  I just returned from my first EF tour and it was a trip of a lifetime! The tour was well planned, welcoming and educational. Our tour director was funny and so informative, I wish I could go another guided tour with him. I made many new friends that I hope to travel with again on future EF tours! 2 thumbs up!

  We've been on 10 G/A trips so far, have an 11th booked for this fall and will probably do 2 more in '25. Never been disappointed. Tour Directors are always friendly, informative and take care of whatever comes up. The hotels are consistently good and generally located in convenient areas to explore on your own during free time. The included meals are consistently good as well. Occasionally you get an older hotel, but they are always clean and provide very good included breakfasts. If you want the Ritz, you won't get it, but you're not in the room that much anyway. Local guides are so knowledgeable, they're like professors. G/A suggests a tip of E1-2, but they're easily worth a E5 tip almost always. We always book our own air, mainly because we can get much better itineraries than G/A offers, usually non-stops (EWR), while G/A has you doing two or three legs to finally get to the tour. If you book your own air, you can still get transfers through G/A. Some reviewers have complained about the optional excursions-we usually limit those on any given trip and explore the city we're in on our own after doing some homework & planning ahead of time. We've occasionally gotten to the first city early or stayed an extra night at the end. We love taking public transit (subways, buses, surface trams) as well as walking to get around. The optionals tend to be somewhat expensive for what you get; for instance, a lunch should be included if you're spending $250-300 (per couple) for an optional excursion. Rarely does that happen. This may sound like a negative review, but we're just explaining our routine. GoAhead is an excellent company, and our trips have been wonderful, memories to last a life time. Definitely recommend this tour company!

  EF GoAhead Tours exceeded our expectations. The flights to/from ***** from the ******* which they arranged had minimal layovers. The 6 hotels were all very good, including the locations. The tour director and most local tour guides were great. We pretty much visited all the top sites plus others we wouldnt have planned on our own but so glad they were included. The extra charge excursions were great values. We did most of the excursions. The dinners included were exceptional. Overall, extremely pleased with our tour.

  Just returned from my first Go Ahead tour and it was fantastic. Our tour director was absolutely outstanding. He was knowledgeable, funny, and made us all feel special. The hotels were first class, tours fun and interesting. The On Tour Support staff was also fabulous checking on me when I had a stomach bug. I will definitely do another EF Go Ahead tour.

  This company was awesome. My trip was trouble-free and was the best thing I have done for myself. They did all the work. It was flawless from my flight to ****** to my flight home. The tours were much more than I expected and so much fun. I will be going with them again next year. I am a solo traveler and never felt alone. The tour guide was great and my fellow travelers were friendly.

  My wife and I have taken 6 tours and have our 7 tour scheduled for later this year. There are two main reasons why GoAhead is the only way for me to travel overseas: 1. They make all the plans - air, hotels, transport, excursions (some included and some are extra), tour director, tour guide, and more (logistics are the hardest part of travel) and 2. their group size are fun and manageable. Most tours we have been on have been with 25 to 30 people which is great cause we can move at a good pace, lines are shorter and everyone is family during and after the trip. I cannot imagine traveling international without some sort of planner or operator and cannot imagine a better firm than Go Ahead. Are there challenges with airlines or hotels or meals during trips we have taken - yes - but any and all of those can happen no matter who plans the trip ( I know I have made plans at hotel that ended up having a bad day). I truly think Go Ahead goes out of their way to make every trip a trip of a lifetime. We focus on the things that are hard about international travel - logistics - hotels, air, ground/water transportation, having someone at our side that speaks the language, someone the knows the ropes and times to be at sites before the crowds for the best experience, someone with you that can advise you on what to do when you have free time or just want a break. WE have made lifelong friends on Go Ahead tours and have taken our family and best friends with us as a result of our experiences. Do let a bad hotel choice or a bad meal or a disaster travel day keep you from the trip of a lifetime. while others have not been happy, I cannot be more happy with customer support at Go ********************** - every bit of help I have wanted before a trip is taken care of. All names get blocked on these reviews but she knows who she is - Thanks Go Ahead and see you on the road.
