    Sequium Asset Solutions called me to say I owe $126.25 to Xfinity from an old address. I knew that was wrong so I called Xfinity and they said I have paid in full and owe nothing. I'm attaching the chat. Also I was contacted before by scammers calling themselves Xfinity and saying I owed money. I paid them and then got fraudulent charges on my credit card. I think Sequium is part of that scammer group. I have attached the Xfinity chat that says I owe nothing and they didn't refer me to a collections agency.

    Sequium Asset Solutions is a legitimate and licensed collection agency authorized to operate in the state of Florida under license number **********.

    As of the date the account was placed with Sequium, we have not received any notification from ************** indicating that the balance is no longer owed. The documentation you provided shows differently. We are sorry for the confusion the conflicting information may have caused. Upon receipt of your complaint, the account was promptly placed in dispute status, and your concern has been escalated to ************** for further investigation and review. Once we receive additional information from them, unless you request otherwise, we will be in contact to provide you with an update.

    Do not work with this collection agency. Work direct with the company if you want to resolve your collection. I paid them the settlement amount that they told me ******* was offering then never reported it as resolved or collected. So even after paying them I was still unable to resolve my account. The settlement was not approved by *******. This company is a scam. Trust me and dont waste your time with them.

    I am rejecting this response because:

    Attached is a lease with myself and another ****** ****** ****** which was no longer the lease agreement I had with ******* as Mr. ****** was removed from this lease. ******* allowed me to stay on this lease after Mr. ****** moved out never informing me that I was not applicable financially to meet requirements of a primary lease signer. In the event that I was not applicable to meet requirements as a primary leaser signer ******* legally could not allow me to sign another lease after Mr. ****** decided to remove himself. Not only was I not applicable but ******* didnt inform me until weeks later that another person who signed a lease ********* ****** had never formally signed the agreement. In this case ******* said that I was not able financially to be on this lease on my own which required me to move out. This decision was made by the policy of the complex not by my choice. If I was unable to be on a lease and was asked to move out Im not liable to pay a debt fee to them when I wasnt legally allowed to stay on a lease. If in the event I was willingly choosing to move out before my lease was over then I would understand responsibility of these charges. That unfortunely was not the case and is a reflection on Olympus. I will not be responsible for paying a late move out notice with this company when I legally was not allowed to stay in this apartment on my own and was asked by them to move out. Again this is not the most recent lease agreement so as stated before Im not liable for this debt that states the lease you have sent me is a prior lease that is not up to date on people that were on the lease, dates of the lease ended, nor monthly rent price that was due. I also want to specify I never formally signed any paperwork emailed to me by ******* stating I was responsible for terminating my own lease as that was not the agreement. I was asked to move out by the complex due to not being able to be on the lease alone.

    On January 13, 2025, ************** engaged Sequium for the services of attempting to collect the outstanding balance on the following account:

    On January 14, 2025, in accordance with the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (*****), Sequium sent you a Model Validation Notice via email to the email address ********************* advising you of your rights as it relates to this debt.

    In review of your account, this matter was initially reported to the consumer reporting agencies on or around March 17, 2025. This reporting was done in accordance with Regulation F of the ***** which permits reporting no less than fourteen days after the debt collector has either spoken with you concerning the debt or sent to you the model validation notice via mail or electronically. Our records do not show that the January 14, 2025, Model Validation Notice returned. Additionally, our records do not reflect receipt of any disputes concerning this matter prior to this reporting which would have violated the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). In light of this, Sequiums actions were compliant with both the *****, ****, and any applicable state statutes.

    Reference ******** Amount- $15,895.65 Sequium Asset Solutions continues to violate my rights under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) and Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA). I have no contractual relationship with this company and have not authorized them to access, report, or manage any of my personal or financial information.I have made multiple requests for debt validation under 15 U.S.C. 1692g of the ****** but Sequium has failed to comply. Despite this, they continue to report an unverified and inaccurate debt to various consumer and business credit reporting agencies, which violates 15 U.S.C. 1681i and 1681s-2 of the *****This ongoing reporting is unlawful and harmful, and I am demanding that all reporting be immediately deleted. Additionally, all collection activity must cease, including communication by phone, mail, or any other means. This includes reporting to credit bureaus, government agencies, ****************, or any other third party.If Sequium does not comply, I will seek damages for willful violations of federal law and file complaints with the ****, ***, and other consumer protection agencies.
