      My conversation with a zip rep.. this all started when i rented a car on Monday August 4, 2024 from 4am to 8pm in which the car was in operable come 9am.....This is ridiculous! I paid all tolls by cash. So due to yall mishaps I'm being charged again.. so let me understand this. In total all tolls added up to 34$. All in which I paid in cash! So your telling me I paid all in cash except for a 6$ toll?First the car breaks down mid trip! Glad we made it there safely. Riding the last hour on the highway with Hazzard lights on doing 30 in a 65 speed limit. I call the issue in at 10am in the morning to be told the car will be towed and for me to find another way home and send the receipt in to be reimbursed. Tow truck says they'll be to me by 12pm but didn't show up til after 10pm. On hold for 45mins awaiting to get access to the car...send the receipt in then called to verify it was received to be told I was only going to be reimbursed 35$ when I paid 182 to get home. I WILL NEVER RENT ANOTHER CAR FROM YOU! I SHOULD'VE PAID ATTENTION TO THE REVIEWS

      Double charges and was charge towing fee that you should not be responsible for when you attempt to return vehicle to designated spot on time but another non Zipcar vehicle is parked in the spots and contact Zipcar to make them aware of the matter

      Opened an account **************************** took an application fee.Took a pressing fee, but wouldnt let me book a car to get to work.Locked my card on third attempt to book.Called support and they couldnt explain to my why my card wouldnt process.Simply told to try again in 24 hoursThey had no problem getting those fees tho!!!

      Wholly disappointing. Great concept, but customer service is appalling. The app gives error messages that are misleading and prevent planning. Moreover, despite the amount of personal info that users are required to provide on their portal (enough for hackers to conduct identity fraud!), there is no means for ex-users to have their data expunged.

      I would give 0 stars if I could zipcar took my money for an application fee 5 times and denied me all 5 times due to requirements needing to be met which I do meet all of their requirements that they said I need when I called them about it they were rude about the situation saying that they cant do anything about it and I cant get my money back they can deny me if they feel like doing it which is terrible I found out about them through a friend whos license has been suspended and yet still they were approved even with 40 driving violations and tickets zipcar is full of bs and shouldnt be a business anymore

      Absolute worst organization and customer service and disgusting cars. The cars always stink of cigarettes. I got a car once that had a spare tire on it and was shaking during the trip. I ran in to traffic and tried to extend the trip but the app said my account was on hold for violating a guideline. (They later told me a toll had come through during the trip and counted as an overdue balance & suspended my account mid trip). When I got to the drop off place there was no parking so I had to wait for someone to leave. They charged me the $50 late fee. I called and was on hold for a long time before speaking with someone and being put on hold again where the call was dropped. Called back and after another hour of waiting and talking with someone I was told it was in review and would be taken care of. I called back today because the charge was still there. The call was dropped again and when I called back I was told that there was no record of the second person I spoke with who said she would take care of it. At first I was told I couldn't extend mid trip because of the $3 till that I didn't know about and then I was told that because the app wouldn't allow me to extend the trip someone else was effected. All of this is poor organization on their end. I was going to spend $150 on trips today but how can I put my safety and plans in the hands of this completely untrustworthy company? Now the supervisor claims she called me "multiple times" and won't speak with me (she called once while I was working and then at 6am. I want to close my membership, but they refuse to close unless I pay their fraudulent charges. Insane way to run a business.

      Charged me a nonrefundable $25 application fee only to find that all the cars in my area are $300/day (3x what rental cars are in my neighborhood). I called to cancel the service, they said they can't cancel because my application is in review (and they can't refund me the application fee even though the application isn't reviewed!) I couldn't hear the representative and there was loud static the whole time. Absolutely the worst service and I lost my $25 for nothing. They need to be more upfront about their pricing and have more flexibility (I called 2 mins after the application was submitted to retract it & get a refund).

      I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with the recent experience I had with Zipcar service. I had a reservation which resulted in numerous issues, significantly impacting my experience.Upon receiving the vehicle, I discovered it was in a deplorable state, clearly not maintained to the expected standard. Furthermore, the gas card provided was non-functional, compounding the inconvenience. Leaving having to end my reservation early. When I approached the customer service representative to address these concerns, I was met with disregard. The representative, displaying unprofessional behavior, laughed at my complaint and failed to take my concerns seriously. Additionally, they declined my request to escalate the matter to a supervisor. Then promised a call back that was never recieved.The resolution offered was inadequate and did not address the fundamental problems I encountered. Overall, I am thoroughly dissatisfied with the service and the handling of my complaint.I hope this feedback will be taken seriously to prevent similar incidents in the future.I was told by a representative...they do not refund your money even if they are in the wrong. I suggest you stay clear or guard your back...weighing if the need fir a car matches the possible issues you may face. This used to be a really great company. I can total think of ways to improve service but at this point I am really just disappointed.

      This company commits fraud. I was going to open an account and decided not to since I would be charged a $25 application fee and $5:50 service fee just to open the account. I never even read the terms of agreement nor did I check off on the box and authorize a payment to be taken. Not even 3 minutes after logging out of the account, I was charged without my authorization. I immediately called the customer service line and was greeted with the most rude and obnoxious person you ever want to meet. She blatantly cut me off and had a atrociously nasty attitude with me asking her why I was charged when I didn't authorize the charge. She told me she wasn't going to repeat herself and after asking for a manager she told me I would get a call back and did not explain why I could not be transferred to a manager immediately. After asking her several times to be transferred she purposely hung up on me without hesitation. Please think twice about who you do business with as this company is very much committing fraud and not being apologetic about it nor do they give a care. I will be following a complaint in every way possible because people do not deserve this kind of service especially for an unauthorized charge to their account without consent, approval, or notice. This is mortifying that companies would even do this and act in this manner. I would give no stars if I could.

      I booked a zipcar to use for 24 hours this morning. I went to the car and the zipcar app was not working. I thought it was my phone but it wouldn't even let me login to the webite vis browser. It was attempting to tell me i need to continue finishing my application when i already have an account. I walked 1 mile to get to the car in the rain. No one from zipcar reached out about this issue. Nothing on their social media account about this. No communication to the customer at all. This issue caused me to be late to an event. I finally connected through IG support after already leaving the car to catch a train and i was told they were aware of the issue but it could take up to a day to be fixed and that they couldn't issue me a refund until the issue was resolved. No one reached out to me when the app was working again so i had to keep checking thoughout the day. I saw after 6 hours since i originally checked, the app was working. I called customer support ( staff is in ************ ) and explained to them i want a refund because of this issue with their system and she responded by asking me what is the issue with the car. The customer service has been below satisfactory since i joined. They do not seem to be trained to handle issues. Prior issues involved the car's window having a piece of the rubber hanging on two different cars i got. One car was dirty like it hadnt been washed in months. One car was not parked in the correct location and i had to call support to find out where it was. To make up for this waste of time all they did was extend my ride by 30 mins. They do not seem to care about inconveniences. No empthat on the phone. Very robotic.Zipcar could be great but whoever is running this company needs to see how customers are being treated when issues arise. Im going to save up for a car zipcar is not worth it. Book through classic rental car companies instead everyone.
