  No verification on the first call. Just a guy saying that I owe $9,000 on a car that was stolen 4 years ago and paid off in full by my insurance agency. Second caller asked me to verify my social security number without identifying himself. Then theres the text messagelol. By the way, none of this is in my credit report.

  I received a letter dated May 9th, 2024 from Unifin stating that i had a balance of $1020.11 by a creditor that I do not know or have an affiliation with. (Smart Leasing, LLC)3 options to settle. In full, over 3 months, or 12 months. Letter could look legit but smelled a rat! Further than the truth, a complete FRAUD!!!! If you receive a letter from UNIFIN, **** do your research. I am in high hopes that by filing with the BBB that you will not be their next victim/SCAM. Not worth a star rating!******, **

  same thing, email was sent from an *****************************, when i said it was fake they argued and became irate, they transferred me to a supervisor and at which point I told him I was recording the call, he immediately hung up and blocked my number lol. Total scam company and the 847 number is a is a scam as well, it literally tells me I won a 100 gift card to ********

  This company does some illegal calling and spamming. Tries to get you to verify yourself without even stating who they are. When called back and confronted they quickly end the call. These people are fraudsters. They should not be in business.

  I just received this textThis is Unifin a debt collector Contact us about ref#@ (phone number) or ***************************** ChargesMayApply Reply STOP to stop texts I got online and got a phone number from their website. I called them and gave the reference number. They asked me to verify my name and the last four of my social. They verified my name and address. They said they were calling about a debt from 2007 from ***** I dont have any debt with **** from 2007. I told them they needed to send me verification of the debt. They told me I had to send them proof that the debt didnt exist. Thats not how that works. I feel like this is a scam! Please be aware to not give them any information at all!! They need to be shut down!!

  I got a email stating I was in collections with a link, reference number and a phone number. I have not received any mail or e-mail regarding this issue. I am not in collections for anything or atleast have no reason to be. Out of curiosity to see if it was a scam I called and gave the reference number. It was for a man that I have never even heard of. The phone number was also not the number that pops up on ******* I decided to start questioning the lady about the legitimacy of the company, where they are located etc etc. she then hungup. I called back and after a very long dead silence and the same lady picked up the phone saying I already spoke to you it wasnt for you. This once again seemed even more like a scam getting the same customer service reps 3 times in a row because I called again to see if someone else picked up. I have no idea how they got my number and they just kept saying the guys name but refused to give any other info about the text or their company in general. I am going to assume this is a scam based on my experience and others on reviews and other posts elsewhere.

  These ******** are the Worst! Unethical and illegal practices, Ive had Identity Theft twice, the first one dating back to 2006 and these guys are attempting to collect a debt that A. Was identity theft and resolved already, and B. From 18 years ago! Thats almost 3xs the statute of limitations, So theyre buying illegal debts in a **** poor attempt someone is ****** enough to actually fall for this type of illegal and highly unethical type of behavior.   Im paying off a debt w/them and is trying to get a settlement after making three consecutive payments which they told me to call after doing so with the number they provided but it automatically FAILS SOON AS I HIT SEND! CANT REACH ANYINE!

  Was able to get in touch with a live person and not a machine. Helpful staff who were sure to provide me with a direct line, and to speedily schedule and reschedule payments I needed to make on my Amazon card. I'm grateful.

  I have continued to received text from this company even though I am not the person they are trying to contact. I have opted out of their text no less than 7 times and they continue to text me over and over again. The first text told me the persons name they want contact. That is not me, and the continued text are harassing now.
