Sky Protection provides a valued opportunity for consumers to make an informed decision whether to purchase coverage to protect their investment. You received the letter so, as a consumer, you can choose whether to activate a service contract in the event your dealer may not have offered you the opportunity to purchase on when you acquired your vehicle.

Received a letter that I have not contacted them to activate a VEHICLE SERVICE AGREEMENT. They pressured to call by 4/5/2024:"our records indicate that you have not contacted us to activate a vehicle service agreement for your VEHICLE. Please call 1-877-351-XXXX and have your VIN number available to activate coverage" Funny how their "records" seem to be missing the **** Then further pressured with "This may be the only attempt to contact you about your vehicle service contract" Also funny how my "Coverage ID number" is completely different than the account number of the warranty I purchased at the dealership. To all car buyers, please be aware of these deceptive practices.

I received a doc in the mail regarding vehicle protection, which read as though I had requested information from Sky Protection. I did not. What is alarming is that this company has my address, and could theoretically enroll me in one of their protection plans without my knowledge. I would like to report them as either a scam or a fraudulent attempt at obtaining my information which might be used to steal my identity, etc.I will also be notifying the ******** Attorney General and Consumer Protection Agency offices to make them aware of the potential harm that this company could do.Thank you.

I have received unsolicited mail from Sky Protection. I want to be deleted from the database completely, however my only two options are to 1) Call or 2) send mail and pay for the postage. I don't care to do either of those. There is NO EMAIL address listed anywhere. This is sloppy marketing and it is deceitful making it look like it's a warranty. I detest this kind of marketing, and moreover, I detest unsolicited mail that gives me limited choices on how to unsubscribe/request deletion of my private data. Shame on you.

Scam artists. This company contacted me thru text. Stating my warranty was going to expire if I didn't take activate it. I had purchased a vehicle 3 months earlier and bought an aftermarket warranty at time of purchase. I contacted the company and explained that I had purchased a new policy already. Thinking it was with them. She nicely explained she couldn't find it, but we could make sure to get it going so I don't lose coverage. Thought I was being helped. NO 2 months later got a new cc#. The following month I received text from Sky saying I was late on a payment. I started asking myself why is there a payment, I was pretty sure I paid up front from at the time of purchase for the vehicle. Went back to the dealer to find out that Sky **** was just some company acting as if they were the company I had a policy through. This whole problem stemmed from an unwanted unsolicited text from Sky **** pretending to be the warranty company I purchased a warranty from previously. F@#! SKY AUTO

Thank you for taking the time to contact us ****************.Our records indicate that you contacted our office on 12/08/2023 regarding an offer you received via mail to set up a vehicle service agreement. During this call, our representative thoroughly explained the benefits and costs associated with the agreement. At no point during the conversation did you mention having prior coverage, nor would we have any way of knowing your existing coverage status without you providing that information. Subsequently, on 03/19/2024, you contacted our customer ********************** line with questions, and our representative provided assistance, advising you to check your paperwork to verify your coverage and you decided to keep the coverage while you did so. On 03/21/2024, you called back to inform us that you already had coverage. Despite your hostility and use of inappropriate language, our representative assisted you in canceling your agreement.Furthermore, on 03/25/2024, you again called our customer ********************** line with a hostile demeanor, this time regarding a refund. Unfortunately, despite our representative's attempts to discuss the prorated refund process with you, you did not allow for a constructive conversation, leading to the call being disconnected. If you would like to discuss your prorated refund option further, we encourage you to reach out via email at **********************************************************

Sky Protection is a marketer of vehicle service contracts through service contract providers. You received a marketing solicitation offering a vehicle service contract, often times referred to as a warranty by consumers. Offers are made to consumers who recently purchased a used vehicle in the event the dealership either did not offer one to the customer or the customer elected to decline their offer. This allows the consumer to choose who they do business with. They can inquire regarding the offer or discard it.We have requested you be removed from our mailing list.

Seems very predatory. They should be fined for the kind of mail they send to people. I think it could easily confuse recipients

This company is a scam. I lost $250 dollars to this company. Luckily I cancelled my card so they cannot charge me any more. This company acts like they are a factory warranty company, or a company for a warranty you already purchased. They will tell you it's a one time fee, and hide all their other recurring fees in fast talking (verbal version of fine print). This company is fraudulent and a scam and should not be legal.

Thank you for your feedback. We ask that you re-review the letter you received. Sky Protection is a marketer of vehicle service contracts for third party service contract companies. The letter contains a prominent box wherein it advises the recipient that Sky is not associated with a dealer or the car manufacturer. Additionally, in this same box it identifies the name of the service contract companies depending on your state of residence. Our records indicate that you called in on January 12, 2024, to set up a vehicle service agreement. During the call, our representative clearly explained the coverage details and associated cost of $218.79 recurring for the first 18 months. At no point did the representative claim to be affiliated with a dealership or manufacturer. On February 28, 2024, you called in to our customer ********************** department and requested to cancel and the representative assisted with doing so.

VERY misleading. I had just gotten a new (to me) car with a new warranty on it through the dealership. A couple months later I get a piece of mail from what looks to be my dealership saying I need to pay a 1 time fee to activate my warranty. Call in and the guy I'm talking to confirms SEVERAL times that this is only a 1 time payment and NO recurring payments will happen afterwards. That was a straight up lie!! I've been charged $250 the last 3 months without noticing by this scummy company!

Sky Protection is a marketer of vehicle service contracts through third party service contract companies. The Solicitation specifically discloses to you the consumer, that Sky Protection is not affiliated with any dealer or manufacturer. You received the solicitation in the event you chose not to activate a service agreement through the dealer you purchased the vehicle from. The mailer provided you notice Sky Auto Protection is not associated with your dealer and afforded the opportunity to inquire about the coverage as well as any relationship your dealer may have with our company. On May 18, 2023, Sky Protections customer ********************** team member fielded your call and to activate coverage at your request. During the call, the team member disclosed on two occasions the fee for the contract was recurring for the first 18 months. The first disclosure occurred at the time of the offer, with the second after you provided your credit card information to draft your account. Both disclosures advised payments would be recurring for the first 18 months of the 60-month coverage term. We understand consumers may change their mind. On February 19, 2024 you contacted the company, and the contract was voided at your request. If we can be of further assistance, please notify this office.
