1 starTheir branch tellers are kind and quick, however their customer service call center team is a nightmare. Context: an urgent matter I had where a Suncoast rep took responsibility for the issue and was to proceed with written response to a merchant to have additional fees dropped took 2 weeks, 3 reps, and a **************** Feelings Specialist to resolve in which she was able to magically turn the issue to my fault with minimal description and no proof to show me to back her statement that made absolutely no sense. So hey, if you want to bank with a Corp that takes the fault verbally until its time to resolve it which leaves you paying their dues, Suncoast is your go to.Suncoast Credit Union

1 starThink twice about banking with Suncoast credit union!!!! I reached out to them about two weeks ago about a charge that was on my account from a bar in **********. At that time I was visiting in ************** using my debit card everywhere. Suncoast will not refund me the money that was spent at the bar **********. They said that this person used the chip on the card to pay the bill. Really!!!! Not sure how that happened when the card was in my possession the entire time. They were telling me that this person had my card in their hand when they used it to pay. How can I literally be in two places at the same time. You can see the time frame on the checking account when purchases were made. Suncoast has decided theres nothing they can do to help me. They canceled my card and issued me a new one. Well thanks so much Suncoast credit union for backing your customers up! How dumb can you be , to not investigate the purchases and time frame for this card. someone had my debit card in their hands when they paid at a bar in **********, this impossible and just Unacceptable! I had the card with me the entire time. Do your job and look into it! Thanks for the NO RESOLUTION!!!!Suncoast Credit Union

1 starThese people are crooks constantly having to jump through hurdles to spend my own money. Fraud detection is a joke picks up legitimate charges as fraud and fraud charges go right on through. 2 starsSuncoast used to be the best credit Union in Florida however now they are too preoccupied with adding new branches getting more members and paying people to bring in more members while forgetting the people that have been with them for a long long time like myself. My little hometown branch that was here back in 2005 they moved from the city 30 to 35 minutes in traffic out in the middle of nowhere because there's a new Walmart there and they only have one ATM in town that twice out of 3 months was actually working when we drove up to it. They tell us to go to Publix where you have to park half a mile away to walk up to the ATM on the outside if you don't need to purchase anything or to go to Winn-Dixie where you have to make a purchase because they don't have a separate ATM there. Now a week ago a man wrote a check signing over his account number and they took the $198 for his check out of my account. I noticed it a week ago today submitted a message online which took 2 days to get a response called last Friday was told it would take 2 days or 48 hours and because it was the weekend probably wouldn't be in my account till Tuesday. Today is Wednesday and it is still not back in my account. Have to holding for 30 minutes with a customer service rep who spoke very little and very broken English I was able to get someone else to assist me on the telephone. I was then told that the people taking care of this and debit card and credit card errors are very busy and it could take up to 5 days and that I should possibly have the money back in my account tomorrow or the day after tomorrow. Fortunately I have some cash left thank goodness I'm not in a position where that would be all I had for the rest of the month until I get my pay. It's really sad that Suncoast has forgotten the great service that made them who they are today and instead they are focused on getting more new members not using any of the profits to put in additional ATMs or make other branches.Suncoast Credit Union

1 starSuncoast decided to close my *** that Ive never defaulted on and has for over 20 years simply due to youve had it for a long time per their representative on the phone. The *** that was tied to my over draft protection. Then make me apple for another ***. Supposedly they sent me docs to sign and this would be a quick process Ive been on the phone with them for over 2 hours today! **** at the ******* branch was very apologetic but Id love for ********************** to try to provide me with a letter of notification that they were closing my account. 1 starBEWARE OF THIS FINANCIAL INSTITUTION!!!!My 100% mentally disabled brother is getting framed for fraudulent charges of $9k in a 6 day time frame that happened COMPLETELY out of state from where he lives. He has no means of transportation to get to the place where the withdrawals happened.They will GO AFTER MENTALLY DISABLED MEMBERS WHO DONT KNOW HOW TO DEFEND THEMSELVES AGAINST FRAUD JUST TO RECOUP THEIR LOSS.Don't make the mistake of banking here like my family did with letting my brother open an account.They DON'T care about you at all and will not do a proper investigation.Suncoast Credit Union
