    I received an email from ********************************************** regarding a debt that does not exist with ******** In addition to the non existent debt with *******, the email address they used to contact me did not exist when I had a ******* account.     On 1/10/25 these guys decided to put this as a collection on my credit report on behalf of ******* for $551. This was paid to ******* on 6/6/24 and I have proof from my bank account and should of never been reported to the credit bureau as it was paid months before they decided to report it. Second I am a victim of trafficking and this was asked to be blocked and is in violation of the law for that.

    Dear Customer Relations Representative of the Better Business Bureau and ***** **** of Sequium Asset Solutions LLC,
    Thank you for your follow-up regarding this complaint. I appreciate the BBBs efforts to mediate this matter and assist in resolving the ongoing issue with ******* and Sequium Asset Solutions.


    To provide additional context:


    -*******s Original Billing Error: After numerous calls and extensive discussions with *******s account executives, I was assured that I owed no outstanding balance and that the in-house collections account would be removed from my credit report as of October 4th, 2024. This was confirmed by ******** account executive AJ multiple times on September 25th, 2024.
    -Unexpected Transfer to Collections: Despite *******s assurances, the account was subsequently sold to Sequium Asset Solutions resulting in a new collections notice being placed on my credit report. This action has caused significant harm to my financial standing.
    -Lack of Valid Debt Documentation: I have not received proper validation of this debt from Sequium Asset Solutions as required under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA). The *** bill provided by ******* is insufficient to establish the validity of the debt, particularly given *******s prior acknowledgment that no balance was due.


    My Request:


    To resolve this matter, I respectfully request the following:
    -Immediate Removal of Collections ***** Given *******s own confirmation that I do not owe any outstanding balance, there is no possibility of validating this debt under the requirements of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA). As such, I am requesting the immediate and permanent removal of all associated collections marks from my credit reports across all major credit bureaus. Failure to do so perpetuates demonstrable harm to my financial standing and violates my rights as a consumer.

    Thank you for the response from Sequium Asset Solutions LLC. However, their reply does not resolve this matter completely and contains statements that need to be addressed.


    -Lack of Proper Debt Validation Sequium asserts that they have already provided validation and considers my dispute duplicative. However, the only document provided is a bill from ******** which does not meet the legal standard for proper validation under 15 U.S.C. 1692g of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA). A simple bill does not constitute proof that the debt is valid, that I owe it, or that Sequium has the legal right to collect it.
    -Disregarding Comcasts Own Acknowledgment ******** the original creditor, has confirmed that I do not owe this debt. Despite this, Sequium continues to assert that the debt exists, which is misleading and potentially in violation of consumer protection laws. The continued attempt to validate an unowed debt raises serious legal concerns.
    -Credit Reporting and False Resolution Claim While Sequium states they requested a tradeline deletion, the credit bureau ********** had already investigated and removed this collection before their request, recognizing that the debt was invalid. Their response misrepresents the resolution process, and any continued reporting of this debt by Sequium or any future third party would be a clear violation of my rights under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA).
    -Dismissing Legitimate Concerns The response suggests that my concerns are based on feelings rather than facts. However, the facts are clear:
    -Comcast has confirmed I do not owe this balance.
    -********** has already determined the debt was invalid and removed it.
    -Sequium has failed to provide legally sufficient debt validation.


    Final Demand to Sequium


    Given these facts, I demand that Sequium:
    -Immediately and permanently cease all claims regarding this debt. Any further attempt to collect, report, or transfer this invalid debt would be considered a violation of my rights.
    -Confirm in writing that this account should never have been in collections and that no further action will be taken.
    Provide assurance that this account will not be sold, reassigned, or transferred to any other collection agency in an attempt to restart the collections process.
    -If this matter is not fully resolved, I am prepared to escalate this further, including filing formal complaints with the ************************************ (****), the ************************ (***), the **************************************, and seeking legal remedies for any damages caused by their actions.

    The collection agency that committed the violation was Sequium Asset Solution. I paid them $346.44 on 11/02/24 which was for two cellular phones ************ and my wife's ************, and when I spoke with ******* ***** ************ , he refused to speak with me and requested that I call Verzion which I did, and spoke with ******** from the recovery department ************ which was not helpful either, and requested that I send her proof that this is on my credit profile which I did and provided you the same. I have no negatives on my credit for all my credit profiles, and it seems that I have to go back and forth with them, this is why I am filing a report on the matter. They should pay for every violation committed to the consumer, and from my understanding, this should have never been on my credit profiles.     I am not liable for this debt with SEQUIUM ASSET SOLUTIONS, LLC. I do not have a contract with SEQUIUM ASSET SOLUTIONS, LLC. They did not provide me with the original contract as requested.

    Dear ************************************************* is in receipt of your dispute and complaint. Sequium is a debt collector. On October 28, 2024, AT&T U-Verse placed your account ending 2687 with Sequium for collection efforts with a balance of $336.72. On October 29, 2024, in accordance with the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), Sequium e-mailed to you the model validation letter advising of your rights as it relates to this debt to the email address ******************************.  

    Please be advised that Sequium does not own this debt but instead is a debt collector collecting on behalf of AT&T U-Verse. Your account was placed with our office to collect a debt due to them.

    In response to your complaint, your account was placed in a dispute status and supporting documentation validating the debt has been requested from AT&T U-Verse; such documentation will be e-mailed to the address on file. As we await a response from the client, collection activity by Sequium will continue to be paused on this account.
