Thank you for the feedback.Sky Protection is a marketer of vehicle service contracts for third party service contract companies. Sky Protection provides a valued opportunity for consumers to make an informed decision whether to purchase coverage to protect their investment. You received the letter so, as a consumer, you can choose whether to activate a service contract in the event your dealer may have not offered you the opportunity to purchase one when you acquired your vehicle. The solicitation includes a notice that Sky Protection is not associated with any dealer or manufacturer.Review fromLukacs D

1 starThis company is engaged in a deceptive practice of sending out letters after you purchase a new vehicle purporting to be a notice to "activate" your extended warranty that you purchased at the dealership. The letter includes your name and address along with information about the vehicle you purchased to fool you into believing that this is in connection with a policy that you purchased. They hide in small print the fact that they are not connected with any dealer. If you receive such a letter, which is usually sent on some red paper or something similar, do not call or contact them. I recently purchased a vehicle and paid for the extended warranty. Because I had yet to receive anything in the mail about the warranty policy, I presumed that this letter was regarding that policy. I called the number to "activate" my policy, and the person on the phone insinuated that it was the policy on my new vehicle. She then asked me to pay the "activation" fee, which seemed strange, but after I asked about it it was a one-time, non-recurring payment. I paid the fee and received a confirmation number, but no emails or anything to confirm the payment. The next day, I did more research and learned that this is a third-party company completely independent from the dealership who preys on people who purchase new vehicles. I called them and mentioned this and asked to cancel, and the person on the line was pushy and kept insisting that I should keep the policy. After a few minutes of him trying to push me into keeping the policy and me repeating the same lines of just wanting to cancel, eventually he said he cancelled it and gave me a confirmation number and supposedly a confirmation will come in the mail. I am not sure if I will ever get the "activation" fee refunded. I cancelled my debit card and requested a new one to ensure that this company does not retain any of my financial information. If you receive a letter from them, do not call. Just throw it in the trash.Sky Auto Protection

Our records indicate you initially contacted us on September 19, 2023, regarding a solicitation you received for a vehicle service agreement. 1 starThe letters they've sent me strongly imply I'd be liable for any prior auto repairs and/or expenses *unless* I reached out immediately. I did my research before calling them because there wasn't any kind of disclaimer and/or small print stating otherwise. The paper is pink too, suggesting urgency. It should be illegal to send such misleading correspondence. The average American is living paycheck to paycheck right now. It's a scam - don't call them!Sky Auto Protection

Thank you for your feedback. We ask that you re-review the letter you received. Sky Protection is a marketer of vehicle service contracts for third party service contract companies. The letter contains a prominent box wherein it advises the recipient that Sky is not associates with a dealer or the car manufacturer. Additionally, in this same box it identifies the name of the service contract companies depending on your state of residence.
Our sales team has removed you from our mailing list.

1 starMy husband mistakenly assumed they were legitimate and asked me to set up an account for him. I did this and we were charged $181 for "vehicle protection" the month of September. Our CC company denied the charge at first which screams "this is a scam," and I didn't think anything else of it. The following day I received two calls. Both individuals left voicemails saying their payment was "past due," but I never signed on to pay $181 for "vehicle protection" when we have full coverage insurance and had set up an extended warranty with the dealer. (Speaking of which, the dealership we got the car from denied any affiliation.) I tried to cancel it and was met with a lot of reluctance, and because I figured it was a scam at this point and knew my CC company would not accept another payment, I left it. They continued charging us and leaving voicemails within an HOUR of a "missed payment". NO LEGITIMATE COMPANY DOES THIS. (Legitimate companies also have websites for anyone reading this--the most I could find were multiple Reddit threads in r/scams). I had to call them to cancel the account so I did. I was polite and then I was put through to a "supervisor" in Customer **********************. I was asked why I wanted to cancel and I said they were predatory, and as soon as I said this, the man started yelling at me!! He then decided I couldn't cancel it because my husband was unavailable. It's a good thing I recorded the entire call because I am going to get in contact with my Congressional representatives on this matter. I have NEVER encountered anyone so rude in my life. His rudeness was another huge sign it's a scam. No one legitimate would EVER yell at a customer! DO NOT CONTACT THEM WHEN YOU GET THEIR SPAM MAIL.Sky Auto Protection

You received the letter so as a consumer, you can choose whether to activate a service contract in the event your dealer may not have offered you the opportunity to purchase one when you acquired your vehicle. During the August 23,2023 call, the team member disclosed on two occasions the $181.40 fee for the contract was recurring for 24 months. 1 starSky Auto Protection is nothing but a scam. They send you a letter in the mail and word it to make you think you havent activated your extended warranty. When I called number and asked if it was the extended warranty I bought at dealership the guy on the phone said finessed me and made me believe it was. Come to find out it isn't and they just confuse people into thinking it is the warranty purchased prior and just needs to be activated for a one time fee. Thankfully AMEX noticed the transaction blocked it and got ahold of me. When I called sky protection their customer ********************** stuck to the response of they never finesse anyone and that they are more than clear what it is about. Nope thats a lie. And from looking at reviews its done all the time by them. At what point are they to be held responsible. Because they claim all their calls are recorded but if so they then have the proof that the guy on the other line lied to me and wasnt truthful about what I was activating. And I know this review will get another generic response that they are clear in their intentions but its all a lie. I just feel bad for the people they actually got money from.Sky Auto Protection

Sky Protection is a marketer of vehicle service contracts through third party service contract companies. The Solicitation specifically discloses to you the consumer, that Sky Protection is not affiliated with any dealer or manufacturer. You received the solicitation in the event you chose not to activate a service agreement through the dealer you purchased the vehicle from. The notices provided you notice Sky is not associated with your dealer and afforded the opportunity to inquire about the coverage as well as any relationship your dealer may have with our company. On September 23rd, Sky Protections customer ********************** team member fielded your call and to activate coverage at your request. During the call, the team member disclosed on two occasions the fee for the contract was recurring for the first 18 months. The first disclosure occurred at the time of the offer, with the second after you provided your credit card information to draft your account. Both disclosures advised payments would be recurring for the first 18 months of the 60-month coverage term. We understand consumers may change their mind. On October 23rd you contacted the company, and the contract was voided at your request.

1 starI am not a customer, this company spam's you with letters telling you time is running out of time for a car warranty. The company wants to trick you into paying for a useless car warranty. This company needs to be stopped for misleading and trying to trick people into paying for a warranty that you can get from a reputable dealership.
