1 starVery fraudulent intro letter sent to recent car buyers. Asking them to activate their membership. I call asking, why am I having to activate. Not join but activate. I bought an extended warranty with the dealership. They never said, join. Then asked for payment. I'm asking payment for what. I've already paid. All of this is pure fraud! They say just enough to make you think this is all part of your original contract. The fact that this is allowed in our Country is a travesty!Sky Auto Protection

1 starSky Auto Protection is an absolute ****. I was informed that I needed to pay an activation fee for my car's warranty, which I thought was purchased through the dealership and financed as part of the auto loan. Sure enough, I called to activate the warranty, paid what I was told would be a one-time activation fee, then said I would receive a pamphlet in the mail. The pamphlet somehow now has me paying for 24 additional months despite already having an existing warranty on my car. At no point in time was it explained that I would be paying for 24 additional months. In fact, I called after the second charge, talked to ****, who suggested to simply read the packet. I recommend everyone to steer very clear of Sky Auto Protection.Sky Auto Protection

Sky Protection is a marketer of vehicle service contracts through third party service contract companies. The solicitation specifically discloses to you, the consumer, that Sky Protection is not affiliated with any dealer or manufacturer. You received the solicitation in the event you chose not to activate a service agreement through the dealer you purchased the vehicle from. Sky Protections customer ********************** team member fielded your call to activate coverage. During the call, the team member disclosed on two occasions the fee for the contract was recurring for the 24 months. The first disclosure occurred at the time of the offer, with the second after you provided your bank information to draft your account. Both disclosures advised payments would be recurring for the first 24 months of the 60-month coverage term. We understand you may have changed your mind and can choose to cancel the coverage. Should you wish to cancel the coverage please contact the customer ********************** number and they will be happy to assist you.Review fromTruc T

1 starThis company as obvious as it seems has been giving out misleading informations. Along with that is very poor customer ********************** who would have an attitude with you if you call to cancel your plan even though you have every right to do so as a customer. Not just that, they refuse to dispute a refund after it has been requested and no service was ever used whatsoever. No matter what you say, they will always have a way around it, that's the way they run their business. Find better options.Sky Auto Protection

1 starIt is a ****! They sent me a notice to extend car warranty but when I inquired more they did not seem associated with my car manufacturer or the dealer. Beware they send a notice which looks legitimate but if you are observant like me, you will realize that notice does not have any company name or any authenticity to it.Sky Auto Protection

Thank you for the feedback. We ask that you re-review the letter you received. Sky Protection is a marketer of vehicle service contracts for third party service contract companies. The letter contains a prominent box wherein it advises the recipient that Sky is not associated with a dealer or the car manufacturer. Additionally, in this same box it identifies the name of the service contract companies depending on your state of residence.

1 starI just received yet another letter from SP Activation Service. Thanks so much for reminding me that my car's factory warranty is about to run out. Funny how that is because I bought a car for our local dealership, used, no warranty. Yet somehow SP Activation is warning me if I do not act now, I will be responsible for any and all repairs on my car once my warranty lapses. The letter does not contain my car's VIN, make, or even the dealership name. I did ****** the phone number I am supposed to call to activate this great extended warranty. Know what came up? Warranty Scam, "Warning Boston 25 news warns of warranty scams" The Federal Trade Commission's website.SO SP Activation Services, please elaborate how you are not scamming when any intelligent person can read what the Federal Trade Commission's website says about your practices. ************** is a marketer of vehicle service contracts through service contract providers. You received a marketing solicitation offering a vehicle service contract, often times referred to as a warranty by consumers. Offers are sometimes made to consumers who recently purchased a used vehicle in the event the dealership either did not offer one to you or you elected to decline their offer. Our company is not associated with any dealer or manufacturer and the solicitation disclosed that ************** is not affiliated with any dealer/manufacturer. Please be advised the reference in the Boston 25 News report is regarding a Home Warrantys and the *** action you reference is for outbound telemarketing robocalling to consumers. Neither of these are associated with our company. Our company does not conduct outbound telemarketing sales nor was the solicitation for a home warranty. You, the consumer, can choose who you do business with. You can inquire regarding the offer or discard it. We are requesting our sales team to remove you from their list.Review fromGregory W

1 starI am writing to file a formal complaint against Sky Protection regarding their deceptive mailings that impersonate official communications and attempt to persuade individuals to purchase their products. Such unethical marketing practices not only mislead consumers but also undermine trust and transparency within the industry. Today, I received a mailing from Sky Protection that bore a striking resemblance to an official or regulatory document. The envelope was designed to look like it contained essential information regarding my existing insurance policies or legal obligations. The enclosed letter continued this deceptive pattern, leading me to believe that immediate action was required. The contents of the mailing included language that strongly insinuated a requirement to purchase Sky Protection's product, which was portrayed as essential for my personal and financial well-being. The use of fear tactics and the impression that I had a preexisting relationship with Sky Protection were particularly alarming and misleading.Upon closer inspection, it became evident that the mailing was not affiliated with anyone I currently engage with and Sky Protection had no legitimate connection to my existing insurance policies or financial obligations. This deliberate attempt to create a false sense of urgency and necessity for their product was both unethical and misleading.I strongly believe that such deceptive marketing practices harm consumers and tarnish the reputation of legitimate businesses within the industry.I kindly request that the BBB investigate this matter promptly and take appropriate action against Sky Protection to prevent further deceptive marketing practices. It is my hope that this complaint will contribute to raising awareness about the unethical conduct of this company and discourage them from continuing these misleading tactics.I trust that the BBB will act in the best interest of consumers & maintain the integrity of the marketplace.Review fromSteven N
