaranteed the issues to be fixed. I followed up 2 more times through March, and they sent someone out to remeasure and document what needs to be fixed and ideally replaced. Promises were made, but WN took no action after this visit.
I followed up 6 times over the next 8 months, still with no action taken. They finally sent someone yesterday, but he was only there to fix the locks. I was led to believe he was coming to document and rectify everything, the correct windows with maximum light coming through. I called to complain, the same number I've called and communicated with for the last 19 months - their response: You need to call the salesforce, we can't help you. Again, they are trying to "fix" things and I'm trying to be hopeful, however, I would never recommend this company to anyone.

Window Nation apologizes if our customer has felt any aggravation during their experience, as we aim to ensure our customers are 100% satisfied. Window Nation remains committed to ensuring any outstanding service needs are addressed for our customer. Following an appointment on February 23, we did order a replacement sash for the customer's kitchen window. Window Nation does believe that our customer has received the correct style windows, however, and that, with replacement windows, some glass space loss may be expected. Window Nation has installed the windows that our customer has contracted for, and we stand behind the installation minus a few minor service repairs. Window Nation will communicate with our customer to schedule replacement of the kitchen sash once it's received, and we are willing to assist in the future should the customer require any other warranty work. We appreciate our customer's patience.

Window Nation has failed to complete the job and install all of the windows within acceptable time frame. They convinced the finance company to pay them despite the fact that they knew the job was not yet complete. In addition, their employees all smelled like pot when they came to our house and the windows that they installed were both faulty and did not fit. I would like for window nation to finish the job that they were required to finish.

Our teams had responded to our customer's request prior to receiving this complaint and reassured them that their service needs would be handled as quickly as possible. We have ordered the correct materials to complete our customer's project, which, due to the style and nature, may take additional time to receive. My wife and I contracted Window Nation in October of 2021 to replace 13 windows in our home because they were running a "buy 2, get 2 windows free" promotion. Work was completed in June of 2022. Immediately after completion, we had to have WN come to our home to fix shoddy installation and seals completed by their installers. We were told when signing our contract that they use in-house installers and not outside contractors. This was a lie as the installers were admitted hired outside contractors who left an absolute mess beind in our home and outside property. Trash, dirty t-shirts, construction materials, screws, and window trim had to be cleaned. A few weeks after final installation, it was noticed that several of the windows were not closing and latching properly. I contacted WN several times by phone. I spoke to a live person a few times, each telling me someone would return my call, and then they never did. Other calls, I couldn't reach a live person, so I left voice-mails that were never answered. I attempted several times to schedule service calls on their website, which were never responded to. Fast forward to this winter and the colder months. Many of the windows are leaking cold air and the ones that do not latch properly have a 1/4" gap that must be covered to keep freezing cold Indiana air from coming in. One of these windows is in my 2 year old child's room. Finally, after posting several negative reviews on social media about our issues, we were contacted in early January 2023 and service scheduled. A technician came out and only agreed to fix the window in our child's room. He ordered the replacement window valances but never returned to install them. I have called the company, his personal cell number he gave us, the original sales persons number we were given on a business card, and no one will return my calls. I feel we have been lied to, mislead, and this company had not honored its agreements.

Our hope is that all of our customers receive a world-class experience, so we are disappointed that our customer has experiencing anything less than that. Window Nation has reordered the remaining pieces that our customer needs to install their project, and we expect to receive them by the month's end; barring any delays due to production, etc. Once these have been received, our coordinators will call our customer and ensure they receive an installation appointment at a convenient time in their schedule. Window Nation appreciates our customer's patience as we work to resolve this matter.

Windows were replaced months prior and there was no issue with the windows. Unfortunately the driver of the truck drove over my brick border causing damage leaving my driveway (Incident recorded on camera). Also the guys replacing the windows has left drug paraphernalia behind that my 6 year old found. I notified the project manager of the incident and he stated that he would reimburse the cost of damage. A invoice was sent and the project manager has since ignored me.

We signed a contract with Window Nation for 24 replacement windows in Dec of 2021. They measured our windows on three separate occasions where my wife left work early. We were told the project would be completed by April 2022. When the project started they replaced 22 windows and mis-measured 2 custom windows. I contacted window Nation and spoke to numerous customer service reps stating that they would look into it and get someone out to get the windows replaced. I have been getting calls from the financing company every month asking if the job was complete and the financing company contacting window nation as well, through phone calls and email with no avail. At this point I don't want window nation coming back. My wife had to leave work 3 times just to have the project still not complete. We are now in Jan of 2023 a full year has gone by and our windows are not completed. We want a refund on the two custom windows and a discount for the time my wife took from work and the headache of reaching out on numerous occasions.
