    It was the best trip ever! I would highly recommend ****** and ****. The staff and tour director were amazing and made everything so easy. The tour guides were very knowledgeable. Thank you EF Tours for a great experience.

    Great company for the tours. Friendly local guides and nice hotels. They have a fair number of solo tours which is nice if you want to travel and dont want to pay the high single supplements. I do not book airfare through the company but flights with the tour are included. Super friendly customer service as well.

    What an awesome, memorable life experience in Africa. Our guides were top notch and made sure we got up close to see the animals. We crossed off the big 5 in the first 10 minutes of the second day. All of our accommodations were wonderful. It was amazing to see zebras grazing right outside our door in Lake Navasha. The tented camps were comfortable and so fun, hearing the hippos in the river below. I would do this again in a heartbeat and would recommend EF Goahead to anyone. Great job. Great time. ***** and ******** was my 4th tour with this company. I have also done *****, the Grand tour of *****, and the ****************** They must be doing something right if I keep coming back. The guides have all gone above and beyond. During the Christmas tour, our guide got us a river dinner cruise in ******** and a night at the opera in ****** which was outside of the offered excursions. During the Grand tour of ***** we got to go to a professional flamenco show, also outside of the offered side trips. I have some wonderful memories that I will cherish.

    Don't use this tour service!!! There were so many issues it's hard to talk about them all but here are the main ones. Our trip was to Sicily and Rome.
    We booked as a group of six and purchased the airfare with them. WE live in upstate New York but they had us going to Detroit first instead of one of the NY airports. This added numerous hours to our trip. On the way home, we had to go through Atlanta to get home, again adding hours to our already long trip. I also then found out on the trip that my wife and I were not even on the same flight returning than the rest of my group. I fought with the company for hours until they finally rectified the situation.
    The hotels we stayed in were unbelievable. The first was a 3 star hotel in Palermo at best. The locations were FAR from the city centers costing us all a great deal of money on taxi's. I would describe the hotel in Taromina as a bait and switch. First, we were suppose to be in Taromina but ended up in a town called Lettojanni. The hotel was like staying on a Disney cruise!! Tons of children, cheap alcohol, loud music and VERY Far from the center of TAROMINA.
    I can go on and on but will tell you that the customer service has been horrible. I would stay far away from this tour company.

There are times when hotels do need to be farther outside of the city due to limited availability. ***** is a very popular destination in the summertime and we do need to adjust at times to accommodate our tours. As far as quality of hotels, we do take that feedback seriously. However, hotels in Europe and their star rating are not the same as in the US. It can sometimes be hard to compare, but we do want to make sure that our travelers have a consistent experience. As for flights, we are improving our flights team by creating a new customer flights team that will be faster in responding to errors such as the one you experienced with your booking and apologize that it took time to get that mistake changed. We do hope that you did enjoy other parts of the tour, such as the activities included and excursions you participated in, and enjoyed visiting ***** overall.

    I am *****************, formerly *********************************. I am filing a complaint about the EF Go Ahead Tours. I wrote a letter to *********************************** on August 17, 2013 raising the issue of my case. However, ************************ never responded.Background of my case:In June 2021, I was contacted by my friend, *****************************, of *********************************************************************. She was recruiting a group of her friends to go on a *********** tour that is scheduled to take place October *****, 2023. I signed up for the Group Tour, putting down an initial payment of $697.00 on July 5,2021, which was approximately 10% of the Group Tour price of $7,000.However, a few months later, around September of 2021, I had a change of heart, and decided not to join because the price of the tour was very high and I did not want to proceed with the Tour. I informed ****** of my change of heart. ****** informed *******************, the EF Go Ahead Tours group coordinator. ************** wrote an email informing ****** that EF Go Ahead Tours could not give me a refund because the request was made outside the "risk-free period". Even though the trip is still more than two years away. I asked ****** if I can contact ******************* and reason with him, ****** informed me that ******************* was not interested in talking to me, and that the down payment can not be returned. I did not know what to do, and for a while I let the issue dropped.However, as the Group Tour is now only less than three months away, ****** informed me that I has to log into the EF Go Ahead Tours to cancel my reservation. I was surprised by this turn of event. All the while, I thought my reservation was cancelled. Now, they tell me I am responsible for the rest of the cost of the tour, without cancellation.I called EF Go Ahead Tours, and talked to **** and cancelled my reservation. **** then informed me that I there was no record of my $697 payment.I want my money back. EF Go Ahead Tours is cheating me of my money.*****

We did write you an email to clarify the situation regarding your booking, as well as giving the opportunity to speak directly with a senior customer support member. Unfortunately, we never heard back from you. Our hope was to clarify the payment situation with you as a response to your letter to us. We do have a clear cancellation policy that is outlined in our Terms and Conditions, which are both on our website and need to be signed when booking with us. We are very transparent with our cancellation policies and we make sure that the Terms and Conditions are signed so that all customers have the ability to review and ask questions so that situations such as these can be avoided.

    I have traveled with EF Go Ahead Tours to over 50 countries leading over 150 people on public and private tours. I am impressed by the itineraries and excursions on all of my tours. There are many tours to choose from as well as customizing your own tour. The Go Ahead staff is so easy to work with, and they take the worry out of travel. The quality of the accommodations and food is excellent. The tour directors and guides are top notch. They are so knowledgeable and make the trips lifelong learning experiences for my travelers. Many of my travelers have gone on several trips with me due to the quality of the tours. I highly recommend Go Ahead Tours for group travel as well as individual travel.

    EF GO AHEAD TOURS support letter : "Due to low enrollment, we've had to cancel your trip"...It is not professional to cancel 2 fully paid tours due to lack of people enrollment. I tried in two different months, two different Tours, and after paying the full amount, they were not able to recruit enough people to run the tour. I can understand one time, but twice this year ? **************** is extremelly important. Very disappointed with EF.

    Thank you for leaving a review. We understand completely how frustrating it is when a tour gets cancelled, especially one that you are looking forward to. It is rare for this to happen, especially twice in a year, but it is always a possibility. We do need to take into consideration the overall cost of running a tour and the amount of travelers who have signed up. When this does happen, we do refund the trips completely and can easily rebook you to another tour that already meets the minimum traveler requirements. We do hope that you've rebooked with us on a tour that is able to run. If you have felt that our customer service was lacking, please do not hesitate to reach out to us so that we can take your feedback directly.

    Excellent company. Very responsive when contacted and everything went smoothly. Clearly all of the bad reviews are from people who don't do their research and read all the fine print! They provide extensive materials so you can be fully informed if you choose to be!Traveled this spring after we rescheduled two years in a row due to covid (which was easy thanks to very helpful customer service). Had a fantastic time with an AMAZING tour director, and have now booked a second trip for ****. Our trip of a lifetime was all that we expected and more!

    I purchased my first trip a few months ago for *****, which will be in September. My two issues so far have been that they switched the hotels last minute and for a portion of the trip, they have put half the group in a 4-star hotel and the other half in a 3-star with no explanation as to why. I was also told that the actual cost of the flights booked would be almost $2K more than the originally quoted price.There are several tour guide companies and so far, I've been far more pleased with the ones I've previously used.

We are sorry that this unfortunately had to occur on your tour, but we did compensate the group since we knew that it was not our normal procedure and standard. Also, our flight prices can change over the course of 24 hours. It can happen that a quote from even a few days previous can change drastically. Again, we do appreciate the feedback and do hope that you enjoyed other aspects of your tour.
