    Subject: Complaint Regarding Debt Collection Practices - FDCPA Violation Dear Better Business Bureau,I am writing to file a complaint against Sentry Credit and Sequium Asset Solutions for violating the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), specifically 15 U.S.C. 1692, in their attempts to collect a debt that I do not owe. The alleged debt they claim is $249.76.1. Background:On 02/06/2025, I spoke to ****** at ************** (the original creditor), who confirmed that my account had a zero balance as of 05/14/2024, and that I owed nothing.2. Sentry Credit:Sentry confirmed my account was on hold and later stated that they found a response from the creditor confirming the $0 balance. They promised to send an email with this information, but I have yet to receive it. They also mentioned a "glitch" in their system that may have forwarded my account to ************************. Sequium Asset Solutions:Sequium used scare tactics, claiming that most debts in collections are valid and offering a settlement to pay a lower amount. They also failed to provide adequate debt validation in line with FDCPA requirements.4. Suspicious Contact Information:The number provided by Sequium did not match any valid listings, and their website had issues with captcha verification, making it impossible to continue my inquiry.5. Attached Documents:Final Account Statement confirming a $220.24 refund owed to me, signed by ******* Allure on 05/14/********** to Sentry Credit (01/21/2025) disputing the *********** to Sequium (02/06/2025) notifying them of FDCPA violations.I request that both companies immediately cease all collection activities and remove any false claims from my account. If not resolved within 30 days, I will file complaints with the ************************************ (****), the ************************ (***), and my states Attorney General.Thank you for your attention to this matter.

    I have never heard of or gotten anything in writing or via mail or phone call from Sequim yet today my credit was dropped 40 points for a debt I was not aware of, as you know that is a huge ding.had I known about saif debt I would have gladly taken care of it as stated above I was never sent any notice. at this point I want it taken off my credit

    On August 4, 2024, I received a bill from Xfinity for canceling my ******* internet service. I had no choice but to cancel because I lost my job, and my employer had been covering the rent for my apartment. When I relocated to a new city, my new residence already included WiFi. There was no reason for me to continue paying for a service I no longer needed.I contacted ******* to cancel, and they assured me everything was fine. They added a $25 monthly fee to my normal phone bill, which I paid, believing that my account was fully settled. At no point was I informed of any additional balance or outstanding ***********, six months later, I find a $109 collection from Sequium Asset Solutions on my credit report - completely out of nowhere. I was never notified of any unpaid balance, never given a chance to address it, and yet my credit has been damaged because of *******s failure to properly communicate. This is completely unacceptable.I demand an immediate resolution. ******* must remove this collection from my credit report, provide a full explanation for this charge, and correct their mistake. I will not tolerate unfair and deceptive billing practices that negatively impact my financial standing. I expect a prompt response and a full correction of this issue.

    Had Directv for 17 yrs, called and canceled in Mar of 2024. All payments were made automatically every month. I got a message Feb of 2025 from Sequium that I owed a balance. I disputed it and they told me that I had to give them $1 to get a report done or I couldn't dispute the charge. I refused and the service person said That I could not dispute the charge and why wouldn't I pay it to keep from being garnished. I told him it was illegal and I was reporting to BBB.

    This company filed an erroneous collection on my credit report. They falsely reported that I owe ******* a balance of $103. I do not. I owe ******* nothing, my account is paid in full. Experian corrected it, but if I see anything more from this scam of a company on my good credit report, I will be filing a lawsuit.

    This company showed up on my credit report stating I owe $271.00. I have no idea what this is for because I have never opened any accounts. They are claiming this account was open in July 29th 2024 and this is not true. Whatever this is has hurt my credit score by 72 points and I need this resolved.I need help getting this stuff removed from my credit report and my 72 points restored to my credit. Again, I have never heard of this collection company and I do not owe any money for whatever they are claiming.
